Lakers might as well sign this guy out of the stands, he probably shoots better then their wings too 🤷🏾‍♂️

17-0 run, Draymond moving screen, and a technical to blow the game is brutal. No points scored for 3+ minutes to blow a double-digit lead on your home floor is nasty work. It’s might be a long season for Steph and co.

Amen Thompson wow, sent Wemby away to seal the win. That’s special stuff.

Dylan Harper is so different man, raced down the court and just spiked one on Sengun’s head. This game is insane.

These Rockets looking good. Ball is moving, energy is there, and shots are falling. They’ve got the Spurs on their heels.

Jayson Tatum with some nasty shot-making to cap off a 25 point 2nd half. Superstar stuff.

Mitchell Robinson with big plays on both ends, what a sequence.

Through 2 games Jayson Tatum has made a more concerted effort to diversify where he scores from. The issue to me is that he isn’t being physical enough in the SMR/Painted areas. I love the playmaking, but a primary option that’s a 6’10 wing with 1 FTA in 2 games ain’t it.

A thing to watch for is how teams that invert matchups with their big on Watson shifts the Cavs offense. Watson didn’t look as comfortable screening, had 5 tovs, & missed all his 3s. The floor feels cramped and honestly I think the team looks significantly better with Tyson.
What was the point of trading for James Harden if the bigs are still gonna get frozen out of the offense?

They need the things Watson adds on the other end, but he’s a major question mark to me on O. Very low feel player.

Nobody will believe in the Cavs because of losses like this, and honestly that’s fair. It’s 1 of 82, but with how last season ended this is a deflating way to open your season. 67-35 in the 2nd half, wilted against backcourt pressure, and gifted Philly freebies turning it over.

That’s a crazy over-turn by the officials. Embiid reaches across first before Harden swings up to shoot it. That’s purely a reputational decision.

I hope Kenny Atkinson doesn’t use the word analytically in the post-game presser. You can legit say anything else.

Craig Porter Jr has been solid to me. He’s one of the few guys on this team that high-points the ball on rebounds and secures it with 2 hands. Seems like a small detail, but on this team it really matters.

No player ignites the Philly crowd like Tyrese Maxey.

The lack of movement in Philly’s offense makes them a lot easier to guard than they should be. The ball changes side to side maybe once, and it’s a lot of guys staring at each other unsure of how to move off one another. They have 35 points on 39 shots and have only shot 4 FTs.

Really impressive 1st shift from Mario Hezonja. Overpowered the smaller Maxey in the post, good individual defense vs Jaylen Brown to force a miss, then blows up the handoff for a breakaway slam. Welcome back to the association.

Imo it should be closer so it’s easier to close out on. EuroLeague shoots it a lot too but it’s a harder shot cause it’s always contested.
He hit more 3s than the Heat last night, and the Wolves as a unit launched 50. With how skilled shooters are becoming is it time to consider change? Is the optimal place for the 3-point line now, really where it was when it was first introduced in 1979?
