We had an assault weapons ban from 1994-2004 that prohibited the manufacture or sale for civilian use of certain semi-automatic weapons and banned magazines with 10 rounds or more.
Mass shootings dropped during that decade.
We did it once and should do it again.

The millions of ARs/Assault Weapons is a problem-begin massive buyback program of $1,000 per weapon. No confiscation. But we must prevent access to new weapons/ammo. Ban the sale, resale, import and manufacture of AR-15s/Assault Weapons. This is a public health imperative.
