إن شاء الله
Every muslim should have the books of Imam ibn al-Qayyim in his home.
Shaykh ‘Ādil b. Īsā ar-Ruhaylī حفظه الله on the Works of Ibn Qayyim and their Importance in the lives of the believer!
Shaykh ‘Ādil is from the mashayikh of Madinah, known to the mashayikh and an excellent teacher and murabbi. May Allah preserve him.
In times like these, we are in need more than ever to return back to the mashayikh. And he is of the most nurturing of teachers around.
I shared the video and informed the Shaykh I would be translating & sharing more of his works. He thanked and encouraged:
“Strive hard, so that Allah may bring about benefit through it.”

{أَلَمۡ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِینَ یَزۡعُمُونَ أَنَّهُمۡ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِمَاۤ أُنزِلَ إِلَیۡكَ وَمَاۤ أُنزِلَ مِن قَبۡلِكَ یُرِیدُونَ أَن یَتَحَاكَمُوۤا۟ إِلَى ٱلطَّـٰغُوتِ وَقَدۡ أُمِرُوۤا۟ أَن یَكۡفُرُوا۟ بِهِۦۖ وَیُرِیدُ ٱلشَّیۡطَـٰنُ أَن یُضِلَّهُمۡ ضَلَـٰلَۢا بَعِیدࣰا}
“Have you not seen those [hypocrites] who claim to believe in what was revealed to you and what was revealed before you? They wish to take their disputes to the ṭāghūt for judgment, though they were commanded to reject it. And Satan wishes to lead them far astray.”
{وَإِذَا قِیلَ لَهُمۡ تَعَالَوۡا۟ إِلَىٰ مَاۤ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ وَإِلَى ٱلرَّسُولِ رَأَیۡتَ ٱلۡمُنَـٰفِقِینَ یَصُدُّونَ عَنكَ صُدُودࣰا}
“And when they are told, ‘Come to what Allah has revealed and to the Messenger’ [that is, refer your disputes to the Quran and Sunnah for judgment], you see the hypocrites turn away from you in outright refusal.”
{وَعَدَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡمُنَـٰفِقِینَ وَٱلۡمُنَـٰفِقَـٰتِ وَٱلۡكُفَّارَ نَارَ جَهَنَّمَ خَـٰلِدِینَ فِیهَاۚ هِیَ حَسۡبُهُمۡۚ وَلَعَنَهُمُ ٱللَّهُۖ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابࣱ مُّقِیمࣱ}
“Allah has promised the hypocrite men, the hypocrite women, and the disbelievers the Fire of Hell, where they will remain forever. It is enough for them. Allah has cursed them, and for them is an enduring punishment.”

One day I was in one of the book stores near the university, that day I was searching for the books of Imam Muhammad Aman al Jami.
When I was at the counter, I asked “kutub shaykh Aman al Jami mutawaffirah?…” or some sort in that meaning
then the worker went and look for it…
he said “read from the scholars… leave those who are other than them from the muasireen…”
I turned my face away and ignored him showing clear disagreement.
