We must stop the radical left’s takeover of Los Angeles and California.
As Honorary Fire Chief of Pacific Palisades, I stood with my community through the devastating fires — watching the hometown I grew up in burn to the ground.
Leadership failures under Mayor Karen Bass and Governor Gavin Newsom turned tragedy into catastrophe: empty reservoirs, idle fire engines, ignored warnings, and political photo-ops instead of real preparedness.
Enough is enough.
Los Angeles was once great — and it can be again. Proud to have served as a top civilian advisor to the LAFD, supporting our brave first responders and fighting for real accountability and safety. 🚒🌴

Useful information…
My brother made $12,000 off his YouTube channel this month without any sponsorships, and I just set up a lesson with a pro surfer even though my kidney health is declining and I don't know how much longer I have. Why am I telling you this random information?
Because it was my brother who once told me, "You are going to FUCKING die one day." (Sorry for the cussing, but that's what he said.) He was saying that was his mindset behind why he took a risk and quit his job to grow his YouTube channel.
Even though he's my little brother, that's probably the best motivation I have ever heard in my life outside of the Bible. I am not saying we should all go travel the world, surf, and waste our money. What I am saying is that you will die one day. Our country might decline to dust, but you won't be alive to see it, because you will die. So you need to be taking action towards your goals or higher purpose.
When Joe Biden was president my other little brother joined the Green Berets, even though people were saying joining the Army during Biden was a risk. But he took action, and now he's living. He's doing things every day that would cost us thousands and thousands of dollars in guide fees, plane tickets, and ammo. He didn't sit at home. He took action.
So with all the people freaking out about another midterm election, why don't you turn off the news, focus on your family, focus on ways you can make a difference, and yes, focus on yourself. We don't know how much time we have left on this earth, but God does. Do not worry about today or tomorrow (Matthew 6:34), for this is the day the Lord has made (Psalm 118:24). You need to keep moving, and you need to take action for yourself, your family, and your community. Want to get involved with your church? Do it. Want to join the military? Do it. Want to learn a new hobby? Do it. You are useless scrolling X and sitting at home because today made you sad.

The ABC7 family is mourning the loss of longtime news anchor and reporter Harold Greene, who died at 82 years old. His work over the years earned him multiple Golden Mike, Emmy, and Edward R. Murrow awards. Greene's impact was felt by colleagues throughout the newsroom. abc7ne.ws/BYJyfA

Seriously, the cost of living was the number one issue for California voters, and yet they voted for the guy who promised to make everyone pay to drive.
They actually have no ability to understand the consequences of policies they support.
No thinking beyond “Orange Man Bad.”
To my Friend and Political Mentor. What an Incredible Campaign…We Love and will always support you Gloria ❤️
Californians made their choice in this election. While this is not the outcome I worked for, I respect the decision of the voters and congratulate Fiona Ma on her victory. I have extended to her my congratulations and my genuine offer to ensure her success as Lt. Governor of California.
I am deeply grateful to every Californian who voted for me, volunteered, and supported my belief that the California Dream still matters. I believe that every child deserves a quality education and the opportunity to succeed, regardless of zip code. I believe education is the key to the American Dream and the need to restore meritocracy into our college protocols and students need a College Degree Guarantee to ensure affordability and accessibility. I believe women and girls deserve protection and there should be no place for anti-Semitism in our colleges and workplaces. I believe that no community should ever be burned out of our homes because extinct fish or plants are valued over human lives. I believe that we can have secure borders while ensuring fair and just processes for hardworking migrants in our communities.
These principles do not change because an election has ended. I have never hesitated to tilt at windmills, no matter how powerful. The work must--and will-continue. I congratulate all candidates who stepped up to offer a vision for a revitalized California. Today, we move forward with the understanding that California is not a Blue state. Nor is it a Red state. California is the GOLDEN state, and working together, we will Make California Golden Again.
Thank you. God bless you, and God bless the great state of California.

Democrats and Republicans are reacting about as obviously and predictably as possible. An angry slurry of excuse making and blame shifting by the GOP elite, "told ya so" by MAGA, and a hazy euphoric bravado from Dems too stupid to realize the party will accomplish nothing.

Most of the takes today are wrong and you can ignore. What to know:
1. Reagan lost both houses and 8 Senate seats in 1986.
2. Bush did the Iraq surge *after* losing 2006 midterms.
3. Oversight won't be pretty but accountability is useful.
4. Have a good day. It's a great country.

🚨What happens if Trump loses the House and Senate?
Clinton & Obama already set precedent.
They weren't done at all in their last 2 years.
Victor Davis Hanson explains:
Clinton fell to 37% approval but left office at about 66%. In between, he was impeached but not convicted and bombed Serbia for 78 days without Congress.
Obama's approval fell to 38% and still left office near 60%. He bombed Libya in 2011 without Congress, ran hundreds of drone strikes in Pakistan, Yemen and Somalia, and started bombing ISIS in Iraq and Syria in 2014 without a new vote. He said "I've got a pen and I've got a phone," and skipped the Senate on the Iran deal and Paris.
Low approval and a hostile Congress didn't finish them. For both, it was the best thing that ever happened to them in some ways.

Ten Random Election Night Thoughts:
1. Democrats in power is good business for conservative media and podcasters. Take that for what it is worth.
2. Half of Americans have an IQ of 100 or less.
3. Why is a midterm loss for the Presidential incumbent’s party so common? Are people really that shortsighted and devoid of animating principles? And I mean this in a non-partisan way. Who votes for Obama in 2008 and then helps the GOP win in 2010? Who votes for Trump in 2024 and then helps the Dems win in 2026? Are Americans really that stupidly fickle?
4. Why can’t every state count its votes in a few hours like Florida?
5. Democrat voters are like locusts. They ravage one state, escape that state to a good and decent state, and then turn their new state into the same hellhole they just left. Don’t believe me? Ask Colorado. Now, Texas, apparently.
6. Thune is happy right now.
7. The silver lining is that the Dems are going to accomplish nothing in the next two years other than to run endless, silly investigations and impeachments, which will make them look impotent and weak headed into 2028.
8. Trump is about to be unleashed. He has no midterms to worry about and he probably could care less about the campaign of the 2028 GOP nominee, JD or otherwise. “Unitary executive” is about to take on a new meaning.
9. If I was whomever is in charge of Iran at the moment, I’d be looking at properties in the Cayman Islands.
10. The legacy media still has more power than most conservatives are willing to acknowledge.

Biggest lesson I learned from ayahuasca, which I realize many of you consider "demonic," even though it's what got me back to church, is that you can't run from yourself. There is nowhere to go to. Leaving California for Texas accomplished what? The only way out is through.
Now is your time Spencer…
We're in a new era of communication, and only one side seems to be living in it. The old guard consultant class is about to be relegated to the dustbin of history.
If you think that high prices lost the election for the right, you don't understand marketing. Humans have no problem paying a premium for a good quality brand. Notice the word "brand", not "product". Are Nikes better than New Balance? Nope. But the brand is better. And notice what happened when they tinkered with the brand and screwed their core narrative? Nike stock fell through the basement. Did the product change? Nope. The brand did.
It's not the product, it's the brand. Results don't sell the product, the storytelling does. Will these newly-elected commies lower prices? Of course not. Are they gonna get you free healthcare? No, your insurance is gonna get even worse, just like it did the last time they tried socialized medicine. They're not going to do anything they've sold you, but...like Saul Goodman said: if you're committed enough, you can make any story work.
The committed storytelling of a couple insane podcasters was enough to fracture an entire political coalition from their own side in less than 2 years...they have zero power, zero credibility, they've never actually governed anything nor produced any results, but...they're good storytellers, and that's all that matters. Are they telling a good story? No, it's atrocious, but they're telling their atrocious story effectively and compellingly.
It is 100% true that everything's too damn expensive, and we all know that inflated prices are always sticky. Does anyone know that it's entirely the result of shutting down the global economy over the flu and (both naive republicans and democrats) printing infinity dollars for several years? Nope...because nobody has effectively told that story, and it's an unsexy story to tell. "Free stuff!" is a VERY easy story to tell, and when everyone's gotta take out a second mortgage just to pay their insurance premiums, "free healthcare" is an unbeatable story. It doesn't matter that "free healthcare" doesn't exist and socialized medicine is a terrible product...it's not the product, it's the brand. And "FREE!" is a great brand.
You can't get mad at people for having the financial literacy of a 9 year old. I mean, you can, but they outnumber you a million to one, so it's not going to be productive. You need to figure out how to make an unsexy story sexy, or else the "free stuff!" crowd is going to eat your lunch every time. If you give people a choice between earning a six pack on a treadmill or taking Ozempic, they're gonna choose Ozempic...they don't care about the side effects. If you give people a choice between fiscal discipline or free stuff...guess what they'll pick? They don't care about the side effects.
With projected growth of 5%, the economy right now is stronger than it's been in generations. Is that the story you hear? Nope. Is that the vibe you feel? Absolutely not, especially when every time you fill up your gas tank, it feels like a diesel enema.
It's not the product, it's the brand. A great product can fall into oblivion with bad messaging...a single bad review from one effective storyteller can tank a restaurant. The "influencer economy" is lucrative for a reason; everybody inherently understands the importance of effective storytelling...except the right. Zohran Mamdani gets it...he has an army of influencers on staff. In a perfect metaphor of this transitional phase of old guard vs new wave political messaging, Zohran nuked the Vice President into oblivion with maybe the biggest ratio in the history of the internet. By simply posting the subway assistant meme, Mamdani got 2 MILLION likes, quoting a post from the VP that had only 10K likes. If you're reading that sentence thinking "this is fucking ridiculous, you're talking about social media likes as political analysis now?"...you are the problem.
Yes, this stuff matters. Rizz matters. The President did a masterful job of this kind of retail politics in his historic 2024 campaign...you can be angry that this is what politics has been reduced to, but you can either adapt or die.
"No the problem is, you didn't deliver enough for the American people!" Are you a moron? Since when does anybody care about that? What have democrats delivered for Californians in the last 20 years? Unmitigated wildfires, homeless drug zombies everywhere, roads that look like Fallujah in 2004...people don't care about results. They think they care about results. That want you to believe they care about results, just as Nike wants you to believe their shoes are better than New Balance...but at the end of the day, all people really care about is the swoosh.
Adapt or die.

I once watched a documentary on the Soviet Union. A woman in her apartment, asked what her dream was. She waved it off. It was an incomprehensible question to her. There was no hope, only despair. One of the most depressing films I've seen. Tonight reminded me of this.

This is why we call it the “Pilot In Command”
This happened in the same vicinity where the ill-fated Lear Jet hit the storm cell.
JetBlue pilot en route from Fort Lauderdale to Austin says to ATC:
“So you're gonna make us go through a, uh, severe thunderstorm?”
The captain then commanded the situation and overrode the ATC:
“So we declare an emergency, making a left turn heading 260 for severe weather avoidance.”
Sometimes piloting demands a specific set of traits - decisiveness, independent judgment, and the backbone to reject an instruction when it doesn’t feel right.
Refusing the assigned heading showed exactly that kind of assertive leadership.
Whoever is pilot monitoring must make these tough calls but ultimately, the captain is the final authority and ultimately accountable for every soul on board.
