In case you missed it The UK used to grow 2% every year Since Brexit it's been 0.1% every year Boris Johnson called Brexit 'the sunlit uplands' Nigel Farage in 2016 said, 'economicaly, we'd be better off than where we are today' Time to rejoin the EU
Victoria Derbyshire, "What did we learn about our living standards?" Ben Chu, "1% growth over 10 years" "We used to grow 2% every year" That's one way of illustrating the enormous economic price Britain has paid for Brexit #RejoinEU The OBR estimates that Brexit will leave the UK economy around 4% smaller in the long run than it would otherwise have been, with both imports and exports taking a substantial hit. We were promised greater prosperity, more opportunities and a stronger economy outside the EU. Instead, we've added significant trade barriers with our largest trading partner during a period of extraordinary economic stagnation. Brexit isn't responsible for every economic problem Britain faces, but it has made the challenge of improving living standards considerably harder. And ordinary households are living with the consequences of that decision.

Hilarious because Farage is identical to Trump, and Putin grabbed Trump by Americas pussy, he will do the same thing with Farage.

An immigrant doesn't just join the workforce. They rent a home, buy groceries, use local services, eat in restaurants and spend money in shops. That spending supports jobs too. Count newcomers as workers but not customers and you're counting only half the economy.

So while Trump and Musk are selling out Ukraine, how would Americans feel if Russia occupied an area of their own country roughly equivalent to the entire state of Pennsylvania or Ohio, or even of Virginia plus a little extra land? & for Brits, how would it feel to lose England?

Sergey Nalobin, a Russian ‘diplomat’ who launched the ‘Conservative Friends of Russia’ group has now been identified as a Russian intelligence officer involved in an attempted European disinformation campaign. Nalobin called Boris Johnson a good friend and was quick to congratulate Vote Leave Chief Matthew Elliott on his engagement. Elliott was a founder member of the Conservative Friends of Russia, and in 2012 went on a 10-day trip to Moscow with all expenses paid by the Russian government. The British authorities repeatedly refused to investigate Russian interference in the Brexit campaign and the UK’s broader politics. However, Nalobin was looking for a way to channel money into the Conservative Party in the early 2010s, and the Tories received many donations from Russian oligarchs resident in the UK. The article provides details of how Nalobin orchestrated Russian interference in Estonian politics, so it is very likely that he was playing the same role in the UK. Putin wanted Brexit. The Tories delivered it, and unfortunately every British government since then has covered up the extent and nature of Russian interference in British politics. Please repost if you demand that the government ends the conspiracy of silence and launches a full-scale investigation of Russian interference in British politics starting with the Conservative Friends of Russia and Farage's appearances on Russia Today. bylinetimes.com/2026/10/26/t…

Obama tonight on his Cheesecake Factory line: "They mobilized a whole of government response to that joke. Not to inflation, but to that joke. The White House even called the Secretary of the Treasury. This is the man who is in charge of the economy. The person who's supposed to be figuring out how to make your life more affordable. The guy who's supposed to be figuring out how to lower inflation. And reduce interest rates. They told him he should hold a press conference in front of the Cheesecake Factory."

#bbcbreakfast Brexit has not been “reopened because of Andy Burnham”, but because: - it’s turned out to be a costly mistake - geopolitics shows we can’t rely on the US, but need to work with our neighbours with whom we share common interests - the public has turned against it

A 2026 study found that 54 of Britain's 100 fastest-growing companies had at least one foreign-born founder. Many were founded jointly by British-born and migrant entrepreneurs. That's not foreigners versus British people. That's people building businesses together.

Dr Abdul El-Sayed, "We actively being bullied by the dumbest people in the room. Donald Trump Is an idiot. A nepo baby. Just a fool." El-Sayed, a medical doctor, is also the Democratic Senate candidate in Michigan. El-Sayed is arguing that this isn’t just about Trump’s character, but how power is being used. There’s a reason the bullying charge resonates: Trump has repeatedly called for action against people he considers enemies, and his administration has used federal power against critics and opponents. When the president turns public institutions into tools for personal retaliation, it’s more than bluster. I’m grateful El-Sayed is willing to speak plainly about what this looks like: a president attacking people he sees as opponents and using the power of his office against critics. The midterms give Americans a chance to judge this record for themselves: are they comfortable with this kind of leadership, or do they want a Congress that will push back and take the country in a different direction?

Badenoch has forgotten that Thatcher sold off the family silver, Cameron ruined public services with austerity, Johnson ruined the economy for a generation with his Brexit deal. Then he pissed £billions up the wall with dodgy Covid loans and PPE contracts. Then we had Mad Lizzy!
