Yes frustrating. But let me share my experience: I was once invited to a conference and under the invite I saw emails saying that we also need to find female researchers, which is also annoying and causes a loss of self-confidence. Still wonder why I was invited to that 😅1/2
It is unacceptable that in Germany it can still happen to make a 2days event with men only. #dpg how can you let this happen?! #genderequality #stem #WomenInSTEM
The same goes for academics. Researchers can't attend conferences, students' education is disrupted. Two of my students have been waiting for visas for more than 6m. I stopped asking about their visa status so as not to upset them. It’s getting insane.
