BI: "Adtech has a plan to beat Apple's tracking crackdown — but it has weaknesses" businessinsider.com/apple-tr… by @larakiara.
Good quotes from Zach Edwards (@thezedwards), also from Brave's Pete Snyder (@pes_brave). Browsers + GPC opt out + Apple on side of privacy, we will prevail.

"Brave is by far the most polished, feature-rich, and privacy-focused browser I tested. What's neat is that privacy features work out of the box and don't need additional tweaking."
Thanks for the kind words, @AndroidPolice! 🥰

Leo, the AI assistant in Brave, now offers end-to-end encrypted chat with GLM 5.3 Flash!
Your browser encrypts each prompt before it leaves your device, so only an attested Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) can decrypt it.
It's industry-leading privacy you can verify.

Here's a small article (my first!) on the process for fixing one of the most annoying small bugs we've had since macOS26's release, and how it's now officially fixed at @brave. Hope you like it and it helps other developers who have the bug too 🙏

@Brave grew to over 122M Monthly Active Users and 51M DAU in July 2026.
Brave Search joined Chrome's global default search engine list.
All browsers see a "summer slump," but our growth was stronger than past years, in part thanks to the World Cup driving new user growth.

Sharing in Brave Leo just dropped in Brave Nightly and will make its way to Release channel soon (v1.95.84 or later).
When you share, only the ciphertext is stored for 7 days on the remote server. Brave has no ability to decrypt it. You can revoke a share at any time.
The coolest part is that you share the decryption key as part of the URL (or you can separate it out too via the URL fragment)
URL fragments aren't sent in HTTP requests, so the server sees ciphertext + an opaque id and nothing else.
You can load the shares in any browser.
Credit to Jeremy and @petemill @brave on the implementation.

You can try WebMCP with Leo in Brave Nightly right now 👀
WebMCP lets websites expose actions directly to Leo, so it can interact with sites in a more reliable and useful way instead of just trying to navigate the page like a human.
Give it a try and let us know what you think!
Awesome work hooking up WebMCP w/ Leo by Jay at @brave.
WebMCP allows websites to expose functionality to users, often even new functionality not possible to users browsing the web normally.
I added a few webMCP functions to my website to demo it.
We have some work to do on permission usability, but it's very cool to see it working.
Note: You need to start Brave Nightly with --enable-blink-features=WebMCP (or brave://flags/#enable-webmcp-testing) to see it working for now
