SMH...😂😂😂😂😂😂 They should give dangote 700barrel.
Nigeria pumps about 1.8m barrels of oil a day. Plenty for Dangote, you'd think. Finance Minister Taiwo Oyedele says under 700,000 are freely available once JV and production-sharing partners take their share. Dangote needs about 700,000 to run at full capacity. "We don't have enough to service Dangote," he said. That's why there's no cheap crude coming. punchng.com/middle-east-offe…

The funny part is PBAT is not affected by this reform because Hes is spending pounds, but when we have been borrowing to pay salaries where are they?. What are the alternatives? Devalue Naira and let is discover the true value or continue to borrow so as to pegged it.
‘Every Nigerian is made poor by 300%’ — Obasanjo faults naira devaluation under Tinubu Former President Olusegun Obasanjo says President Bola Tinubu’s economic reforms have contributed to the sharp devaluation of the naira and worsened poverty in Nigeria. Speaking on Wednesday at the Financial Times Africa summit 2026 in London, United Kingdom (UK), Obasanjo said the sharp decline in the naira’s value had impoverished Nigerians and contributed to the country’s position as the world’s poverty capital. “We do not live in isolation as a country. We interact with the rest of the world. And overnight, you devalue the currency by 300 percent. The naira went from N500 to a dollar to N1,500 to a dollar,” Obasanjo said. thecable.ng/every-nigerian-i…

In 2016 FG established NGFCP under the NGMP and New decade of gas. In 2023, there was a bid to convert all the flare to useful product such as LPG. Report from @NMDPRA_Official shows that 55% of our LPG use are imported while 45% is produced locally. Our reserves is over 210TCF.
BREAKING: FG approves a project to turn wasted gas in the Niger Delta into electricity. The project is expected to provide power for over 80,000 homes and businesses, helping to reduce gas waste and increase electricity supply in Nigeria.

Don't forget Nigeria has over 202TCF of gas in our reserved but producing around 8BCF/day. Our LPG production locally is 45%, we imported 55%, These are the opportunities foreigners seeing in Nigeria. Invest in GPP, profit is X3 the investment within 1yrs. @ennyola0015 @woye1

The emergency of key indigenous companies into oil and gas sector is not coincidence, it's policy and capacity. If we as people didn't see it as a good thing, then we don't what we want. Also Shell is not going anywhere rather they are diversified their portfolio.
Imagine seeing this after reading about Environmental Litigation, Corporate Accountability, and Community Rights – Shell’s Niger Delta Dilemma 😂😂😂😂. Shell has issues in Nigeria, but it’s not the regular issue, it has to deal with environmental impact, desecration of the Ogoni land. Shell had been previously sued, but all to no avail till 2021 when Dutch court ruled against the parent company. The parent company had previously maintained that they are not responsible for their subsidiary activities in Nigeria. The Dutch court also ruled that the parent company had a duty of care. Shell still has an ongoing case in court with against about 13,000 claimant. From 2024 shell started to divest away from onshore; they started selling their assets to move away from the lands, invariably handing over all assets and liabilities. Shell’s defense is that the oil spillage wasn’t necessary their fault, oil pipeline were bunkered by militants and it lead to serious spillages. The community claimed that the spillages desecrated their lands, made their farmlands impossible to farm, and resulted in serious environmental pollution. These issues date back to Ken Saro Wiwa, the unjust killing of others and much more. The government via NNPC is a partner with Shell, due to JV’s and as such they are not an independent entity. Military approach to Ogoni outcry in 1995 was what led to the death of Ken saro wiwa, and subsequently insurgency and militancy rose in the creeks and this area. (Shell is not the only operator please). Now that Shell is divesting away from on shores, the question arises if they should clean areas they had affected, Shell claims it’s no longer in their purview as they have sold to new owners. Shell can do as much CSR, but they cannot handle government responsibility and duty to the people on the government’s behalf. This issue is not a 2026 issues it’s over 40 years and it’s ongoing, this sums up why Shell is leaving the land and selling it assets and shifting attention off shore.

Wait until you hear from Arises people tomorrow.
Shell is exiting Nigeria’s domestic gas distribution business, selling its entire stake in Shell Nigeria Gas to indigenous energy firm Vaaris Energy Limited. However, Shell is not leaving Nigeria. It will retain its focus on deepwater operations and integrated gas, including its interest in Nigeria LNG.
