We asked GPT-6 Astra to edit Qwen3.5-0.8B weights to improve math. It directly changed only 0.016% of weights, fixing 0.8B's reasoning loops & improving math up to 6x and even instruction following 3x, without gradients or training. We call this Weight-Space Programming: frontier LLMs can now natively read/write neural network weights! 🧵 Blog: rikiyat.github.io/blog/weigh…

Robert and I are thrilled that our gift of over 2 million shares of SpaceX stock will be distributed to children’s Trump accounts in December!   Our initial gift (shares transferring to escrow as we speak) will go to 11 to 17-year-olds who live in zip codes with median family income (MFI) of $57,000 or less, and to those who live in zip codes with too few residents for an MFI to be reported in the census. These families should receive a notice by Monday.    In a few weeks, an additional gift will be finalized for eligible 11 to 17-year-old children in military families serving overseas, children in foster care, and more children whose MFI is $90,000 or less living in counties near our home in the great state of Texas.   Thank you to the incredible team @SpaceX, @Treasury, @IRS, @DellFdn, @GreaterHorizons, @InvestAmerica24, and the legal firms of Morgan Lewis and Gibson Dunn for working over the past few months to make this happen.   We are deeply grateful for the groundbreaking work that Brad Gerstner @altcap and @MichaelDell have done for the long-term financial security for millions of kids.   God Bless America!

A ‘hello world’ milestone for Project Suncatcher 🚀 After launching our prototype satellite a few weeks ago, we’ve now successfully sent a command up to orbit, booted up the TPU, ran the prompt, and received our first complete response back on earth - a haiku!

Our second product is called Blindsight and it will, as the name suggests, enable even those who are completely blind or have never seen to see. It is ready from an engineering standpoint. Just waiting on regulatory approval.
Neuralink’s first product is called Telepathy. It enables high-speed communication with computers or humans simply by thinking. Output bandwidth will vastly exceed the fastest human speech or typing in a few years. Read that sentence again.

You are moving to a different point now, which is fine. But I want you to know that I was respectful in my reply, as I have been to the critics. You were not correct about the public display of the Moon rocks or about prior presidents having rocks in the Oval Office. Now you have pivoted to the budget request. The President submitted a budget request that challenged NASA to do more with less. I provided testimony on the budget because, as you would see in OIG reports, there are examples where NASA was not the best at resource allocation and outcomes suffered. But ultimately, Congress appropriated funding, as is its responsibility. Then we had a year like 2026: the Artemis II mission went very well and we immediately press on to Artemis III, not wasting time or money, six astrophysics missions set records; we held “too big to fail” programs accountable for being over budget and behind schedule; and we launched new initiatives in a logical, iterative way, like Moon Base and SR-1 Freedom. A flagship mission like Roman launched ahead of schedule. X-planes are actually flying again (and on their way to KSC at this moment). We have dramatically rebuilt the workforce, added thousands of civil servants, and put our machine shops back to building hardware. We have taken control of our destiny and put NASA back in the driver seat. And as a result, we have a President who has clearly taken notice and is showing a lot of interest in America’s space program, from Artemis to Roman. This is how you go from being asked to do more with less to being asked to do more with more.

Interesting that you should mention that. Since I took over as Administrator, we put three Moon rocks on display in the lobby of NASA HQ. They are there now, and anyone can walk in and see them. We also brought Moon rocks to multiple public events, including America’s 250th birthday celebration on the National Mall and NASA fan engagement zones in Cleveland, New York, Pittsburgh, and Tuscaloosa. President Trump is the third president to have a Moon rock in the Oval Office. Presidents Clinton and Biden did as well, so you have your facts wrong. You should maybe try to put the obvious political bias aside for a second. If you love NASA, having a president who supports the space program and where we are going, the Moon, is a good thing. And, as inconvenient as it may be for you, the facts are that POTUS established the Artemis program, the Artemis Accords, and the Space Force, and has now provided the National Space Policy calling for a Moon Base.

Another day, another China cancellation. First Mbappé, now Hello Kitty. And the worst part is, both La Liga and Sanrio completely folded. The target this time was a Japanese spy thriller TV show. Chinese state media claimed its torture scenes mirrored what Japanese troops did to Chinese fighters in WWII, and used it to whip up the usual frenzy about Japanese atrocities. Sanrio (Hello Kitty’s company) responded by killing its merch and marketing collab with the drama. What’s insane is the double standard. China pumps out endless anti-Japan movies and shows specifically to breed hyper-nationalism among its youth, but you don’t see Japan weaponizing its culture against China the same way. Yet China managed to get a beloved JAPANESE 🇯🇵 cartoon icon to yeet itself from a JAPANESE show made for a JAPANESE audience. It's just as infuriating as La Liga promising to develop an “awareness and communications protocol” to re-educate its league players on Chinese sensitivities. This is pure submission to an insecure foreign power. STOP BEING CUCKS and just exit the Chinese market ffs

I would hope, although I seriously doubt it, that this began with a mea culpa about his own inaction when Putin invaded Ukraine in 2014. Yes, we want everyone supporting Ukraine against Russia aggression, but Obama is a badly flawed messenger.
OBAMA: The White House is bending the knee to Vladimir Putin of Russia and selling out Ukrainians who are fighting for their freedom and democracy.

It's funny to see CCP apologists spend their time overcoming the Great Firewall just to challenge the French to insult Napoleon/Jews or ask Spaniards to insult the Pope/Jews. Of course, many French and Spaniards happily take the challenge and laugh at them. But despite what happens in certain provinces in China, I haven't seen any of those apologists demand that the French or Spaniards insult you-know-what - something we know most French and Spaniards wouldn't dare to insult.

It may be a little harsh and overly generalized, but in my view, making comments like this after Mbappé, La Liga, and Real Madrid have already apologized is a typical European approach to assessing the situation.
Amid Xi Jinping’s tourism and goodwill campaigns, the Mbappé incident once again exposed what the Communist Party-run state dictatorship really is: fragile.

On the other hand, talking too much with Europeans has made me more or less European. On this issue, I really should have made less fun of Europe and criticized CCP more.

International soccer star @KMbappe should not apologize for calling Mao Zedong a dictator. Mao was a dictator, and by orders of magnitude, he did more harm to the Chinese people than a comment from a soccer player ever could. Mao was the leader of the CCP for decades and his dictatorship and disastrous policies killed tens of millions of Chinese people in the Cultural Revolution, the Great Famine, and other atrocities. Involved in the Party from its first national meeting in 1921, Mao is the principal historical figure for a Party that continues his practices of oppression and ideological purges. For decades, the CCP has denied the Chinese people basic human rights including freedom of expression and freedom of religion. These are rights enjoyed by Mbappe and millions of people around the world and Mbappe should exercise this opportunity to tell the horrific truth about Mao’s dictatorship. The real disgrace in this news story is the companies rushing to apologize so they can continue to do business in China. The CCP is the largest oppressor of the Chinese people and their human rights, and those businesses that work with the CCP help normalize its crushing brutality. reuters.com/business/media-t…

Over the past few months, Anthropic scientists have engaged in deep research partnerships with six organizations developing new medicines. We've also begun drug discovery efforts of our own. In doing so, we’ve learned much more about how Claude can support the many stages of drug development. In this blog post, we share some early results from these efforts, and describe how this work fits in with our wider ambitions in the life sciences. anthropic.com/research/early…

And both the far left and the far right around the world are worried that the US MIC may destroy the world.
Boeing $BA -10% 🩸 Following Boeing's cut to its 2026 aircraft delivery outlook, as production increases for the 737 MAX and 787 Dreamliner are taking longer than expected, partly due to engine supply issues. Boeing now expects to fall short of its target of around 500 737 deliveries this year, while 787 deliveries are expected near 90, the lower end of its previous guidance. It could also take until the end of 2027 to reach its longer-term 737 production target. The commercial aircraft division reported a $697M operating loss, nearly double the $361M loss analysts expected. Boeing also reported a core loss of $0.34 per share vs. $0.21 expected, although revenue rose 4% to $24.2B and free cash flow of $464M beat estimates of $325M.

The natural conclusion Mr. Trump might draw from Mbappé’s and La Liga’s apologies for calling Mao a dictator is that he should have treated Europe even more harshly - then they would surrender. After all, if threatening access to the Chinese market was enough to force those apologies, closing the U.S. market may achieve the same. The good news is that he cannot do that single-handedly; the bad news is that it probably reinforces his belief that he should have that power. But he should be careful. Europeans may offer an apology if forced (and applying that force is already difficult, since at least 50% of Americans would oppose him on it), because an apology is free. However, if he really wants Europe to give up something in its own interest - i.e., to abandon a “Europe First” approach -then he has to offer something real in exchange. Simply threatening is probably not enough.
