I was really into the occult as a teenager… don’t make my fun of my username! It is still cool, aesthetically speaking, but also kind of cringe.

Democracy in America is becoming a tiktok audition to see if you can convince an uneducated population on social media to make you famous and pay you to control far more serious peoples lives.

If you dig into people’s lives that have financial troubles you’ll find the cloud of chaos. A never ending vortex of interpersonal drama, of jobs lost (never their fault), cheating, low level criminality, substance abuse, injuries etc… if you grew up with these people you know the financial troubles are just another manifestation of their poor choices. If they tripped and fell into 7 figures they stand up in debt. I think that’s why Caleb gets so much hate. It shows how much of this chaos is self caused. How much of it can’t be fixed with more money. This threatens a lot of assumptions about the root causes of things like criminal justice and welfare.

Search and “rescue” applications, yeah, definitely
Purdue University's IDEAS Lab built an autonomous drone that tracks runners through dense forests completely without GPS or cloud networks. By running 3D LiDAR mapping and obstacle-avoidance AI entirely on-chip, it can weave under tree canopies and predict target movement through blind spots in real time. Massive implications for next-gen search & rescue and edge AI.

Important to remember, when viewing these videos of life looking better in the past, is that they are already of the decline This is after the Great War, in the cultural degradation of Weimar. The Belle Époque and its glories were long dead and buried, and still life looked far, far better Why? Because remnants of the old remained, and those who had lived in the world that once was fought desperately to retain what of it they could. They lost, largely, but are the reason that even life in the collapse of Berlin circa 1927 looks better than life in the present: at least they tried to dress well, despite it all, and act with dignity and decorum in public, despite it all. That's more than we can say, even in our age of abundance. And they didn't have Pakis, Turks, or Somalis in their midst

One thing I've noticed is that people are blind to infrastructure. In this image, you see a well-maintained road, even with pedestrian infrastructure, neatly clipped grass, a powerline, almost no trash etc. yet the person thinks it's Nigeria because the houses are shabby.
Zoomed into a random small town in Brazil. This is how it looks. Only marginally better than towns in Nigeria.

The "Conservative Bohemian" has a hard time finding a place to lay his head. Doesn't really fit in bourgeois conservative circles, nor in Bass Pro America, nor in the crunchy lib enclaves. Lib enclaves sometimes seem most appealing but very quickly you are remined exactly why you don't live there.
I've glorified poverty and dilapidation largely because I've always assumed I'd be poor forever regardless of what I did. I figured I might as well learn to get enthusiastic about poverty, dysfunction, and obscurity if it was inevitable. Now that I've escaped it, I ask myself: "What the hell do I do now?" What do I actually want? After years of training myself to "want" a poor life on the distant (rural) margins, now that I no longer have to do that I have no idea what it is that I actually want. Always, I've let my blackpilled perspective on my own station interrupt my ability to want anything. If it wasn't ultra-cheap, I simply forced myself to not want it, period. Now? I could realistically make it work almost anywhere with careful planning. Could get into all sorts of businesses, try anything, make any number of interesting or edifying gambles or ventures... this is solely because of careful, anxiety-inducing levels of fiscal caution and extreme frugality. If you've ever wondered why it is that I seem "all over the place," it's this exact thing. It's this combined with becoming a father and realizing that the dilapidation and poverty I've forced myself to "want" isn't actually what I want to give my kids.

A lot of nominally anti-immigration people have a really bad mental model of the world, and they don't really understand on a visceral level what the population levels of India, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines etc look like - there is a de facto *infinite* supply of these people and by simple entropic logic they will get *everywhere* in the absence of extremely strict controls at both ends.

Hard to swallow pill: If you’re not prepared to shoot these animals, you will forever be at their mercy. They understand only power and violence. If you aren’t going to overmatch their violence, they will always have power. Postmodern liberals want to believe we’ve outgrown such things. We absolutely have not, and never will.
A completely immorally surreal scene in Lyon: France 🇫🇷 A woman begs the rioters to put out the fire they set at the entrance to the building where children are trapped because the firefighters are blocked further down the street by barricades they erected. The protester tells her, "I don't give a damn, we're young, we want rights."

one other thought a major issue for the right is the inability to turn out very large crowds, which is a core mode of demonstrating and therefore exercising power in crises this weakness is partly organizational, partly demographic, and partly geographic @bronzeagemantis is right about the strategic madness of having surrendered cities to the left

Leftist discourse is in many ways trapped in the pages of Das Kapital and Oliver Twist. Poverty is still imagined in Dickensian images of orphans begging for food, chimney sweeps stealing bread to feed a family of 14, and the urban poor crammed into crumbling, freezing tenements. The identity of the oppressed has shifted from economic (working class, middle class, etc.) towards race and gender, but the underlying oppressor–oppressed paradigm remains frozen in the aesthetic imagination of the 19-century English city.
How many Americans actually just straight-up starve to death? In the latest data, from 2024, there were 22 cases. And not even one of them was about poverty making it unaffordable to obtain food.

How many Americans live paycheck-to-paycheck? How many are starving? The answer to both questions is--despite what you might have heard from the news media--not many. Link: cremieux.xyz/p/how-many-amer…

At some point we are going to have to stop this. It's counterproductive. The attacks garner zero sympathy and just embolden crazy leftists. The reaction to Charlie Kirk's murder should have told us that 1000 times over. You don't win by getting covered in yoghurt.
Yesterday, a masked far-left thug cowardly hurled yoghurt at @NickTenconi while he sat peacefully at our free speech stand at KCL. Imagine being so consumed by hatred that you resort to attacking someone simply for expressing views you disagree with. These extremists have been emboldened by leftist politicians who turn a blind eye to their intimidation and excuse their behaviour. No one should have to face abuse for exercising their right to free speech. Political violence is utterly disgraceful and must never be tolerated.

Ilhan Omar was admitted as a ‘refugee,’ her father was a senior military figure involved in a very ugly military adventure, she possibly misrepresented her birth date to meet citizenship eligibility, she maybe married her possibly gay brother to try to get him citizenship, she’s had a litany of very questionable financial disclosures, and she was thick as thieves with some of the most outrageous welfare scammers in Minneapolis. What are we doing here?? Her being where she is demonstrates a complete lack of standards across an extraordinary range of social, legal, political, and administrative domains.
I don't think people realize how obviously gay Ilhan's brother-husband is. There really is no doubt for anyone honest about what the marriage was.

My friend from Middle East about this video: "I’m afraid this is so true" "It is sooo so so true" "I just don’t understand how they have not seen it coming it’s confusing… like the entire European leadership… no clue wtf" If you say this as a European you're instantly banished from any social setting in Western Europe, which is of course why all of this is happening!
