So I guess we are back to Negative World. Here’s my response: Disciple more men. More Christian marriages. More Christian Dads and Moms. More Christian children. More Christian churches. More Christian schools. More Christian-owned businesses. More Christians in politics & government. Dig in. Focus on your neighborhood. Preach the Word. Set an example. Do evangelism. Love your neighbors. Send missionaries to the nations. Jesus Wins.

We have intel that Russia is preparing a new massive attack on our country – primarily targeting energy and logistics. The assumption is basically that tomorrow the world will be watching the American midterms, and what is happening here in Ukraine, along with our difficulties with air defense and Patriot missiles, will be overlooked. We need signals from the world to Russia that will make them feel that terror is no good, that it will bring no gains, and that as long as this war continues, their oil will burn, and they will not be able to make money doing business with the world. We must not play games with Russia’s oil or gas revenues. We must put pressure on Russia in such a way that it has no alternative but to end this war. America can do this.

If godly people do not step forward to influence the trajectory of the nation, godless people WILL (and are). Why Christians *should* vote in the midterm elections this week 👇

I’m struck by how often the life of faith is described as a walk...it’s steady plodding, one step at a time. And sometimes the win for the day is just that you kept walking — @lukedsimmons

Where is the national media?
Right now, a genocide against Christians, perpetrated by Muslims, is happening in Nigeria. More than 3,000 members of Reverend Ezekiel Dachomo’s church have been killed. And he has already conducted over 200 mass burials for his congregation. This year alone, more Christians have been killed in Nigeria than Gazans in 3 years of war. But no one seems to care, and the media remains silent.

President Trump’s decision to lift sanctions on Russian fuel amidst Putin’s ongoing and brutal attacks on civilian targets in Ukraine makes no sense and is a betrayal of the legacy and leadership of the late Senator Lindsey Graham. While Ukraine fights for its survival, Putin’s war machine continues to prosecute his terrorist war on civilian populations and innocent Ukrainians are dying every day. Now, Instead of implementing the tough sanctions Lindsey Graham fought to his last breath to enact, President Trump has announced the United States is lifting sanctions on Russian energy, fueling the Putin’s war machine. As I saw firsthand in Ukraine last month, Putin is losing this war. Ukraine has fought the Russian military to a standstill and reinvented warfare with drones taking the fight into the heart of Russia. America should not be throwing a lifeline to Putin’s war machine. Now is the time to stand strong against Russian aggression as we did during the first Trump administration. Putin doesn’t want peace. Putin wants Ukraine. I have no doubt that if Putin overruns Ukraine, it will only be a matter of time until Russia’s military crosses a border that our troops will have to deal with him. America is the Leader of the Free World. For our National Security, for the security of our Allies in Europe including Ukraine, President Trump should rescind this deal immediately and return to the strong policies of our four years in the White House; impose harsh sanctions on any nation purchasing Russian energy and work with our allies to ensure Ukraine has the military support it needs to repel and defeat this Russian invasion once and for all. This is exactly what it looks like when a mother decides she has finally had enough. School boards have spent years turning classrooms into counseling sessions and patting themselves on the back. This woman just stood up to the microphone and brought them right back to reality: the only goal of an educational system is to prepare children to be productive members of society. The future of this country looks a whole lot brighter when women like this step up and testify for the next generation. We need thousands more of her taking a stand.

Every pastor should do a sermon on the Christian responsibility to vote (probably once every 2 years is appropriate considering our present cultural reality). Civic engagement is simply good stewardship and a way to “leave an inheritance” for future generations. (Prov. 13:22) Christians can live out the command to “love your neighbor” by voting for policies and leaders who will bless our neighbors and not harm them. (Mark 12:31) Voting is one way to function as “salt and light” to the world—preserving against moral decay and reinforcing biblical values related to truth and justice. (Mt. 5:13–16) Nobody wants to stop Christians from voting more than Satan. When Christians avoid engaging in civic governance, the devil is more than happy to step in and fill that void to steer humanity toward destruction. Christians are taught to pray for God’s will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. This means we should desire it, pray for it, and take practical steps to work toward this outcome—which includes voting our way closer to it. (Mt. 6:10) Underemphasis on this responsibility has created apathy and passivity among Christians, which leaves governance in the hands of the wicked. This hurts people in practical ways and hinders gospel ministry. Christians need guidance to understand that perfection is not the standard for electing a civil leader. We often must choose between various flawed candidates. The goal is to always choose the best option available; often, the choice is between an evil leader and a flawed-but-better leader. King Jehu is an example of a flawed-but-generally-good leader whom God used to stop wicked leaders. (2 Kings 9–10) Many elections are won by a narrow margin. If more Christians fulfilled their duty to vote, the impact would be enormous. “When the godly are in authority, the people rejoice. But when the wicked are in power, they groan.” — Proverbs 29:2

Just wait until I tell them: • I don’t care who wrote the song • Multiple services are better • Church plants that can’t grow shouldn’t be started • Youth ministry is amazing • Faithful churches usually grow • I still love Keller and TGC Love y’all. Heaven will be so fun
Visited a healthy church in another state today… While it was sweet to see some families worshipping together, I was grieved by how distracted parents were by their small children. In my view, everyone would have been better served by utilizing the kids ministry.

The Russian leadership is now pulling more air defense assets to Moscow, Valdai, and Putin’s bridge across the Kerch Strait – at the expense of air defense elsewhere. In the Moscow region alone, they have amassed hundreds of launchers for S-400, S-500, and Pantsir systems. Nearly 90 launchers have been redeployed to Valdai from other regions of Russia, and a special air defense division is also being formed there to safeguard the peace and quiet of the Russian chief. To compare, there are only a couple of launchers per direction across Russia and around their other cities. Those are their priorities. They are protecting their power – the source of this war. More than 60 Russian regions are already experiencing fuel shortages. There has also been a sharp increase in gas and diesel prices – if they are available at all. Russian security services have even proposed postponing or cancelling altogether the ritual of electing “United Russia” to the State Duma. Their latest imitation of elections was scheduled for September, and intelligence reports now show that Russia itself is not confident about what will be happening by September. There are many difficulties – all because Putin refuses to end his war and to hear our proposals for a meeting, genuine negotiations, and a dignified peace.

🚨 The House just voted 218-204 to move forward on the discharge petition to provide military aid to Ukraine and impose tough sanctions on Russia. The House will vote on final passage tomorrow. This is our Churchill moment and we must pass the test.
