We’re honored to welcome Prof. Karl Friston, world-renowned neuroscientist and pioneer of the Free Energy Principle, as a founding advisor to Kardashev Research. Together, we’ll explore the foundations of intelligence and the thermodynamics of self-organizing complex systems.

This is how academics ensure some questions become "settled." Gatekeepers at ideologically captured journals set the rules that preclude any opposition. Years later, since no contrary views can be found in the peer-reviewed journals, it must be a settled question. Voila.
🚨ALERT: The editors of the journal Men and Masculinities will no longer allow authors to refer to individuals as being "male." If an author uses the term, they should "specify which dimension(s) of sex are at issue, since sex itself refers to several only loosely correlated dimensions rather than a single underlying fact." For example, trans-identifying male swimmer Lia Thomas must be referred to as a woman, and his maleness, if mentioned at all, must be attached to specific traits, like genitals, hormones, and chromosomes. You cannot call Lia Thomas a "male" in this journal, but a woman with "male genitals" and "male sex chromosomes." The first author of this editorial—the Managing Editor of Men and Masculinities, Tristen Kade—is a woman who identifies as a man. The model of biological sex this editorial is pushing is what I refer to in my scholarly article "Why There Are Exactly Two Sexes" as the "multi-level" sex model. This model is not merely wrong—it is self-refuting. From my article: "Traits are labeled 'male-typical' or 'female-typical' only because they correlate with organisms already identified as male or female—an identification that, in anisogamous species, is made ultimately by reference to gametes." Read my article at the link below. 🔗link.springer.com/article/10…

Humanity is trapped in an eternal discourse loop. Every question has been answered. “What if women dress like whores at the gym?” Plato speaks of this! Republic, Book V!

all you need to know: Anthropic ducked Q3 in its S-1. that omission tells you all you need. demand has drop, economics haven’t gotten worse. and a company that is allegedly built around trust is trying to skirt the truth. —- quote is from @zerohedge

So we’re all in agreement Anthropic was paying all of its expenses in convertible notes?
Anthropic: $134b of cash today $141b of total capital raised <$10b of total burn to get to $16.8b in quarterly revenue (Q3 figure that was widely reported, Q3 not in S-1 yet)

He murdered one woman and assaulted another 15-year old girl, leaving her disabled for life. In combination with his Indigenous ancestry, this was a credential that trumped any other. If you are surprised that a murder conviction would be a prestigious credential for an elite law school application, you don't understand today's progressivism. Despite violating his parole conditions multiple times, including gathering phone numbers of women and hiding them from his overseers in a halfway house where he is permitted to live outside of prison while serving a life sentence, 120 McGill Law students signed a petition calling on the school to let him continue to study alongside them.
McGill’s law school receives roughly 1,500 applications for just 180 spots. It gave one of those spots to a convicted murderer in his mid-60s, who will never pass the good character requirements to practice, and who violated his parole multiple times. theglobeandmail.com/opinion/…

For the international crowd, the Conservative Party of British Columbia won because it purged the more MAGA wing of the party in a civil war.
JUST IN: Conservatives just won a landslide majority in British Columbia, Canada, returning to power for the first time since 1928. And Brazil is about to elect a conservative President Flavio Bolsonaro. MAGA is spreading worldwide.

I won't stay up for the whole thing, but my congratulations to everybody who's worked on defeating, nay, crushing the NDP in BC tonight.

One reason young Canadians are becoming our most politically conservative cohort (and they are; look it up) is because they've all had to interact with an Emily Lowan.
BC Greens MLA-elect Emily Lowan says she's "scared" of what a BC Conservative majority government will do: "We will defend every service they try to cut. We will stand in front of every neighbour they try to scapegoat. We will defend trans rights and DRIPA."

This supposed “clearing” of Jason Arday for plagiarism is based on the fact that a single scientific journal decided not to retract a paper of his or take any further action such as issuing a correction. The journal did not come out with a statement saying they had “cleared” him. Nor did they asses all the papers of his that show evidence of fraud or plagiarism. They apparently took yet another look at a paper to which they had already attached a correction. But because the Byline Times is wedded to the narrative of claiming Arday was never at fault for anything, and because so is Bluesky, the claim flies unquestioned. Somehow these arguments never acknowledge that there is strong evidence that Arday stole another academic’s data and presented it as his own, which would be fraud.

Okay that’s two guys who have said it now, if this is really the case coreweave is toast outside of whatever plan Blackstone can concoct
$NBIS CEO Arkady Volozh Says Debt Markets Closed for Neoclouds Since Last Week "We have a pretty healthy balance sheet. We always thought about being more conservative here. We used all kinds of instruments. From last week, probably some of the capital sources are temporarily closed, like the asset-backed or debt market. But we're working now with customer advances and several other instruments, which will probably provide us enough finance to build this gigawatt at least."

The American mind can’t even comprehend the power of French irresponsibility.
French protestors want higher public spending, wages, subsidies and pensions. Meanwhile France has gov’t spending of 57% of GDP (among highest of Western countries), deficits of 5% of GDP, 10 year bond rate >5%, and a currency they don’t control. I don’t understand how this ends.
