According to Dana White Wang Cong deserves to be in the title fight because she beat Jessica Andrade, Rose Namajunas, and Alexa Grasso. She also has a win over Shevchenko in a kickboxing fight. He said it during the press conference AND during this media scrum, and nobody pushed back on it.
Natália Silva, who is the rightful top contender in the division, has wins over Andrade, Namajunas, and Grasso.
Wang has a win in kickboxing over Valentina Shevchenko. She is 5-1 in the UFC, with three of those wins coming against opponents who are no longer on the UFC roster.
Why didn't the media say anything when Dana mentioned all of Wang's "accomplishments" when he gave her credit for all that Natália actually did? Weird...

🇨🇦 “The Savage” Gillian Robertson is closing in on title contention 👀🔥
Since moving down to strawweight, she’s been on fire — winning 4 straight, scoring two finishes, earning a POTN bonus, and climbing to #10 in the UFC’s 115lb rankings.
Now her toughest test awaits:
💥 #5 Amanda Lemos vs #10 Gillian Robertson
📅 #UFCVegas113 — Dec 13
A win over Lemos could push her straight into the strawweight title conversation, with Mackenzie Dern currently holding the belt.
Does Gillian get it done?

🔥 It’s #UFCVegas111 fight week! Two exciting top-fifteen clashes this Saturday!
At bantamweight, #10 🇧🇷 Mayra Bueno Silva faces rising star #11 🇵🇹 Jacqueline Cavalcanti, who’s 4–0 since joining the UFC and now looking to break into the top ten at 135 lbs. 💥
At strawweight, division veteran and OG 🇺🇸 Tecia Pennington (#13) looks to make it three straight wins — but 25-year-old 🇧🇷 Denise Gomes (#15), riding a three-fight win streak and fresh off a KO, won’t make it easy. ⚔️
