Followed the results (and my stomach) and chose correctly! One bite in and this is already the best chowder I’ve had in the city.
Teaching this morning in south Sheepshead Bay, near Brighton. Should I walk to Cafe Kashkar (my usual) for lunch, or finally try either Randazzo’s Clam Bar or Roll N Roaster?

Well, I made it to intermission, but god, I forgot just HOW cramped the family circle seats are. My feet couldn’t sit flat on the floor without my knees digging into the lyric screen rail. Beautiful orchestration, but I’m headed home babes.
Francisco got us tickets to Lincoln in the Bardo at the Met tonight, and listen, I want to love contemporary opera, but I’m having a hard time mustering up the endurance to make it through three hours of angular melodies in those cramped little seats on a Monday night.
I’ve never had a bad meal at Cafe Katja on Orchard. About once or twice a year I get a real hankering for Austrian food, and it’s the best I’ve had in the city. Cafe Brume too, a bit more chichi, but I’d rate the weinerschnitzel a bit higher.
Francisco wants to see Fjord but I really think I’ll find it so tedious. Cause like idk yeah run that family out of town, give their kids to the state, irdgaf. I kinda wanna see Other Mommy instead.
I know it’s been over a decade, but Miranda Hart needs to bring back ‘Miranda’ every so often like they do with Ab Fab.
The Blasting Company is playing their music from Over the Garden Wall at Brooklyn Steel in three weeks and I’m so glad I found out about it in time I’m probably gonna cry a bunch.

I can’t think of any other place in the world where people can regularly attack American citizens, American journalists, like this and our US political and media elites say nothing. No scandal, no outrage, no calls for action or accountability.
BREAKING: Heidi Levine, a photojournalist working in the occupied West Bank with The Washington Post, has sustained injuries along with several others after being attacked by settlers during a pogrom in the village of Abu Falah.

This is why I get much of my reading done on the C train. Once I grab a seat, it’s 40 mins of no service bliss. And yes you could say, just turn your phone off or whatever; but if it was that easy, we’d all be doing it!
Ancestry update came back and finally confirmed I’m more Irish (42%) than English (40%). Just barely, and I know those percentages aren’t what they seem etc, but I’m taking the (slight) win.
Yes it’s clearly stunning but every time I visited, there was something uncanny about it. I always had a good time there, don’t get me wrong, but it never felt like a real place, more like a simulation.
