I used to work at a bodhrán shop. It was an amazing job. The only music that was played in the shop was AC/DC though. So there was that lol.

Not sure of the validity of this (for reasons) but here, read and such.
You do not need an RF jammer or a cyber exploit to knock a drone out of the sky. In 2015, security researchers proved that playing an 8.2 kHz sound wave at an unprotected flight controller forces it to drop instantaneously. This is an acoustic resonance attack, and it exploits a mechanical vulnerability in the micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) inside consumer gyroscopes and hard drives. 1. The anatomy of a vibrating silicon spring Inside a drone's flight controller sits an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU). The core of that IMU is a MEMS gyroscope measuring less than four millimeters across. Inside the chip, a microscopic silicon proof mass is suspended above a substrate by silicon micro-springs. The internal drive circuit vibrates this mass back and forth at a known drive frequency. When the drone rotates along its pitch, roll, or yaw axis, the Coriolis force deflects the proof mass toward fixed capacitive comb fingers. The deflection shifts the electrical capacitance by fractions of a femtofarad. The chip's analog front-end converts this capacitance change into voltage, feeds it through an Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC), and passes raw angular rates to the flight controller over SPI or I2C. 2. The 8.2 kHz acoustic exploit Every physical structure suspended on micro-springs has a mechanical resonant frequency. In a 2015 USENIX Security study, researchers tested 15 commercial MEMS gyroscopes. Seven were vulnerable to acoustic resonance. Gyroscopes from STMicroelectronics (like the L3G4200D) resonated in the audible band between 2.5 kHz and 8.2 kHz along their X and Y sensing axes. When airborne sound matches that mechanical resonant frequency, the acoustic energy transfers directly into the silicon lattice. The proof mass vibrates with severe physical amplitude. The sensing comb fingers saturate the ADC to its maximum railing limits, feeding false angular rates into the flight controller. 3. Why the drone drops The drone's flight controller runs a proportional-integral-derivative (PID) loop at 500 Hz to 1,000 Hz to maintain level flight. When sound noise at 8.2 kHz hit the gyroscope, the sensor reported massive erratic rotation spikes. The PID control loop immediately tried to counteract rotation that did not exist. In real-world flight trials, the controller responded by throttling motors to their minimum and maximum limits simultaneously. The drone lost balance and dropped to the ground instantaneously on all 20 test flights. 4. The same physics in the datacenter In 2018, researchers at Michigan and Zhejiang demonstrated the same physical failure mode on enterprise hard disk drives. In a mechanical hard drive, the read/write head floats on an air bearing less than 10 nanometers above spinning magnetic platters, with track widths narrower than 75 nanometers. Playing an audible 5.0 kHz tone at 115.3 dB SPL caused tracking errors on Western Digital drives. Pumping that tone to 117.2 dB SPL forced off-track vibrations so severe that the drive firmware halted all write operations to prevent physical head crashes on the platters. With sustained acoustic noise, operating systems experienced complete I/O timeouts, remounting ext4 file systems as read-only. 5. The physical constraints and modern defenses Acoustic attacks have clear physical limitations: * Inverse square law: In the drone flight trials, researchers attached a small speaker 10 cm directly above the flight controller at 113 dB SPL. Projecting that sound pressure over 30 meters would require a 140 dB directional acoustic device (LRAD). * Axis isolation: Modern InvenSense gyroscopes resonate in the ultrasonic range (above 26 kHz) along the Z-axis only, which flight software easily counteracts by cross-checking magnetometer yaw data. * Mechanical dampening: Wrapping the IMU in dense silicone grommets or acoustic foam blocks airborne sound pressure before it hits the silicon package. * Asymmetric dual-IMU fusion: Pairing two gyroscopes with mismatched mechanical resonant frequencies (such as 8 kHz and 26 kHz) allows flight software to identify and drop the saturated outlier. Software algorithms cannot filter a corrupted sensor measurement if the silicon spring itself is physically vibrating.

JUST IN: Google forced to halt work in Finland after illegally clearing 250,000 trees for a new data center, according to the Guardian. Every tree that occupied the 815-acre site just a few months ago is now gone. The Finnish Licensing and Supervision Authority (LVV) has ordered Google to stop work on the Muhos and Otanmäki sites after it cut down the trees before the environmental impact assessment was completed. Google’s Finland manager, Antti Järvinen, has apologized but says they were acting on "the best understanding we had of the legislation at the time." Muhos and Otanmäki are a $17 billion Google AI project. President Trump has criticized Google for taking the projects overseas instead of investing in the United States.

Been seeing a lot of the “lost in the lake/boating accident” comments in the past few days. I humbly remind you, when you feel the need to lie about losing them, it’s getting close to the time you’re gonna have to start using them. 🔫 For the record, I don’t have a boat, and I ain’t lost shit. And I fully intend to expand my collection of 2A products. 🇺🇸

🚨🚨THE DEMOCRACY FILES / ILLEGITIMACY PLAYBOOK, PART 5: Washington state's Secretary of State weighs in 🚨 The below clip shows Danielle Reiff of DRG pitching her vision to an audience including Washington state's Secretary of State, Steve Hobbs. She explains the red-line scenarios and ultimately a vision of creating a "cross-partisan" government in the wake of an illegitimate federal government. Her three "democratic emergency" scenarios should be familiar by now: · Election meltdown - which includes a widespread public loss of trust in election results · Insurrection Act deployed against protesters · An attempt to delay seating of legitimately elected officials post-election If the federal government becomes illegitimate in her view because of the above, then she proposes a cross-partisan system of transitional governance. She names a cross-partisan board of governors, as well President Obama and President Bush as potential transitional leaders. WA SoS Hobbs replies to Reiff that he has had the exact same conversation with German and Japanese officials regarding how to deal with AfD and right-wing nationalist parties. Now, to be fair, he does not want to commit because, in his words, "we're winning." But he doesn't disagree either. Note also that here and in other recordings, "election meltdown" does not mean some sort of flashy media crisis. It means, simply, a large segment of the population doesn't believe the election results are legitimate.

Scientists found a way to flush Alzheimer’s plaque out of the brain in minutes. Without any surgery and drugs. Your brain has a waste-clearance network called the glymphatic system. It flushes out toxic proteins and dead cells. But it only really activates during deep, slow-wave sleep. If you don't sleep, the trash piles up. Over time, that buildup leads to cognitive decline and Alzheimer's. Until today. Researchers just published a paper proving they can manually trigger this cleaning cycle. Without you ever going to sleep. They used 40.68 MHz ultrashort waves (USW) beamed non-invasively into the brain. Within 10 minutes, the brain's fluid flow rapidly accelerated. The waves artificially synchronized the neurons into a Delta state, the exact frequency of deep sleep. This forced the brain's water channels to open and start flushing out the system. They tested it on mice with traumatic brain injuries and Alzheimer's pathology. The brain swelling dropped. The toxic proteins were cleared out. Cognitive deficits actually improved. No surgery. No massive chemical interventions. Just a frequency.

I've wanted to make this game for almost a decade. After years of building it, breaking it, losing it, redoing it several times, and even abandoning it entirely, the free demo is out on Steam. Very cool! You're an armored bulldozer against a whole town who is out to get you, from the local police to the National Guard. Lots of destruction and explosions. It would mean the world to me if you tried it. Thanks!
