On November 7, 1986, a song from one of the biggest movies of the year reached No. 1 on the British singles chart. That song was “Take My Breath Away” by Berlin, and 40 years later, it's still one of the most recognizable love songs of the 1980s.
Earlier that year, producers Jerry Bruckheimer and Don Simpson were looking for the perfect song for the romantic scenes in Top Gun, starring Tom Cruise and Kelly McGillis. Italian composer Giorgio Moroder and lyricist Tom Whitlock came up with “Take My Breath Away,” and Berlin, led by vocalist Terri Nunn, was chosen to record it.
The song had already reached No. 1 in America that August, and its success helped introduce Berlin to an entirely new audience. But it also marked a turning point for the band, whose earlier hits included “The Metro” and “No More Words.”
In 1987, “Take My Breath Away” won both the Academy Award and Golden Globe for Best Original Song, cementing its place in movie and music history.
Here's Berlin with “Take My Breath Away.” Turn it up and enjoy your evening. 🎶
This man reminds me of a barber or hairdresser braiding hair. That is why I would pay both to do these things. 🤠😘🦋

Stephen Miller has spent the last 22 months very subtly giving the American People a civics lesson.
His consistent overall message has been, that “the President reserves the right to exercise all necessary authorities to protect the Homeland, in times of invasion or incursion”.
Miller has given a very similar form of this answer countless times, and it all revolves around Presidential emergency powers and National Security.
Miller has been steadily reminding the media and the American People, that the Commander in Chief ultimately has the legal authority and RESPONSIBILITY to defend the Homeland and enforce federal law.
All of this was not an accident. We were being briefed. Miller was planting seeds this entire time.
