As a former Philadelphia Republican voter I'll only say that Philly election administration has gotten notably more trustworthy over the last two decades while the Justice Department has grown notably less trust worthy over the last two years.

Mao Zedong was a dictator and probably had more blood on his hands than any person who ever lived
At least three Chinese firms are cutting ties with French soccer star Kylian Mbappé, after he made some comments apparently referring to Mao Zedong, the founding leader of Communist China, as a dictator.

Jordan Klepper interviews a two-time Trump voter who regrets voting for Trump after his fiancée was deported.
"I thought he would be a businessman. I'm disgusted. He's a piece of shit. She's Cuban and they deported her to Mexico like trash. I didn't think anybody could be that cruel."
He's now registered as a member of the Democratic Party and says he's owned up to his mistakes for voting for "scum".

The main reason not to trust Russians, explained by Harry Truman.
“Do you trust the Russians?”
“No. Period.”
“Why?”
“Because they broke every agreement they ever made with me.”

It remains a scandal that Senate Rs voted to confirm Todd Blanche as AG. That he would abuse the power of office was entirely foreseeable, as he had already abused the power of office as Acting and Deputy Attorney General. A shamefu constitutional failure by those senators. – at Weehawken, NJ

MORE: Kremlin officials have consistently rejected ceasefire proposals — both for a partial and complete ceasefire that the US and Ukraine have proposed — while Ukrainian officials have consistently reiterated their willingness for such a ceasefire.
Peskov’s and Ushakov’s recent statements indicate that the Kremlin’s position heading into the upcoming trilateral talks remains to reject ceasefire proposals.
Furthermore, the Kremlin’s current negotiating position on the war in Ukraine continues to include Moscow’s longstanding demand from before the full-scale invasion that NATO change its charter and roll back its membership to NATO’s former 1997 borders.

Donald Trump was never a conservative. At best, he's an anti-immigrant conspiracist who saw that crank line as the path for a Democrat to wheedle his way into gaining the Republican nomination.

I definitely think Obama is much more divisive than his admirers think. They are essentially blind and deaf to his condescension and it’s bizarre to me. Even more bizarre, however: MAGA and Trump apologists being outraged by Obama/Clinton’s “divisive” rhetoric without being even slightly troubled by Trump’s far worse and far more sustained rhetoric of demonization and delegitimization never mind “division.” It makes a vast amount of their panty-bunching whining seem almost pretextual (though I don’t think it is. I think a lot of it is the same kind of blindness and deafness.).

I do find it absolutely incredible that Musk says Ukrainians must stop fighting to save their country because of all the death, yet his own cuts to USAID have led to hundreds of thousands and potentially millions of deaths, many of which are children.
People close their eyes.

Reliable estimates vary by methodology and assumptions. A July 2025 Lancet study projected over 14 million excess deaths by 2030 (uncertainty 8.5-19.7 million), including 4.5 million children under 5, from an 83% USAID cut, based on historical mortality reductions. Center for Global Development analyses of 2025 spending put annual lives lost at 500,000-1.6 million. Boston University’s Impact Counter estimated 750,000-781,000 deaths in the first year. Actual totals remain uncertain due to disrupted data and other factors.
