The biggest difference between an MD and a DO is that a DO spends considerably more time answering the question, "What is a DO?"

‘A Full Circle’: Stargate’s New Podcast Premieres This Week
gateworld.net/news/2026/10/a…
Stargate actor Michael Shanks is launching a new podcast, taking fans on a deep dive behind the scenes of the beloved sci-fi series.
All this hoo-ha about Margaret Hamilton being an ace programmer, but to me she’ll always be the Wicked Witch of the West.
Stuart Fails to Save the Universe is actually funny and good. It is a low-budget, McGuffin centered ,spin-off of Big Bang Theory, but it somehow manages to pull off being interesting and original. Plus it has Riki Lindhome.

Dear @AmazonMGMStudio & @PrimeVideo,
What you have chosen to do with Stargate is a horrible decision.
You greenlit a show made by the original writers and including original actors, continuing the original story while adding new content to it.
The fans were elated. Then you suddenly say "it caters to the fans too much, the fans will like it too much." And you cancel it.
Then you ignore the fans for 4 months. Completely ignored everything. Stargate went HUGE after that news.
Then you pick a woman with no ties to the IP at all. No history, no love, nothing. And you reboot it.
Why? Why are you hitting the fans so hard? Why are you doing this?
We don't want a reboot. We dont want what you want. You work for us, remember?
We pay you. Yet you ignore the entire audience and spit in its face. With a smile.
How dare you. Seriously. How freaking dare you.
Literally every single IP in all of creation has been hijacked by activists and destroyed.
Stargate was all that was left.
"There's no agenda!" Yeah, right.
There's definitely an agenda.
Congratulations, @AmazonMGMStudio. You successfully gave an entire fanbase the biggest middle finger ever.
We get it.
Message received.

Dr. Oz found 'waste' and it happens to be the independent doctor treating you in one visit. Not facility fees. Not hospitals ignoring price transparency. Not MA upcoding. The doctor. Savings: about 0.1% of Medicare. That tells you who has lobbyists and who doesn't.

Stargate will be 30 next year. If Amazon marketed a new series correctly it could come with a massive payout in the form of Merchandise.

It: Welcome to Derry. Review. Acting surprisingly very good. Direction and editing very good. Writing is painfully predictable. Production values excellent. Set mostly in 1960s. Wokeometer 6/10. Yes, 9/10 race focused, but period correct, so downgraded.

Just because Amazon is pursuing Stargate with a new writer does NOT mean they will move forward with it. Even with a finished script, they will likely run into the same fear/uncertainty most studios do when managing major IP.
Keep up the pressure on them... they can always be convinced to double back and take another shot at Gero's show/the existing television canon. Especially if they know the fanbase will accept nothing less. #SaveStargate

An open message to @AmazonMGMStudio
We want Stargate back.
But more importantly, we want you to understand why we want it back.
There is a concern among many long-time fans that the value of the Stargate franchise is being viewed primarily as its basic premise and brand recognition, rather than the incredible universe that has already been built.
Stargate 1994 movie was just the beginning. A small window. Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis and Stargate Universe didn't simply tell variations of the same story. Together, they created a vast mythology, established characters, countless worlds, civilisations, technologies, mysteries and decades of history.
That history isn't baggage.
It's the franchise's greatest asset.
We aren't asking you to simply recreate SG-1. We aren't asking for endless nostalgia or a carbon copy of what came before.
We want something new.
Give us new characters. New teams. New worlds. New threats. New mysteries.
But don't throw away the universe that makes those new stories possible.
There is no reason why a new series can't be accessible to someone discovering Stargate for the first time while still respecting the people who have been watching, supporting and talking about this franchise for decades.
In fact, that would be Stargate's greatest strength.
You don't have to choose between new audiences and existing fans.
You can bring people into the franchise by giving them a compelling new story — while rewarding longtime viewers who understand the history behind the universe.
So please don't look at Stargate and see something that needs to be rebooted simply because it's old.
Look at what you've inherited.
Look at the enormous universe that is already there.
And then ask yourselves:
“Where can we take this next?”
That's the Stargate we want.
Not a replacement.
Not an erasure.
A continuation. An expansion. A new chapter in a universe we already love.
Amazon MGM — please listen to the fans.
Don't reboot the universe. Explore it.

RE: @GamersNexus and @LGUS great journalism disclosing important ways directed marketing impacts privacy. However, I think we all know our mobile phones do the same thing for the same reasons. Have people just come to accept that phones spy, but don’t expect it from a TV?

No one should have a Smart TV connected to the internet. I will not purchase a TV that requires a web connection to display local content, period (and I've never found one that actually did).
Get an Apple TV, or even a Chromecast. But you do not want these devices watching you.
Remember, they have content ID. They know what you're watching on the HDMI inputs, and they report that information back because, as they put it, they own the glass. Not you.
Your LG TV is spying on you, even with no internet connection.
According to @GamersNexus, LG Smart TVs can scan local networks, identify content, and record/transcribe audio in standby.
They also found webOS flaws that could enable remote code execution. malwarebytes.com/blog/privac…
