Can still do it just harder. Usually have to couple up 2 incomes one buys btc/qqq and just save/get a roommate/side hustle (doesn't have to be company). Wouldn't trade last generations opportunities for this ones. Not in a million years. But the "cost" of that is as an individual grows in power/access/choices, the standard path for the average person HAS to get worse on a relative scale. But to extrapolate this further. I'd rather be dirt poor in 100 years than rich today. Eventually everyone will have access to ai/robotics/peptides/gene therapy/good food etc and status will be determined in other ways (probably easily hackable ones like today)

Every scam or exploitative relationship (and we just avoided an Airbnb scam) is dependent on you feeling powerless in some way. The minute you start feeling that way an alarm should go off. Change something. A million options should fly through your head and you crack a smile. You were never powerless. You just gave your power away to someone or something else.

Short run with @oritheoracle1 around Imperial Palace today. Feels like every week I’ve been meeting up with someone visiting Tokyo. Cool to meet IRL off X. We did a rings workout in Hibiya Park, and then one loop around the Palace. Enjoyable chat and a solid afternoon.

Ori The Oracle gives great sales advice. Applies to any sort of business, even if you're not in sales👍
Prospect Follow Up Tier List A lead comes in, here are the best ways to follow up ranked: S+ Tier Mirror Media S Tier Phone call Voice note (send via text) NO VOICEMAILS Text message A Tier  LinkedIn Connection - Voice Note + Text (Informal) B Tier Email Find them on other social media platforms and use a shared interest (Be CAREFUL with this if your ig is full of thirst traps or something, but it CAN work really well). Mirror Media Explained: If a prospect is communicating via a certain channel: X dms, or phone/text, or email. You maintain that medium as the primary means of communication UNTIL they become a client, and then they're subject to your automations/slack/airtable whatever your stack is. But we've had the most success in the prospect to sale process just mirroring the way they enjoy being sold to. Yes that means you sometimes have to book into their calendar if that's what they prefer and you send your pre-meeting flows manually etc. but it's worth it in our experience.

It's very risk tolerance dependent. If I had to make an argument for buying QQQ over VOO/SPY it's double the returns over a 10 year time frame. But obviously tech stock concentrated, which is higher risk depending on your outlook on the future. If you buy bitcoin (I don't know enough about crypto to speculate on it), it's almost a spiritual practice. You choose your level of involvement and then forget you own it. I can handle (and have the net worth to handle) a higher level of risk than most people. @gregogallagher has a great video on it linked here: youtube.com/watch?v=ZqehdvlQ… So if you're taking a lot of risks in your business, and maybe below a certain liquid net worth where you could live forever in Thailand for example (probably 1 million liquid), you can just stack VOO. Also if you're married it helps. Liz was stock market maxing, and I was buying btc, but we spread our risks out as a couple.

My mom used to work 70 hours a week when we were kids. She would come home and just hug us until we got sick of her and pushed her away. I don't remember this at all, but it was exactly what we needed

When you become successful, your existence becomes triggering to those who came from the same place you did but did not make it Everyone experiences this on some level. I’m talking about financial success but you might experience it whether you end up becoming jacked or building a healthy marriage & family or whatever You can (and should!) lie down as much as you want (homage @BowTiedBull), but success still leaves clues & people will notice you’ve changed Saw the below post and was struck because “placating the aggrieved” to my own detriment was a negative behavior I wasn’t quite conscious of until ~the last year So I asked Ori how I could learn to stop doing it, and he kindly responded with about 10 minutes worth of voice notes Pure gold I listened to them all multiple times then distilled the most important points here:

It's hard for people to just admit to themselves that they have a popular, polarizing personality, and to gracefully give themselves permission to be 100% that bitch. So they are always trying to placate the aggrieved. It's not a strategy issue because they KNOW they should just keep posting. It's just hard for them to let go of their identity as the likable guy and just own it.

I feel like telling people to just buy bitcoin everyday is the same as telling them to workout. They know they should do it, but their psychology defeats them.

So, I had a conversation with @oritheoracle1 and his wife this week regarding the difficulty of watching your loved ones pass In jest, Ori commented: “Have you considered just knowing less people? You know a lot of people” Couldn’t help myself, I just started laughing. Belly laughing, in fact. The first great laugh I’ve had in a while. Because it’s true, lately it feels like someone I love is always sick and dying. Then I thought - is that not bittersweet? To have such an abundance of love that you have the gift of feeling anything at all? A great capacity for love is not something to wish away. Rather, we should pray for greater strength with which to carry it. The comment reminded me of this massive old beautifully illustrated book of Winnie the Pooh’s adventures I have and these famous words: “How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.” __ And side note - you should all follow Ori. About half of the entirety of the best advice I’ve gotten this year has been completely off the cuff from him. Guy doesn’t recognize his own genius.

stacked calendar, one after another today “there’s nowhere else i’d rather be. no one else i’d rather be talking to right now” thx @oritheoracle1 that being said, sales is still incredibly easy compared to what I used to bolting shit up + swinging a sledge 300ft in the air
