Kudos to @EastMidRailway for offering bottles of water to arriving customers this afternoon at Lincoln Station. Thoughts with staff and those colleagues and passengers directly affected by the accident in Bedfordshire last week ❤️

25 years ago today a University course-mate of mine, and his friend, were tragically killed by a drunk driver in Nottingham.
Rob Bradley and Alex Veeder were 20 and 21 with bright futures ahead of them.
Rob & I were both studying broadcast journalism and I often wonder what he might have gone on to do - not afforded the chance at life I’ve had.
Rob and his family are particularly in my thoughts today.
Drink-driving ruins lives.

I’d like to congratulate @RyderCupEurope on their victory. Your team play the first few days was sensational.
More importantly, I’d like to apologize for the rude and mean-spirited behavior from our American crowd at Bethpage.
As a former player, Captain and as an American, I am ashamed of what happened. #RyderCup

Postecoglou on playing style: "I’ve played every system there is. Mate, I’ve done 4-4-2 for a whole season.
"Never go away from wanting my teams to play football that’s exciting and gets people talking. From my perspective I try and do things differently." #nffc

Nottingham Forest is delighted to confirm the appointment of Ange Postecoglou as the Club’s First Team Head Coach.
Postecoglou has been in management for over 25 years, arriving on Trentside with experience of regularly competing and winning trophies at the highest level.
After enjoying very successful seasons with Brisbane Roar and Yokohama F. Marinos, winning the League with both clubs, he was appointed manager of Celtic in June 2021. A successful tenure in Glasgow saw Postecoglou win the domestic double in his first season in Scotland and the treble in his second year, which earned him a nomination for the FIFA World Coach of the Year in 2023.
Moving to England to take over at Tottenham Hotspur, who finished fifth in his first season, Postecoglou guided Spurs to their first major trophy in 17 years, winning the Europa League in 2024/25 and qualifying for the Champions League.
Owner, Evangelos Marinakis, said of Postecoglou’s appointment: “We are bringing a coach to the Club who has a proven and consistent record of winning trophies. His experience of coaching teams at the highest level, along with his desire to build something special with us at Forest, makes him a fantastic person to help us on our journey and achieve consistently all our ambitions.
“After gaining promotion to the Premier League, then building consistently season after season to secure European football, we now must take the right step to compete with the very best and challenge for trophies. Ange has the credentials and the track-record to do this, and we are excited he is joining us on our ambitious journey."

Nottingham Forest Football Club confirms that, following recent circumstances, Nuno Espírito Santo has today been relieved of his duties as Head Coach.
The Club thanks Nuno for his contribution during a very successful era at The City Ground, in particular his role in the 2024/25 season, which will forever be remembered fondly in the history of the Club.
As someone who played a pivotal role in our success last season, he will always hold a special place in our journey.

Nuno did an outstanding job at Forest - they are at least a couple of years ahead of schedule, and he’s a huge part of that.
That accelerated evolution has made it almost a different job to the one he took.
Some will argue he deserved the chance to show he could evolve along with the club, but perhaps this is a case of one man being right for one stage of a club’s development, and someone with different experience/skillset being right for the next phase #Nuno #nffc
