I mean, it's a microservice, Michael, how much work could it do? One RPC?
Over 1 million people have joined Mastodon since October 27. Between that and those who returned to their old accounts, the number of active users has risen to over 1.6 million today, which, for context, is over 3 times what it was just about two weeks ago!

as an app developer, it's incredibly funny to me that this guy bought the world's most popular app, and is just now discovering what it's like to sell an app to normal people

Imho best/safest way to model UI state is leveraging immutability and exhaustive evaluation. Even if some states seem to overlap a bit (e.g: having Error, Loading, ErrorAndLoading, Content, and ContentAndLoading states). Avoid opening the door to impossible/inconsistent states.
