The Zanzibar Hard Fork is getting full ecosystem backing. 🏗️
@binance has officially announced their support for the IoTeX network upgrade on Oct 19. A brief pause on $IOTX deposits/withdrawals will occur at 01:00 UTC for a safe and smooth upgrade.

The Zanzibar hard fork activates on IoTeX mainnet at block 53,533,081 (est. Oct 19, 02:00 UTC).
Delegates & node operators: upgrade to iotex-core v2.5.1 now.
→ Just swap the image: iotex/iotex-core:v2.5.1
→ No config changes. No resync.
→ Nodes still on v2.4.x will fall out of consensus at activation.
Most of the network has already upgraded. Let's get to 100% before the fork.

✅IIP-50: This hardfork activates IIP-50 — a major step toward improving network reliability and delegate accountability by rewarding consistency and enforcing fairness. Delegates who fall below the 85% productivity threshold will see deductions from their self-stake.
The goal: ensure every consensus participant operates high-performance infrastructure that supports the network’s growth, while protecting voters and maintaining stable rewards.

BLS key registration for delegates — setting the foundation for upcoming IIP-52 signature aggregation.
🚨Mainnet activation expected in the next 1–2 weeks — delegates will receive ample notice ahead of the upgrade. Please note that this is a mandatory upgrade for all nodes to stay in sync.

The GENIUS Act was a major step toward national crypto regulation in the US, starting with stablecoins.
But if we want to support the next wave of real-world innovation, DePIN should be next.
Quick TLDR:
DePIN is not about speculation or NFTs. It is real infrastructure powered by everyday people. Communities are deploying antennas, sensors, and hard drives to support networks for wireless, storage, mapping, and more. These systems are already generating over $250 million in revenue across the ecosystem.
But there is still no legal clarity. DePIN projects are growing fast but operating in a regulatory gray zone. That uncertainty puts contributors, users, and developers at risk.
