The Zanzibar Hard Fork is getting full ecosystem backing. 🏗️
@binance has officially announced their support for the IoTeX network upgrade on Oct 19. A brief pause on $IOTX deposits/withdrawals will occur at 01:00 UTC for a safe and smooth upgrade.

The Zanzibar hard fork activates on IoTeX mainnet at block 53,533,081 (est. Oct 19, 02:00 UTC).
Delegates & node operators: upgrade to iotex-core v2.5.1 now.
→ Just swap the image: iotex/iotex-core:v2.5.1
→ No config changes. No resync.
→ Nodes still on v2.4.x will fall out of consensus at activation.
Most of the network has already upgraded. Let's get to 100% before the fork.

Delegates: pls try this version "docker pull iotex/iotex-core:v2.1.2-rc5", it should mitigate this attack.
GM – We’ve observed a coordinated DoS attack against @iotex_io L1, flooding the P2P network with a high volume of transtactions (~10,000 tx/min), designed to congest the network, consume node resources, and slow block production. The attack has been rate-limited at the API layer, and we are reinforcing rate-limiting at the P2P layer. A new release will be out soon.
Impact: The attack slows down transaction propagation and increases node resource consumption (CPU, memory, bandwidth), resulting in slower block production. No impact on assets on-chain at all.

⚠️ Please be mindful that this is still a test PoC.. but we're heading in the right direction. From the image below you can see how, during the 4s interval (x-axis), the block height (y-axis) went from ~105300 to ~105550. That's 250 blocks in 4 seconds... 😉

- Sensible crypto policy is undoubtedly coming to the USA in 2025. You can feel the urgency to get this right from both public and private sectors.
