In the 1980s, he chose to expose the dirty dealings of his UPA brothers to the NRA. in 2026, he has chosen to expose a brother’s whereabouts. Indeed, history repeats itself!💔😔

There is a big difference between combating corruption and frustrating the efforts of poor parents who are sacrificing everything to secure a better future for their children.
Parents to Balaam, you allocate UGX 7,000 per learner for an entire term, then you arrest head teachers who ask parents to make additional contributions to support their children’s education. Can a school operate without adequate funding?Do your children study on a budget of 7,000/?

A doctor who can not cannulate, nor do a simple phlebotomy. Titles are earned if they badly want the title MBcHb is still there then they put a masters in pharmacy simple...🤣 I dont see lab technologist in these title things yet they deserve it
Pharmacy has failed to evolve adequately in Uganda. People keep wondering what pharmacists do in hospitals, given how little visibility they seem to have in patient management. It's now even more concerning when you are a "Doctor" who cannot diagnose a simple sore throat. Perhaps it would be more appropriate to introduce yourself to a patient as a "doctor who makes drugs" or, better still, the Dr. who helps identify the most effective medicines in an era increasingly challenged by antimicrobial resistance and drug resistance! @PharmacistsUg, the title Dr. only looks impressive when you don't have it. We expect a lot more from our dear pharmacists. We need to see greater clinical involvement and meaningful contributions to patient care.

No, please! Pharmacists hold the title of "Doctor". On 20th October 2017, the @PharmacistsUg General Assembly resolved that registered pharmacists should use the title "Dr". nitter.gq/PharmacistsUg/st… This was implemented in 2018 and was published in Uganda Gazette (Vol CXI No. 25, 1st June 2018, General Notice No. 413 of 2018). archive.gazttes.africa/archi… watchdoguganda.com/news/2018… Any kind of discrimination against pharmicists as non MBChB health professionals is a violation of our Constitution as was held in Buhio Medical Coders Association Vs Attorney General (EOC/CR 128 of 2023). See the case via ulii.org/en/akn/ug/judgment/… So, @ron4speed make good research before you allege that a pharmacist is not a doctor.

🚨 UPDATE: If it is true that President @KagutaMuseveni introduced @mkainerugaba to CEC as his choice for his successor, there will come a time all Ugandans will have a say. He says that as a member of @NRMOnline NEC, Elders' League and MP, he will have his say. He adds that as of now, that is the President's wish, but it doesn't mean that his wish must always prevail. He notes that he is disappointed by fellow MPs who fear to speak out and always come to him to say that they wish there were more brave people like him who speak their mind, wondering whether speaking one's mind takes courage even with Parliamentary immunity! Our leaders have completely lost their confidence and sense of self-worth. When they are given a chance to speak up, engage meaningfully, and provide real guidance or direction, they stay silent or simply say “yes” as a formality. Opportunities like these may never come again, and once they allow certain things to happen, the consequences may be impossible to reverse. Thank you @OfwonoOpondo
.@OfwonoOpondo: The President together with NRM, brought us democracy. It is us who’re failing ourselves. The President can have his wish, but must his wish prevail? You Ugandans, wake up! If he has brought the discussion on succession & transition, let us engage. #TheCapitalGang

The challenge that Lt. Gen. Elwelu is facing now is that he's fighting real corruption while the other side pretends somehow. It's risky to be so real with fighting corruption in Uganda. let's pray for Gen. Elwelu, they need to let him retire in peace ✌️

PRESS RELEASE CLARIFICATION: WITHDRAW OF RECOGNITION OF THE BACHELOR OF PHARMACY (BPHARM) PROGRAM AT MBARARA UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (MUST) 1. We make reference to a Public Notice from the Pharmaceutical Society of Uganda, claiming withdrawal of the recognition of the Bachelor of Pharmacy Program at Mbarara University of Science and Technology. 2. The National Council for Higher Education is mandated under Section 4d (ii) of the Universities and Other Tertiary Institutions Act Cap. 262, to ‘receive, consider and process applications for accreditation of academic and professional programmes of higher education institutions, in consultation with professional associations and regulatory bodies.’ 3. The National Council for Higher Education is further mandated under Section 4(f) of the Act to “receive and investigate complaints relating to institutions of higher education and take appropriate action.” 4. The mandate of recognition of academic qualifications rests with the National Council for Higher Education, as mandated under Section 4(i) of the Act. Given the above statutory provisions, National Council for Higher Education would like to clarify as follows: 1. The Bachelor of Pharmacy programme at Mbarara University of Science and Technology was first accredited by the National Council for Higher Education in 2010. Since then, the programme has received multiple re-accreditations. The most recent re-accreditation was granted on 30th January 2025, for the programme to run up to 2036. All the re-accreditations have been granted in consultation with the Pharmaceutical Society of Uganda, as required under Section 4d (ii) of the Act. 2. The National Council for Higher Education was neither involved nor consulted in the Pharmaceutical Society of Uganda’s unilateral decision to withdraw its recognition of the Bachelor of Pharmacy programme at Mbarara University of Science and Technology. 3. Withdrawalof recognition of qualifications of graduates of a given programme or academic institution is the preserve of the National Council for Higher Education. 4. Mbarara University had an Associate Professor of Pharmacy heading the Department of Pharmacy until July 2026 when he resigned to join another academic institution on promotion to full Professor. The University temporarily engaged a Senior Lecturer, with a nursing background but holding a PhD in Pharmacology from Ghent University in Belgium, to head the Department. The current Acting Head of Department of the Pharmacy Department is a Pharmacist who also serves as the President of the Pharmaceutical Society of Uganda. 5. National Council for Higher Education categorically states that: a) The Bachelor of Pharmacy programme at Mbarara University of Science and Technology is fully accredited. b) The accreditation has not been withdrawn by the National Council for Higher Education. c) The teaching and learning of the Bachelor of Pharmacy programme at Mbarara University of Science and Technology should continue. 6. The National Council for Higher Education remains open to receiving and investigating complaints related to higher education institutions in Uganda. unche.or.ug/clarification-wi…

Thank you our dear PS @DianaAtwine for the clarification . Also, a patient on a hospital bed deserves dignity, not an audience. A theatre is for surgery, not political performance. Wards and theatres are places of healing. Patient privacy is a right. Moving forward, let’s keep the politics in the health facility offices and board rooms not wards. Old number plates cost Ugandans 125–150k. New “digital” ones? 700+k. Parliament has confirmed the plate itself can’t be tracked, yet Ugandans are paying over 4× more. Thieves continue plucking these “digital” plates without a trace. So, where is the value for money, and why should an ordinary Ugandan pay this much for what is essentially a cosmetic change? #DigitalNumberPlates #Uganda
Former Works and Transport Minister Gen (Rtd) Katumba Wamala told MPs his ministry did not have a feasibility study on the digital number plates. He said the name came from a presidential requirement for a tampering alert: “And that was how it came to be called digital number plates, that it would be able to trigger a signal.”

As an ophthalmologist working in Karamoja, I have seen how a simple cataract surgery can restore not only sight, but also independence, dignity, and opportunity. Yet many people remain unnecessarily blind because they are unaware that treatment is available. This video shares my vision for a youth-led approach to increasing awareness and access to cataract services in underserved communities. Together, we can ensure that avoidable blindness nolonger limits people’s ability to learn, work, and participate fully in society. #EyeHealth #CataractSurgery #PreventBlindness #Karamoja #SDG3 #SDG10 #GlobalHealth #YouthLeadership
