हेमाडपंथी शिवमंदिराचा ऐतिहासिक वारसा आणि कार नदीमुळे लाभलेले निसर्गसौंदर्य अशा वैशिष्ट्यांनी समृद्ध असलेल्या नागपूर जिल्ह्यातील लोहारी सावंगा या गावी आज शेतकरी बांधवांसमवेत दिवाळी साजरी करण्याचे सौभाग्य प्राप्त झाले. दुष्काळाचा सामना करणाऱ्या बळीराजाचे दुःख, त्याच्या व्यथा आणि कुटुंबाच्या भविष्याची चिंता जाणून घेताना मन भरून आले. आज मी येथील शेतकरी अरुणाबाई बालपांडे आणि रामभाऊ बालपांडे यांच्या घरी मुक्कामी आहे. बालपांडे कुटुंबाने अत्यंत आपुलकीने केलेल्या स्वागताने मन अक्षरशः भारावून गेले आहे. त्यांच्या प्रेमात, जिव्हाळ्यात आणि आपलेपणात एक विलक्षण भावनिक ओलावा आहे.
देशभरात दिवाळीचा उत्साह असताना राज्यातील शेतकरी मात्र चिंतेत आहे. निसर्गाच्या अवकृपेमुळे करपलेली पिके, निर्माण झालेली आर्थिक विवंचना, मुलांच्या शिक्षणाची चिंता त्यांच्या मनात आहे. लोहारी सावंगा येथील शेतकऱ्यांशी या विषयांवर संवाद साधला, त्यांच्या अडचणी जाणून घेतल्या, तेव्हा त्यांच्या चेहऱ्यावरचा ताण हळूहळू निवळताना अनुभवला. "साहेब, तुम्ही थेट आमच्या गावात आलात, आमच्या सुख-दुःखात सहभागी झालात, यातच आमचे अर्धे दुःख हलके झाले," हे त्यांचे शब्द मनाला स्पर्शून गेले.
माझ्यासाठी महाराष्ट्रातील प्रत्येक शेतकऱ्याचे पीक म्हणजे केवळ उत्पादन नाही, तर ते त्याच्या संपूर्ण कुटुंबाने वर्षभर केलेल्या कष्टांचे, त्यागाचे आणि स्वप्नांचे प्रतीक आहे. प्रत्येक पिकामागे कुटुंबाच्या भविष्याची आशा असते आणि प्रत्येक हंगामामागे समृद्धीचे स्वप्न असते. निसर्गाच्या अनिश्चिततेमुळे जेव्हा पीक उद्ध्वस्त होते तेव्हा शेतकऱ्यांच्या भविष्यावरही संकट येते. आज हे दुःख जवळून अनुभवले. म्हणूनच, केवळ मंत्रालयातील बैठका, निर्णय, योजना किंवा आर्थिक सहाय्यापुरते मर्यादित न राहता, बळीराजाच्या शेजारी बसून त्याच्या अडचणी जाणून घेणे, त्याचे अश्रू पुसणे आणि त्याला पुन्हा उभारी देण्यासाठी आधाराचा हात देणे, हा माझा प्रामाणिक प्रयत्न आहे.
रब्बी पिकांचे नुकसान टाळण्यासाठी कोणत्या उपाययोजना करता येतील, याबाबत शेतकऱ्यांशी चर्चा केली. दुष्काळी परिस्थितीच्या पार्श्वभूमीवर शक्य असेल त्या ठिकाणी विंधन विहिरी घेण्यास परवानगी देण्यात येईल. काटोल आणि नरखेड परिसरात संत्र्यासह मोसंबीचे मोठ्या प्रमाणावर उत्पादन घेतले जाते. मात्र, निर्यातीसमोरील नव्या आंतरराष्ट्रीय आव्हानांमुळे शेतकऱ्यांना नुकसान सहन करावे लागत आहे. या पार्श्वभूमीवर नागपूरमधील मिहान प्रकल्पाच्या माध्यमातून संत्री आणि मोसंबीवर प्रक्रिया करण्यासाठी मोठा प्रकल्प उभारण्याचे नियोजन आहे. शेतकरी अडचणीत येऊ नये यासाठी आवश्यक ती खबरदारी घेतली जाईल.
यावेळी मंत्री चंद्रशेखर बावनकुळे, आमदार डॉ. आशिष देशमुख व इतर मान्यवर उपस्थित होते.

Valmiki never wrote "harem pet" or "furniture cover." Just as he never said Sita calls Rama a “misogynist pig.”
Here's what the text says.
On the living deer, Aranya Kanda 3.43.16:
अन्तःपुरविभूषार्थो मृग एष भविष्यति
antaḥpura-vibhūṣārtho mṛga eṣa bhaviṣyati
"This deer will be an ornament of the inner palace." Not “harem.” Sita is talking about after the exile, when they're back in Ayodhya. The word is vibhūṣā, ornament. It's a marvel to bring home to Bharata and the queen mothers. It isn't a "pet," and it isn't a harem plaything. We also know that Rama never took another wife, let alone kept a harem.
On the slain deer, 3.43.19:
शष्पबृस्यां विनीतायामिच्छाम्यहमुपासितुम्
śaṣpa-bṛsyāṃ vinītāyām icchāmy aham upāsitum
"I wish to sit on its golden skin, spread over a seat of tender grass." A bṛsī is an ascetic's grass seat. She's a forest-dweller in exile, picturing herself sitting beside Rama. That isn't upholstery or a "furniture cover." Rama even pictures the same scene himself a few verses later (3.43.34).
So "harem pet" and "furniture cover" aren't translations. Each one picks the most lurid or trivial reading available so that Sita comes off as decadent and vain. The text doesn't support either.
We've seen this before. In 2018 Truschke "loosely translated" Sita at the agnipariksha as calling Rama a "misogynist pig." Robert Goldman, the translator she cited, disowned it.
She starts from a Sanskrit word, takes the most loaded English you can find, and presents it as scholarship. That's academic malpractice.
And it’s a pattern.

अश्विन कृष्ण द्वादशी अर्थात गुरुद्वादशी हा दत्तसंप्रदायातील अत्यंत पवित्र दिवस मानला जातो. या दिवशी गुरुचरणांचे पूजन करून गुरु-शिष्य परंपरेप्रती कृतज्ञता व्यक्त केली जाते. गुरूंच्या मार्गदर्शनाने अज्ञान दूर करून आध्यात्मिक प्रगती साधावी हा या दिवसाचा मुख्य संदेश आहे. श्रीपाद श्रीवल्लभ हे श्रीदत्तात्रेयांचे प्रथम अवतार मानले जातात. त्यांचा जन्म आंध्र प्रदेशातील पीठापूरम येथे आप्पलराज शर्मा आणि सुमतीदेवी यांच्या पोटी गणेश चतुर्थीला झाला. पितृश्राद्धाच्या वेळी आलेल्या अतिथीला सुमतीदेवींनी भोजन दिल्याने प्रसन्न होऊन श्रीदत्तात्रेयांनी त्यांना पुत्रप्राप्तीचा आशीर्वाद दिला होता. बालपणापासूनच श्रीपाद विलक्षण बुद्धिमान व आध्यात्मिक प्रवृत्तीचे होते. त्यांनी अल्पवयात वेदशास्त्रांचे ज्ञान प्राप्त केले आणि आपल्या दिव्य कृपेने भावंडांना सक्षम केले.
वयाच्या सोळाव्या वर्षी त्यांनी गृहस्थाश्रम स्वीकारण्यास नकार देऊन संन्यासमार्गाचा स्वीकार केला. माता-पित्यांना आशीर्वाद देऊन ते तीर्थयात्रेसाठी निघाले. त्यांनी अनेक ठिकाणी भ्रमण करून भक्तांना मार्गदर्शन केले. त्यांनी पीठापूरम येथे सोळा वर्षे वास्तव्य केले आणि पुढे कुरवपूर येथे साधना व अवतारकार्य केले. श्रीपाद श्रीवल्लभांनी भक्तांना भक्ती, ज्ञान, वैराग्य आणि सदाचाराचा मार्ग दाखवला. अतिथिसेवा, अन्नदान, मातापित्यांचा आदर, गुरुभक्ती, दीनदुबळ्यांना मदत आणि अहंकाराचा त्याग यांना त्यांनी महत्त्व दिले. भक्तांच्या दुःखांचे निवारण, संकटातून मुक्तता आणि भक्तांना आध्यात्मिक मार्गदर्शन अशा अनेक लीला श्रीगुरुचरित्रात वर्णिल्या आहेत. श्रीपाद श्रीवल्लभांनी कुरवपूर येथे आपले अवतारकार्य पूर्ण केले. अश्विन कृष्ण द्वादशी मृग नक्षत्राच्या दिवशी त्यांनी कृष्णा नदीच्या प्रवाहात निजानंद गमन केले. श्रीगुरुचरित्राच्या नवव्या अध्यायात या प्रसंगाचे वर्णन येते. ते लौकिकदृष्ट्या अदृश्य झाले असले तरी कुरवपूर येथे त्यांचे वास्तव्य कायम आहे अशी श्रद्धा आहे. पीठापूरम, कुरवपूर, गाणगापूर आणि इतर दत्तक्षेत्रांमध्ये या दिवशी विशेष पूजाअर्चा केली जाते.
गुरुद्वादशीचे महत्त्व पुढे दत्तसंप्रदायातील संतपरंपरेतही जपले गेले. प. पू. वासुदेवानंद सरस्वती टेंबेस्वामी महाराज यांनी नरसोबावाडी येथे मुक्काम असताना प. पू. योगीराज गुळवणी महाराजांना गुरुद्वादशीच्या दिवशी चांदीच्या पेटीत ठेवलेले यंत्र-संरक्षक कवच बांधून दिले. या गुरुकृपेची आठवण कायम राहावी म्हणून गुळवणी महाराजांनी प्रत्येक गुरुद्वादशीला नरसोबावाडी येथे येण्याचा संकल्प केला. त्यांनी हा संकल्प अखंड पाळला. या दिवशी माता-भगिनी प्रथम देवाला ओवाळतात आणि त्यानंतर गुळवणी महाराजांचे औक्षण करतात. महाराज प्रत्येक सुवासिनीला एक रुपया ओवाळणी देत असत. एका गुरुद्वादशीला सुमारे पाचशे सुवासिनींनी त्यांचे औक्षण केले आणि त्यासाठी पाचशे रुपये ओवाळणी दिली. गुरुद्वादशी हा दिवस गुरु-शिष्य परंपरेचे महत्त्व अधोरेखित करतो. गुरूंचे पूजन करणे म्हणजे केवळ विधी करणे नव्हे तर त्यांच्या शिकवणीचे आचरण करणे होय. सदाचार, सेवाभाव, अन्नदान, दया, नम्रता, मातापित्यांचा आदर आणि ईश्वरस्मरण या मूल्यांचा स्वीकार करणे हाच गुरुभक्तीचा खरा अर्थ आहे.

Defence Officials gave detailed answered related to Agnipath Scheme.
Q1. Are all Agniveers going to be absorbed after six years?
Ans: Yes, all Agniveers will now be absorbed in the regular cadre. The first 25% will be absorbed after the first engagement period of four years, and all of the balance 75% will be absorbed (without any limit) after the second engagement period. The key criteria are that the Agniveer must be willing, physically fit and disciplined.
Q2. What happens to the seniority of the 75% Agniveers who are not permanently absorbed after four years?
Ans: Their seniority is protected. On becoming regulars, they will be placed immediately after their own batchmates who joined the regular cadre after four years. They will therefore not become junior to any subsequent batch.
Q3. Has the scheme been rolled back?
Ans: The scheme has not been rolled back. Only another engagement period of two years has been introduced, which creates a pathway for all Agniveers to be absorbed as regular soldiers after this engagement period.

You can't name a folder "con" on a Windows computer. Go try it right now, Windows will flat out refuse and tell you the device name is invalid.
That's because your PC still has that word reserved for a keyboard and screen from 1981. And it's the same reason your main drive is called C: instead of A:.
So here's how it happened. A: and B: were the floppy drives, and plenty of early IBM PCs only had one of them. DOS assumed you had two anyway. If you asked a one-drive machine for B:, it would pretend the same slot was a second drive and stop to tell you "Insert diskette for drive B: and strike any key when ready." If you were around back then, you probably remember swapping the same two disks in and out for an hour just to copy a few files.
Then IBM put a 10MB hard drive inside the PC XT in March 1983. A and B were already spoken for, so the hard drive got the next letter in line. Every installer for the next 40 years hardcoded C:\ into its file paths, and after that the letter was never moving.
That same update, DOS 2.0, is why Windows uses backslashes. IBM's tools were already using the regular slash for command options, so folders got \ instead. It's the whole reason websites use / and your Windows folders use \.
The "con" thing goes back even further. DOS 1.0 didn't have folders at all, so you talked to hardware like it was a file. CON was the console, PRN was the printer, AUX was the serial port, and NUL was a black hole that ate whatever you sent it. Microsoft's own Raymond Chen traces the rule straight back to DOS 1.0, and Windows still enforces it so programs written 45 years ago don't break.
Almost all of this traces back to one guy in Monterey, California.
Gary Kildall started writing CP/M in 1974 while he was teaching at the Naval Postgraduate School, and it became the first popular operating system for small computers. He's the one who labeled drives with a letter and a colon, and he let programs talk to devices like they were files, habits he'd picked up from the big mainframes and minicomputers he'd worked on. In 1980, IBM came looking for an operating system for its new PC, and the talks with Kildall's company fell apart. So Microsoft went to Seattle Computer Products, where a programmer named Tim Paterson had spent four months writing a CP/M lookalike he called QDOS, short for Quick and Dirty Operating System. Microsoft paid $75,000 total for it, the last $50,000 just 16 days before the IBM PC launched. Kildall's letters came along for the ride.
He sold his company to Novell in 1991 and died three years later at 52. Every time somebody clicks on C: in File Explorer, they're using the letter he picked for a third disk drive back in the '70s. That's 1.6 billion Windows machines, and almost nobody using them has ever heard his name.
