got liquidated for 10k on purpose last night.
might be the best trade i've made all year.
⠀
here's why 👇
⠀
@papertrade_xyz only mints its token when you lose.
no team bag. no vc. no presale.
⠀
you want PAPER, you lose money.
at launch it was 100 PAPER per $1 lost.
⠀
so i lost money.
⠀
btc short 1000x, 10k.
dead in minutes → 999k PAPER, staked right away.
⠀
stakers get paid in usdc.
once the LP is over 5m, 99% of everything above it goes to stakers.
⠀
the LP has been pinned at 5m all night.
every trader getting rekt is basically paying the stakers.
18.3m paid out in the first 5 hours.
⠀
my dead 10k: $8,008.92 in usdc.
5 hours in. 80% of the loss already back.
⠀
@papertrade_xyz cleanest tokenomics i've seen this cycle. does the 99% overflow stay on as the LP keeps growing?
⠀
@blknoiz06 it all started with a 10k liquidation.
⠀
checking back in 3 months. jan 10 i post:
1. total usdc this one liquidation pulled
2. where PAPER is trading
⠀
your guess?

Continuing today's memecoin recap series
Overall, market volume has improved quite a bit compared to the past few days, and several plays I've been watching recently have also been performing pretty well
Personally, I really like these kinds of setups. My trading style has always been focused on higher-cap plays with solid liquidity, a strong narrative, and clear catalysts, rather than constantly chasing low-cap gambles
And the first token I want to talk about today is solana:8nnaeWCw8mUypcGAgbmSuzAT85uWx4UN12adDrMhXrGF
I'm pretty sure most of you already know the story behind HOTBOT, so I won't spend too much time explaining its AI trading agent concept again
What I'm more interested in is what has actually changed over the past few days, why capital is starting to flow into HOTBOT, whether its current valuation still makes sense, and where I'd consider buying the dip
Let's break it down
1. Why wasn't I particularly interested in HOTBOT before?
HOTBOT isn't something that just appeared today
I'd been keeping an eye on it since its market cap was still relatively low, but back then, I didn't see enough reasons to put it on my high-conviction watchlist
The idea of building a private AI trading team was interesting
Instead of having a single chatbot generating trading signals, HOTBOT aims to combine ResearchBot, SniperBot, TraderBot, and LaunchBot into one system that can research tokens, identify entries, and execute trades based on strategies set by users
But at that stage, most of what I saw was still a concept, a litepaper, and a product with very limited beta access
I've researched quite a few AI agent projects, and one recurring problem is that the concept sounds great, but the actual product often struggles to live up to expectations
That's why I preferred to keep watching rather than ape in purely because of the narrative
Now, at least, HOTBOT has more concrete data for us to evaluate
2. What is the team actually building?
This is one of the developments I find most encouraging
Between October 5 and 10, @usehotbot consistently shared product updates
One of the most notable is ShieldBot, a system designed to filter out tokens showing signs of rugs or scams before they enter the trading pipeline
According to the team's internal data, ShieldBot can filter out more than 90% of risky tokens from a dataset of over 50K new tokens per day
Among the tokens that pass its filters, the team claims roughly 9 out of 10 picks have gone up, with around 70% reaching 3x or more
Those numbers sound impressive, but I want to emphasize that they're self-reported and haven't been independently verified
Another interesting update is Faster Data
The team says they've removed their reliance on certain third-party APIs and switched to pulling data directly on-chain, allowing their bots to detect new tokens roughly 60 seconds earlier than before
In memecoin trading, speed matters a lot, especially when some of the best opportunities only exist for a very short window
They've also introduced Smarter Settings and reportedly increased their research capacity to around 1,000 concurrent checks
I like seeing the team continuously improve the product, but its actual performance still needs to be proven as beta access expands
3. How credible is the team behind HOTBOT?
One thing I always check when researching AI projects is who's actually building the product
Based on the information shared publicly, HOTBOT has two main technical contributors :
@elijahintek, who is described as having previous experience with Gate and x402
@0xWhoismax, who is said to have previously worked with Light Terminal
The team emphasizes that both developers are doxxed and actively building in public
Personally, I see this as a positive because the community can at least follow the people responsible for developing the product
Another detail worth mentioning is the team's claim that the developer wallet primarily accumulated tokens through buybacks rather than holding a large allocation from launch
However, being doxxed doesn't automatically make a project safe
What matters more is whether the team keeps shipping, expands the product, and delivers on its tokenomics commitments
4. The tokenomics are what really caught my attention
Unlike many AI memecoins that rely almost entirely on narrative to attract capital, HOTBOT is trying to give its token an actual role within the product
According to the team's announced model :
Users are expected to stake around 50,000 HOTBOT to unlock product access, with a seven-day cooldown when unstaking
There's also a subscription fee of approximately $20 per month, payable in USDC or SOL, to maintain the private trading team and cover AI operating costs
TraderBot is designed to charge a 0.5% trading fee. Under the proposed mechanism, 100% of those fees would be used to buy HOTBOT from the market, with 60% of the purchased tokens burned and 40% allocated to the treasury
There's also Quant Mode, which would require burning around 25,000 HOTBOT to unlock more advanced research tools and strategy customization
If these mechanisms are fully implemented, HOTBOT could have multiple sources of token demand rather than relying entirely on speculation
But I still consider this tokenomics model a work in progress, not something already operating at scale
5. Creator fees and buybacks are starting to show meaningful numbers
This is probably the most important part of the current thesis
According to a ClawPump snapshot compiled on October 10, HOTBOT had generated approximately 627.5 SOL in cumulative creator fees
The same snapshot recorded around 252.4 SOL under buybacks, while nearly 79,950 $ANSEM had been distributed to holders, worth approximately $11K at the time
Previously, the team had also announced an airdrop of roughly 48,380 $ANSEM
These figures suggest that token trading activity has already generated actual fees, with some value being distributed back to the community
However, there's something worth paying attention to
The creator fee allocation has been described differently across various updates
One snapshot showed 30% allocated to buybacks, 25% to holder airdrops, and 45% to the creator, while earlier announcements mentioned a 50/25/25 structure
That's why I'll continue monitoring the on-chain data rather than assuming one fixed allocation
More importantly, creator fees generated from token trading do not mean HOTBOT is already generating significant revenue from users of its AI trading product
Those are two different sources of value
6. Why has HOTBOT pumped so hard in such a short period?
I don't think there's one single catalyst behind HOTBOT's recent move
It's more likely the result of several factors coming together
First, the AI trading agent narrative is starting to attract attention again
Second, HOTBOT's connection to ClawPump and AnsemHack has helped it gain visibility within the Solana community
Third, the team has been consistently shipping updates while many projects in the same category are still stuck at the idea stage
And finally, the creator fee, buyback, and holder reward mechanisms have started getting people interested in the possibility of a sustainable flywheel
The logic is pretty straightforward
More attention can lead to higher token trading volume, which generates more creator fees, with a portion potentially going toward buybacks or holder distributions
If the product eventually attracts real users, bot trading fees could become an additional source of demand
But I think it's important to separate these two flywheels
The first one depends heavily on speculative memecoin trading volume
The second depends on the product's ability to attract and retain actual users
Right now, we have data supporting the first one
The second still needs to prove itself
7. What does the on-chain data tell us?
Based on the latest figures I've reviewed, HOTBOT has approximately 5.2K–5.6K holders, a significant increase from its early days
The top 10 holders reportedly control around 23–24% of the supply, depending on the snapshot and whether system wallets are excluded
Several token security tools have also given relatively positive assessments of basic security factors such as mint authority, freeze authority, and liquidity status
However, I wouldn't consider a high security score enough to conclude that a token is safe
HOTBOT is only around eight days old, its holder history is still very limited, and liquidity remains relatively thin compared to its valuation
Some reports put liquidity around $300K–$800K while market cap has already reached approximately $6–7M
That means a large wave of profit-taking could easily trigger a sharp correction
For me, the next thing to watch isn't just whether the holder count continues increasing
It's also whether major wallets are accumulating, distributing, or moving their tokens elsewhere
8. What are the next catalysts?
I think HOTBOT has already benefited from the initial attention surrounding AnsemHack and ClawPump
So I wouldn't expect an old hackathon announcement to remain the main driver of price action
The most important catalyst now is broader product access
HOTBOT is still primarily operating under an invite-only model
If the team successfully expands beta access, attracts real users, and starts publishing verifiable trading data, the thesis could become significantly stronger
There are three things I particularly want to see
First, the actual number of active users, not just people signing up for a waitlist
Second, trading volume and fees generated by the product itself, rather than creator fees from token speculation
And finally, independently verifiable bot performance data, including losing trades
If HOTBOT can deliver on these points, the market may eventually start valuing it as a trading software business with an associated token, rather than just another AI memecoin
If not, the current narrative could lose momentum pretty quickly
9. Chart analysis and my dip-buying plan
Now let's look at the H1 chart
HOTBOT spent a relatively long period consolidating around the $1–2M market cap range before breaking out aggressively
It then expanded toward $6–7M, briefly wicked close to $9M, and pulled back toward $6.5M
The positive part is that the breakout came with a noticeable increase in volume, suggesting that fresh capital was entering the market
But after such an aggressive move, I'm not interested in chasing green candles
My plan is pretty simple
$5–5.5M MC: This is the first area where I'd watch for a reaction. If price pulls back here, selling volume starts declining, and buyers show signs of absorbing supply, I may consider opening a small position
$4–5M MC: This is the area I find more attractive from a risk/reward perspective if we get a deeper pullback. However, I'd only consider adding if the price structure starts stabilizing, not simply because the token has dropped significantly
$2.5–3.5M MC: This would be a deeper correction scenario if momentum fades or the market starts losing confidence in the narrative. If HOTBOT returns to this range, I'd reassess the thesis rather than automatically treating it as a bargain
As for invalidation, if HOTBOT loses the $4M region and fails to reclaim it while selling volume increases, I'd avoid aggressive DCA and prioritize capital preservation
On the other hand, if price consolidates well around $6M and eventually breaks above the $8–9M region with strong volume, HOTBOT could enter another phase of price discovery
Even then, I'd still prefer waiting for a retest rather than FOMOing directly into the breakout
These are areas I'm watching based on the current chart structure, not guaranteed support levels
10. Bull case, bear case, and my final thoughts
I think HOTBOT is one of the more interesting AI trading agent projects to watch on Solana right now
My bull case isn't based on the team claiming ShieldBot has an extremely high win rate or that its AI can consistently identify 3x tokens
What interests me is whether HOTBOT can turn an AI trading product into an ecosystem with real users, real revenue, and mechanisms that create actual demand for its token
If the team continues shipping, successfully expands beta access, grows its active user base, and sustains buybacks through recurring fees, the current valuation could still have room to grow
But the bear case is just as clear
The product is still invite-only, its AI performance hasn't been independently verified, several tokenomics mechanisms aren't fully operational yet, and much of the current valuation still depends on narrative and speculative trading volume
At a $6–7M market cap, HOTBOT is no longer as cheap as it was in its early stages
The market has already started pricing in future expectations, while the project still has plenty left to prove
Personally, I like the direction the team is taking, and I think HOTBOT has more substance than most AI memecoins I've researched
But liking a project doesn't mean I need to buy it at any price
I'll continue monitoring creator fees, buyback activity, product updates, and most importantly, actual adoption
If we get a decent dip into the areas I'm watching and the thesis remains intact, I'll consider taking a position
For now, I see no reason to FOMO after a move of several hundred percent
Even a good project can be a bad trade if you enter at the wrong price
That's how I'm looking at HOTBOT right now

Started the $20K challenge today.
Pulled out all my profits so far. Left just $20K in the account. That's the starting stack.
Target: $1M.
Could go to zero, but I'm not stopping till it's one or the other.
If you wanna watch the run, come through.
Can't wait to see where this is a month from now.
Hoping luck's on my side. LFG.

Started an X account for Kardashev Research (@Kardashev_AI)
Very early days in preparing this e/acc non-profit but it's the start of a generational instiution.
Been excited to do this for a while w/@mjdramstead and the events of the last few days were a great catalyst.

as @brian_armstrong said here, AI agentic economy is projected to be bigger than the human economy.
agents will drive the majority of transaction volume, onchain and eventually offchain. they won’t have traditional bank accounts or identities, so hundreds of billions in agentic commerce will naturally settle onchain. And @coinbase has been making it a core focus to become the hub for AI agentic commerce.
AI agents make sense onchain. imo this will become one of crypto’s biggest use cases over the next few years, and it’s already starting to happen.
$SINGIT is building the infra for this: agentic commerce and payments through x402, allowing agents to transact permissionlessly without directly holding keys.
it solves a major piece of the agentic economy stack, is already processing significant AI agent volume, and was recently followed by @circle (@USDC) global marketing lead.
imo @SingItAgent could become one of the core infra layers for AI agents on @base.

SPCXB on-chain today: 501,438 tokens, worth $68.5M, held by 196,048 wallets.
MarsCoin, just three weeks in: 32,131 holders, over $250M in total volume, and 19.24K SPCXB distributed to holders, worth $2.63M.
That means 3.8% of the entire SPCXB supply has already moved through the MarsCoin vault.
