I genuinely donā€™t understand how ordinary people are supposed to afford assisted living for their aging parents. Some facilities charge upwards of $10,000 A MONTH. Thatā€™s $120,000 a year just to make sure your parents are properly cared for. How is the average family supposed to afford that?
