Those people who burnt your house were not Boko Haram, they were Fulani militias
Not every militia group is Boko Haram
Most of the groups attacking the Middle Belt are of Fulani origin, Boko Haram consists of mostly Kanuris
I lived in Plateau during this period and witnessed this first hand and can attest to the truth in this
Militias mostly of Fulani origin came into the city on September 7, 2001 and went house to house burning and pillaging.
What initially begun as disagreements over political appointment, saw an influx of Fulani fighters into streets of Jos North
I saw these militias with my eyes as they wore partial military regalia
Some would wear the military trouser and just an ordinary shirt, while others would wear the military top but just a normal trouser
That was my first time seeing non state actors on the rampage
They targeted native houses in Jos North which had a considerable settler population in a bid to drive the natives out of the local government
Lots of University of Jos staff who used to live in a predominant settlement of Angwan Rogo (along Bauchi Road) were murdered while a few others were lucky to have fled
Those people went on a rampage for almost 2weeks without adequate security intervention. Dead bodies littered the streets.
A state of emergency was declared in Plateau for 6 months while the Governor was sacked replaced with a military administrator (Chris Ali) by the Obasanjo administration.
The Obasanjo government also desolved the Plateau state legislature at the time due to those events
It was an unforgettable experience because September 11 happened a few days after which is a historic event
Why we knew it was tactical to displace the natives was that, there were no attacks on governmental residential areas that housed Southerners and other natives
The target was displacement of natives who owned private houses and lands
It was so bad that what initially begun in Jos North soon spread to other local governments where there were settlers
The worst happened in Wase, Shendam and Lantang
I have posted numerous times about the proliferation of arms in the lower plateau during the period by these Fulani militias
What was initially ethnic between the natives of Plateau and the Hausa and Fulani settlers turned religious as these settlers demanded that the native Muslims choose a side and used religion to blackmail native Muslims (by asking them to prove that their new faith is more important than their old tribal loyalties)
Who is a Northern Christian? She’s a Middle Belter
For saying that she’s a Northern Christian, e no go better for Atiku’s nyash
If I ever vote Fulani, I go cut that hand of mine! Imagine killing us and expecting us to vote u
Waka ✋🏾

Thank you for this Patrick. It is amusing that emergency lovers of Nigeria think people just sprung out of absolute nothingness into the 2023 elections like most of them did. Like I always say, these people are in a world of their own. 😂😂😂😂
Let me address this misinformation.
First of all, you said nobody knew Ndi Kato prior to joining the Obidient Movement. That is false.
She was already sharing stages with Peter Obi as early as 2018 at the Kukah Centre.
In 2017, she was Publicity Secretary to the Middle Belt Forum nationally.
She was speaking at PDPs national retreat in 2021. And if I remember, Peter Obi moved to the Labour Party in May 2022.
In that retreat, she spoke alongside Atiku, Tambuwal and Seyi Makinde
I have evidence of her in gatherings as far back as 2016 with the President of Ghana
Mind you, she was debating Nasir Elrufai who was the Governor of Kaduna State at the time on Aljazeera as a panelist in 2017!
You can disagree with her without trying to rubbish her person
Now regarding Zariyi Yusuf, while you are partially right that he was not as known, he put this blood sweat and tears on the line for the movement
I know how many times his cars engine knocked while on obidient business
Many of the people insulting @ZariyiYusufu were in their beds, sleeping peacefully after the 2023 elections
He was the one who led the march outside for LP in the FCT.
Infact two Middle Belt persons Dr Mo and Zariyi Yusuf.
Today he’s being denigrated inhumanely.
Most of those using burner accounts to insult him have not been cautioned by you. You have allowed the abuse he suffered
You are only reacting to his “reaction to that abuse” which is the most evil form of gaslighting
Many of you could not even come outside to fight for what u believed in after the 2023 elections
Today you stay on your phones in your houses making videos and insulting the person who did that.
Sometimes, when someone works hard for you and you part ways with them, appreciate them for the time they served with you and move on.
You don’t have to agree with their choices. You can disagree and give your reasons and move on. What do insults online achieve?
Now before you revise history on what happened.
At that time,we began seeing photos of Peter Obi and Nasir Elrufai while he was in LP.
And Middle Belt people on X began expressing concerns about it. Rather than address it, many of your influencers began smear campaigns
“Dem gon pay them”
“ Na gig”
It was all so coordinated that almost everyone was singing it simultaneously.
Your reaction to address concerns is to smear them and tarnish our image.
That’s how you fight for a new country
Ndi Kato has never said she supported APC.
She has for the longest time said she would remain neutral, yet has been hounded with insults
You look for posts where she is responding to your people insulting her where she said they will lose and posted
Why not post the dehumanizing post she was responding to for full context?
I have never understood this strategy of daring people to join APC or assigning APC in everyone
How does that help you win at the polls?
You said “Middle Belt influencers” when to my knowledge, only one person joined the APC
Aren’t you generalizing?
If you leave her be and focus on your campaigns, she will let you be too
This idea that insults will make her maintain decorum doesn’t work
You pummel someone with insults and except the person to take the higher ground
It doesn’t work that way
Now thereason why many Middle Belt people took a step back was because it proved that the Obidient movement was a sectional movement the moment it saw the huge disgust the Middle Belt had for Elrufai but put its interests above that
It meant we didn’t mean much. It also showed contradictions with ideology.
I had thought the aim was eliminating structure of criminality but the move showed a willingness to embrace that structure in the ADC
I will say this, you don’t beat someone and dictate how they cry. Everyone cries as they see fit
In the end, elections are 3 months away. Make videos selling your candidate and let Middle Belt people be.

There's no good news in this.
- The boy was sacrificed.
- The Media Virality made them sacrifice him.
- His Crime is making the video go online,& his ill fate is that the Video didn't stay under the radar.
- The Ideology is not new or unusual and JIBWIS approved.

So ,now that Ansaru has claimed responsibility for Yahaya Masussuka's assassination, guess it's safe to label everyone celebrating his death as a boko haram terrorist since they share the same ideologies and grievances with the group.

This was a tweet about the ideological battle between Massussuka versus Izala sect members in the core North.
1 year later he has been assassinated.
He has been silenced by the radicals and fundamentalists.
This is why Boko haram cannot be defeated in the north.
This is why the north cannot be reformed.

At least 7 Christians were killed, Monday night in south Jos, Nigeria, hours after video emerged online showing a Muslim youth parade chanting “give me AK47 to go into the infidels in Enugu, Jos, and rain fire on them while they worship”
U have been spreading misinformation all along
Now that u have been corrected, go and correct all the videos where u lied that the video was doctored.
Admit to your audience that it is indeed a real video and u lied
U are a tèrrořist for trying to cover up for these people

May Allah save us. I trust you. This is never the teachings of Islam. To study Islam, one has to read our established texts.
You people don’t even rate us
Truth has been revealed. This is the original video that was edited.
We're in difficult times in this nation, why would someone just edit the sound behind a video and put something just to set the country on fire?
Security operatives need to do better, just recently someone make a video saying a girl was killed after living Islam while in reality, she was being medically treated locally or traditionally. This is things against Islam need to stop.
Who ever is the enemy of Nigeria would not succeed

When they finally mature into blood spilling extremists, somebody would want us to believe it is economic hardship and unemployment that resulted in it.
⚠️Translation:
🎵Give me AK (AK47)
I’ll go to Enugu
Amongst the infidels
On a Sunday
While they rejoice and clap
I’ll light them up!

Much as it’s tempting hope for a simple order for their arrest, it’s instructive to know that this “Federal” structure of governance in Nigeria actually accommodates them by the mistake of acknowledging another constitution parallel to the already flawed Nigerian constitution - Shari’a Law.
It is on that basis that extremism thrives in Nigeria - from lynching in the name of “blasphemy”, to the full-scale Islamist militia attacks. In fact, it is the ground on which extremist sympathizers hope to manipulate the rest of the country into dismissing radical Islamism as being motivated by “economic hardship”, hence the need to listen to them and meet their demands.
Nigeria’s existential threat is not the “economy” as such.
IT IS ISLAMISM.
Regional Restructuring tails this evil out from its roots and it dies everywhere else except the region that chooses to embrace it as a system, which will very well fall within their right.

Loads of bunkum! Those are two different videos, and the original was genuine.
What always amuses me is how the so-called Northern moderates fall over themselves to explain away extremists’ actions. We’ve seen it with Boko Haram, Pantami, and others.
Are you actually opposed to extremism, or do you quietly hope the extremists will one day deliver a vision you share?
