Thank you for your kind words Mike, but I didn鈥檛 join the Paras (53 Paras were killed by the IRA) and serve for 11 years looking for thanks.
I鈥檓 sure you must have similar thoughts about your service in the Intelligence Corps.
However I鈥檓 extremely proud that in some small way I helped to stop a civil war in Northern Ireland and helped to force the IRA to the negotiating table.
Instead of thanking us it would be far more useful to persuade @Keir_Starmer, #Hermer, @hilarybennmp, @Louise_Jones_MP, @DanJarvisMBE and @AlistairCarns to drop your deeply divisive and unnecessary Troubles Bill.
Stop appeasing IRA/Sinn Fein and do the right thing for our NI Vets and our present and future personnel in our Armed Forces.
