Used a banked Codex reset JUST before a global reset. @thsottiaux had announced it on X, but I was busy building in Codex 🙃
So I made a hook plugin that shows usage-reset news at session start.
Maybe useful.
github.com/pkarstaedt/codex-…
hey @thsottiaux what's going on? 70% of my Pro 5x plan gone in one day doing some pretty standard stuff that takes like 25% off normally. Could you guys leave your fingers off the quota so we can... work?
putt.day #69 ⛳ 3/10 Albatross · 🔥24 — can you beat it? putt.day/s/RwoS_rW79zTw #dailyputt definitely doable in 2 but that would be... one stroke of luck.
hey @ouraring is your API still busted? getting completely outdated daily_activity webhooks since many days. Today I got 27 webhooks for daily_activity objectID that, if I fetch it manually:
For GET /v2/usercollection/daily_activity/<id>:
{
"id": "id",
"day": "2026-06-13",
"timestamp": "2026-06-13T04:00:00.000+02:00",
"steps": 3420,
"score": 77,
"active_calories": 278,
"total_calories": 2476,
.... other data
}
This is like a delay of one week, I don't care about one week old activity data. What is happening with the API? Why is it sending webhooks with updates for old daily activity from a week ago? This is happening for me across production and dev environments, different apps, different user ids.
Care to comment?
I see nothing wrong with this. Of course @Microsoft wants me to send over my codex config file. As a sample. To check if it's safe. That's a-ok in my book. Thanks for keeping me protected! Who knows what pesky @OpenAI access credentials could hide in there!
Because I wanted to be a good boy I tried to red-team my own creation today.
Codex said nah because the test looked too much like a cybersecurity risk.
Which is fair. And absurd.
It's fun to crap on all the vibecoded stuff shipping with obvious security holes.
What if they actually wanted to fix them and the AI just wouldn’t let them?
We all owe @steipete an apology.
The 100€ plan on @OpenAI got nerfed to death. @thsottiaux are you sure the 2x Codex promo wasn't a 10x promo? Tokens are draining super fast, already down to 35% weekly quota when a full day of work barely was 10-15% of my overall quota. And is gpt-5.5 nursing a hangover rn?
I’m looking for a small number of alpha testers for @Aideia_ai 's upcoming launch.
For this first alpha, the ideal setup is simple:
- You use Google Calendar
- You track fitness or health signals with Oura or Apple Health
- You have smart speakers at home, like Sonos or Amazon Echo
The goal is to test the interaction design and message pacing/spacing for the proactive reminders.
If that sounds like your setup and you want to try an early insight of having an accountability partner right there with you, join the waitlist or message me.
aideia.ai
Most AI assistants are being built around outward-facing tasks:
schedule the meeting, summarize the document, book the restaurant, draft the email, find the file.
Useful. I want those too.
But Aideia is aimed at a different burden: the inner mental load of living through a day well.
Remembering what you intended.
Noticing when your energy, schedule, or routines are drifting.
Seeing the next realistic moment to drink water, move, reset, or follow through.
Knowing when help should be spoken, messaged, summarized, or held back.
Aideia connects the signals that already describe parts of your day, then turns them into a working model of daily life.
The goal is not another dashboard.
The goal is an assistant that helps you stay aligned with the life you meant to live.
Article 2: Presenting Aideia, a voice-first, holistic, and proactive personal assistant.
pkarstaedt.substack.com/p/pr…
With the second article in my series, this is the first time I can show off @Aideia_ai properly. A voice-first, proactive personal assistant to keep you aligned with your best self. Waitlist now open at aideia.ai
Read the vision here: pkarstaedt.substack.com/p/pr…
I have been building toward this since 2023.
First as ExtendedConscience, a monolithic Python script that ran on Frankendot, a Raspberry Pi grafted onto a broken Amazon Echo.
Then as Zenion, a Flask/Redis/RQ service attached to smart-home hacks and dodgy voice output on Chromecast.
Now as Aideia, the first cloud-based multi-user implementation of the idea.
The vision across all the rewrites:
Aggregate the tools, services and wearables I use everyday.
Turn them into a working digital model of my actual life.
Have someone support me keeping my intentions present when the day starts pulling me away from them.
This is not an assistant that helps you book a flight or reserve a restaurant table.
But it takes the power of AI to help us lead better lives more easily. I think that's the right side of history.
🤖 Made with AI
AI assistants are brilliant once you bring the context to them.
The problem is that the real life rarely arrives as a clean prompt.
Calendar, wearable, tasks, routines, attention, social context, energy. The user still has to reconcile all of it.

Let @openclaw and #Hermes have spicy convos in slack. Let them book your plane tickets and do your taxes.
Aideia helps you look inside, at your life, your habits. It's the bridge to your real actions in the analog world. It will mention that now would be a great time to work out. Without you asking. Because it knows your schedule, that you slept great tonight, and who you want to be.
And it'll get you away from the screens. Just voice. No more notifications. No more apps. It's just there for you.
It's going to be something new. And if @steipete build the claw, I can build this. It's going to be the most important thing I'll ever do. And it's taking shape. I want to build this. (by @phikappa)

Aight, Aideia progress update time!
✅ Comms and Real Life Data:
📱 @telegram , @WhatsApp & @signalapp
🔊 @AmazonAlexa Echo skill (two-way proactive comms) + @Sonos smart speaker support
💓 @ouraring , @fitbit + Aideia iOS companion app (#AppleHealth auto export & geolocation)
📅 @googlecalendar , @todoist for schedule and todos
💧 @HidrateSpark & @UprightPose (hydration & posture monitoring)
✅ Intelligence & Nudges:
📊 Hourly / daily / weekly biosign rollups with NL commentary & historical context for RAG
📣 Basic Outbound message policy framework:
🌅 Good morning & good night summaries
🚶 Proactive hydration, activity & posture nudges
🏠Location/State: At home? At computer? In bed? (sort of. bit of woowoo. would be trivial with thermal imaging MLX90640 but no hardware for now...)
⚠️ Contentious — privacy engine:
👥 Needs a better presence model: who's around? When can Aideia speak?
🎙️ Went down a dead-end rabbit hole building on-device voice + speaker ID for room-level presence with 7 old android phones + pyannote/segmentation + nemo-titanet_small but mics are too unreliable to depend on (also no hw we said!)
✋ Explicit user boundaries always work as fallback ("my mom's visiting, shut up for 4 hours" ) but meh...
🔧 Actively working... the hard parts:
🔄 Integration data harmonization & deduplication for body (sleep, hidration, nutrition, movement/exercise) & mind (mindfulness, reflection, cognitive load) domains.
🧠 Conversation handling, routing & intent extraction
💾 Permanent structured memory integration with Hindsight
📓 Journaling module with RAG & memory integration
🎯 Alllll the conversation intent handlers (what does the user want to do?! -> multi-layer intent extraction and modules)
📋 Still open:
⚡ Nudge algo moving breakpoint theory into HCI / opportune moment detection.
🔗 Slogging through integration hell
⏱️ ETA: ~2 months? Yeah dunno. Gimme 48hrs per day and @claudeai fixing token consumption and @OpenAI extending 2x codex limits.
