YouTube has left two of my established channels without monetization for 139 days.
But here’s what makes this case especially difficult to understand.
On August 28, a YouTube Creator Support specialist investigated my accounts and confirmed that one associated channel was the sole reason my other channels couldn’t monetize.
I followed YouTube’s guidance. I rebuilt the affected channel with personally recorded and edited content, reapplied to YPP, and submitted a video appeal demonstrating my original production process.
My appeal was rejected.
However, that same specialist had explicitly instructed me to return after the appeal so Support could check whether I qualified for a potential final review (second appeal).
I did exactly that.
And after months of emails, support chats, another comprehensive case, and even a 30-day restriction from contacting Support, I still haven’t received a clear answer about whether that eligibility check ever happened.
Instead, I’m repeatedly told to wait another 90 days and reapply.
I’m not asking YouTube to ignore its policies or automatically reinstate my monetization.
I’m asking for a documented review process that YouTube’s own specialist directed me toward to actually be addressed.
This has been my livelihood for years. Four and a half months without YPP income has taken a serious financial toll.
@TeamYouTube, can someone with the appropriate authority please confirm whether my case was assessed for the additional review mentioned by your specialist?
And to other creators: Has anyone successfully obtained an additional internal YPP review after a rejected video appeal? What route actually worked?
I genuinely want to resolve this through YouTube’s proper channels.
UPDATE: YouTube has admitted they made a mistake
after their AI Gemini bot falsely terminated millions of channels
YouTube responded by using AI, automated replies on X
but recently, things have changed
YouTube is now responding on X as actual humans
my channels are still falsely terminated and haven't been restored
I just make economic and fitness documentaries (a human would know if they checked)
but YouTube has finally begun to take action
this includes people who do NOT have many followers
retweet and tag @TeamYouTube if you want help
This is incredible, thank you for your hard work Jay

I officially won the case against YouTube!
A legal body officially certified under EU law has ruled on my demonetization case against YouTube and found in my favour on every point, i.e “I won”.
Official decision:
— YouTube’s demonetization was declared unlawful
— The measure must be overturned
— YouTube pays the costs
The Arbiter found:
YouTube contradicted itself. My channel was reviewed and readmitted to the Partner Program on April 15. Nine days later, YouTube demonetized it again for the same reason. If that reason still applied, the readmission would never have happened.
The remedy YouTube offered was impossible. YouTube said monetization could only return if the related channel was readmitted, but that channel was deleted and cannot be readmitted. The Arbiter called this “a permanent measure with no defined path to resolution.”
No human reviewed my appeal. My video appeal was rejected automatically within hours. Under EU law, that’s not allowed. The Arbiter concluded no human reviewer was assigned to my case.
The policy was hidden. YouTube relied on a rule that only exists in its internal resources, creators couldn’t read it.
YouTube offered no defence. They argued only that the case didn’t apply to them. They said nothing to justify what they did.
Under EU law, YouTube has a duty to cooperate in good faith with this ruling.
So @TeamYouTube please do the right thing, manually clear “related channel” flag and restore my channel’s monetization.
I’ve been waiting half year now.
139 days without YouTube monetization.
Two channels I spent years building lost their income because of a related-channel suspension.
I followed YouTube’s instructions, spent months rebuilding the affected channel with original content, and submitted an appeal showing my recording and editing process.
A Support specialist told me to return so they could check my eligibility for a possible final review. I did. Months later, I still haven’t received confirmation that the check ever happened.
What did I lose? My financial stability. My peace of mind. The ability to create without constantly worrying about how I’m going to support myself.
And what hurts most is feeling like nobody at YouTube is actually listening.
I’m not asking for special treatment. I’m asking for a fair review and a real answer.
@TeamYouTube, we’re people whose livelihoods depend on these decisions.

"The FTC has been investigating YouTube since last year and is reportedly preparing a potential lawsuit, according to Bloomberg"
This article goes on about the @FTC analyzing whether youtube mislead their creators about what content they are allowed to post, only to br later terminated or demonetized.
Like I said before; transparency has become a huge issue in this termination/demonetization story. The policies on youtube's own website do not give clear directions . It's not just "scorned creators" complaining about this.

Glad you made it to the end!!!!
Really hoping I get my chance too @TeamYouTube
Day 126 without YouTube Partner Program monetization. October 14, 2026.
Here’s the timeline of what’s happened:
May: An unused channel received reused-content enforcement despite having zero public videos.
June 11: That unresolved enforcement triggered related-channel YPP suspensions on my two established channels.
June–August: Following YouTube Support’s guidance, I spent nearly 90 days rebuilding the affected channel with original recordings, researched spoken commentary, and editing.
August 21–28: I reapplied to YPP after completing the remediation. Rejected.
On August 28, a Support specialist confirmed this was the sole channel blocking my others and instructed me to return after my video appeal for a possible final review.
September: I submitted an appeal showing my recording equipment, original editing projects, and production workflow. It was rejected with generic monetization-policy feedback.
I returned to Support as instructed, but received repeated explanations of the 90-day reapplication process instead.
September 12: I was restricted from contacting Creator Support for 30 days.
During that period, @TeamYouTube directed me back to the same email case associated with my restriction, despite my explaining the situation.
October 10–12: My support access returned. I submitted a comprehensive new case with all the evidence, alongside a separate Google grievance.
Both cases showed activity before being closed without a substantive explanation addressing the evidence.
Live Chat Support continues repeating the same responses. A promised supervisor transfer also never materialized.
As of today, I still have access to Creator Support. However, after September’s restriction, I’m genuinely concerned that continuing to seek answers could result in being blocked again.
I’ve spent 126 days following YouTube’s instructions, rebuilding content, and documenting my work.
I’m not asking for another explanation of the reapplication date. I’m asking for an actual reconsideration of the current YPP decision and the evidence I’ve submitted.
@TeamYouTube, please help get this case in front of someone who can meaningfully review it.
Day 110.
One of my main channels has received over 5 million views in the last 90 days, yet I have earned nothing from YPP during this entire situation.
What makes this so difficult is that the restriction on my main channels traces back to a separate channel I wasn’t even actively using and never intended to keep monetized long-term.
I followed YouTube’s recovery instructions, rebuilt the affected channel, submitted the required appeal, and have spent months trying to get the situation properly reviewed.
@TeamYouTube has now directed me back to an email case where I was simultaneously told I cannot contact Creator Support for 30 days.
I’m not asking for special treatment. I’m asking for someone to actually look at the full situation and determine whether this continued YPP restriction still makes sense.
110 days without monetization is an enormous consequence when there still isn’t a clear explanation of what I am supposedly doing wrong.
I really hope this post is seen, I try to post about this often because I really want this to be resolved.
Day 103 of being suspended from the YouTube Partner Program.
I came to Twitter hoping I could finally reach someone at @TeamYouTube who would take a close look at what happened. Instead, I was redirected back to the same Creator Support case where I was ultimately restricted from contacting Partner Support for 30 days.
The entire situation started with a channel I was no longer actively using. It had previously been in YPP, but at the time YouTube flagged it for “duplicate content,” it had zero public videos on it.
I did not initially fight that decision because I had no intention of continuing to use or monetize that channel. I assumed that if YouTube removed an unused channel from YPP, that would simply be the end of it.
What I did not understand was that leaving that suspension unresolved would later cause my primary channels to become suspended as “related channels.”
Once I understood that, I spent months trying to fix the original channel purely so I could restore the channels I actually care about. I rebuilt it with new original content, reapplied, submitted a detailed video appeal showing my production process, and followed the guidance Support gave me.
I still received only generic policy feedback and no clear explanation of what was supposedly wrong with the channel in its current state.
I genuinely do not believe there is a current reason for any of my channels to remain suspended. The channel causing the related-channel restriction is not even one I want to operate long-term. Had I known an unresolved YPP issue on an unused channel could eventually disable monetization across my main channels, I would have handled it completely differently from the beginning.
After 102 days, I am still asking for the same thing: a careful review of the actual current situation and a clear answer about why this remains unresolved.
I don’t know what else I am supposed to do at this point.

So @TeamYouTube, I don't fully know this situation. I'm just gently, constructively noting a friend's experience:
This friend had a 400,000-sub gameplay channel. Related channels under the same account, with no public content, apparently violated duplicate-upload rules. That caused YPP demonetization.
I cannot defend and I cannot advise. I'm just writing to say that my friend has a face, despite faceless gameplay content. A face that bet big on building on YouTube. Those things I know. If anything merits a closer look, it's appreciated.
I really didn’t want this to become a public situation, and I’ve tried for over 90 days to resolve it privately through YouTube Support. But at this point I need @TeamYouTube to take a serious look at what has happened.
The situation started when a channel I was not actively using — and which had no public videos at the time — was flagged for “duplicate content.” That enforcement then affected my other channels through YouTube’s related-channel policy, including the main channels I actually rely on.
For the last three months, I have followed the guidance I was given and worked to resolve the original issue. I rebuilt the affected channel from scratch with new, original content, personally researched, recorded and edited specifically for that channel.
I reapplied to YPP and later submitted a detailed video appeal showing my actual production setup, DaVinci Resolve projects, editing workflow, and examples of the published videos. The appeal was still rejected with only the generic explanation: “Violations of the YouTube monetization policies.”
I have carefully reviewed the current channel against YouTube’s monetization policies, Community Guidelines, Terms of Service and copyright requirements, and I genuinely cannot identify what the current content is supposedly violating.
After more than 90 days of trying to fix this, I am now being told to wait another 90 days.

Day 94.
I’m deeply disappointed that after spending more than three months trying to resolve my YPP situation through the proper support channels, I have now been blocked from contacting Creator Support for 30 days because I contacted them too many times about the unresolved issue.
I understand that support teams need reasonable limits on repeated contacts. But I was not contacting YouTube for fun, harassment, or to argue with employees. I kept reaching out because the underlying problem was never actually resolved.
I rebuilt the affected channel with original content. I followed the guidance I was given. I submitted a detailed video appeal showing my recording setup, editing projects, workflow, and the content itself. The appeal was rejected with only the generic explanation “Violations of the YouTube monetization policies.”
I kept asking for help because I still had no specific explanation for what was supposedly wrong with the channel in its current state.
Now, instead of receiving that clarification or a proper review, I have lost access to Creator Support for the next 30 days.
That is incredibly discouraging after 94 days of trying to solve this responsibly.
I’m not asking @TeamYouTube for special treatment. I’m asking for the current channel and the evidence I submitted to be properly reviewed, and for someone to actually address the substance of the case.
I should not have to choose between giving up on an unresolved problem and risking losing access to Support because I continue asking for help.

Replying to @TeamYouTube @oot0mi
@TeamYouTube @oot0mi I hear a lot about “ghost” demonetization for minor attached channel issues that sound clerical.
In this case, my friend’s large gameplay channel was demonetized for “duplicate” content on attached channels with minuscule views and no scale. This makes me wonder:
1) Is gaming content in particular sensitive to “false flag” or “grey flag” duplication sensitivity?
2) Can a creator’s localization and SEO-positioning efforts with no malicious intent trigger overly-aggressive YPP ejections?
3) Are faceless channels in particular more vulnerable to algorithmic duplicate flagging?
4) Is global support for channels that relocate geographically more prone to logistical YPP outcome snafus?
There could be factors I don’t see—
But this situation is a good specimen to triage those four concerns.
I’m posting another update because my options for resolving this privately seem to be disappearing.
Yesterday I submitted a new Creator Support case in an effort to get my YPP situation reviewed properly. The case is still marked In Progress, and after waiting about 24 hours I went back to Partner Support to ask whether there had been any updates.
Now both the Chat and Email contact options that were previously available to me have disappeared. The only option I’m being shown is Community, which is a volunteer help forum and cannot review or take action on an individual YPP case.
I don’t know whether this is a technical issue or whether my access to Creator Support has been restricted, but the practical result is that I currently have no direct way to follow up with YouTube Support at all.
I have spent more than 90 days trying to resolve this through the proper channels. I followed the guidance I was given, rebuilt the affected channel with original content, submitted a detailed video appeal showing my production process, and continued trying to work through Creator Support.
At this point, unless I can get visibility here and someone at @TeamYouTube is willing to take a closer look, I’m genuinely worried that I’ve reached the end of my ability to resolve this through YouTube’s normal support system.
I don’t want special treatment. I just want a fair review and a way to actually communicate with someone who can look at the case.
