I'm sick of the fluffy editing advice out there.
"Step away and edit with fresh eyes.”
"Read your work out loud."
"Read it on a different screen."
There's nothing wrong with this, but it's SO basic.
What are you meant to look for?
When something feels off, how do you change it?
Where do you even start?!
So I decided to do something about it. And honestly, this is not going to be free for long. I plan to keep adding to it and charging what it's worth.
But today...it's all yours for $0.
The Editing Library is a database of 62 edits broken down by:
-Original content
-The problem with it
-An explanation of the problem and why it needs to change
-My take on how to improve it
-My edited version
I would have killed for this resource when starting my writing and editing career.
All you need to do is answer one question for me about what you struggle the most with regarding editing, then you'll be taken straight to the library!
