Ford inherited a province from the Liberals with 1,300 hospital patients being treated in hallways. He promised to end hallway healthcare. 🚨 8 years later, he set a new record: 2,088 patients in hallways. Ford's motto is "Get it done." #onthealth #onpoli
NEW: We obtained internal government data showing Ontario’s hallway health care numbers hit unprecedented highs in the last two years, with over 2,000 patients treated in hallways on an average day last winter 🧵 thetrillium.ca/news/health/o…

For those who don’t know: More than 10,000 people have been left with disabilities by Israel’s genocide—the largest in modern history! Do not forget them.

An interesting thing is going, here. In the cat world, being the one that grooms the other one means they're the boss. In the bunny world it's the other way round: the one being groomed is the boss. So these two are both thinking they're the boss.

Dear supporters: Following several weeks of closed borders crossings and the return of famine, some trucks of commercial goods have been allowed to enter Gaza. Abboud and I set off early to the market to see what was on offer and to negotiate prices. We have managed to buy and distribute 30 trays of eggs to the residents of our neighbouring camp who are at particular risk and struggling with malnutrition. I cannot understate the importance of egg consumption to bolster the immune system! Eggs are highly nutritious sources of high-quality protein, vitamins A, D, and B12, minerals like iron and calcium, and antioxidants such as lutein and zeaxanthin. They are also a significant source of choline, which is important for brain health. Our people are being starved of these essential nutrients, so it has given us the greatest joy to have been able to provide this live-sustaining food today. Each tray of 30 eggs costs 35 shekels bringing the total cost of today’s initiative to 1,050 shekels or $315. Dear friends: we rely entirely on your donations to do our work and I urge you to acknowledge the crucial role that you play in preserving our lives. As always, I am optimistic that you will continue to support our life-saving work and urge you donate whatever you can afford now to cover the cost of this initiative and to advocate and fundraise to preserve life in Gaza. Stand by us please! gofund.me/795a026d

I'm not sure most Canadians realize what's happening right now with Indigenous folks and the Carney government. Today, voice after voice from Indigenous leadership, youth, from across the country, has been telling us they're gearing up for a fight for their rights. This is big!

How much longer must we endure this fear and terror? 💔😭 In Gaza, the fear never ends, and death follows us every moment. 💔😭 We are exhausted by this life and by the question that haunts us every night: Will we survive? Will we live to see tomorrow?💔 Our lives hang by a thread. A stray bullet or a single shell could end everything in an instant. If we die, please don’t forget our story or our faces. Remember that we were here, dreaming of nothing more than the chance to live. 💔

Incredible!!! The Amazon is still hiding so many amazing animals we know not much about! 🌳🐕
Least known canine species on earth. A ghost in the forest: Atelocynus microtus , the short eared dog. A blur if you happen to witness them in the flesh. Only a privileged few can claim glimpses with certainty. Amazon River and Rainforest of Peru

Let me be clear: BC did not veer sharply right in this election. Doerkson carefully campaigned as a moderate, which was crucial to his success. Even so, the BC Conservatives still lost votes in absolute terms compared with 2024! NDPers stayed home in droves—that's the story.

SCOOP: Nadia Beller, the Bolivian whistleblower who survived an assassination attempt ordered by Trump associate and political operative Fernando Cerimedo, tells me authorities are seeking to arrest her as soon as Friday. According to sources within the Bolivian government and police, the case will argue that her (brave) testimony against Cerimedo’s crimes—which range from U.S. backed election interference to drug trafficking—is evidence she had prior knowledge and failed to report. Beller, a lawyer herself, cites multiple legal grounds for immunity and says this is an obvious attempt to silence her for exposing a corruption network spanning from Washington DC to Bolivia, Brazil, Argentina, and beyond. Beller’s whistleblowing prompted investigations in Argentina and Chile, including a congressional commission probing Cerimedo. The Bolivian attorney general who arrested and charged Cerimedo with femicide for the attack on Beller was sanctioned by the U.S. and later detained by Bolivian authorities. Beller says she fears for her life and the life of her unborn child, which Cerimedo allegedly fathered. She is calling on the international community to support her in the face of political lawfare, attempted femicide, and state repression. Please share far and wide.

BREAKING: Quebec will switch to standard time this weekend, PERMANENTLY. Standard time, also known as natural time, is the best option for our eating habits and health. Good move. Atlantic Canada will likely follow, leaving Ontario as the only province still changing its clocks.
