Rettungskräfte in Kyjiw konnten den Hund nur noch beruhigen, der bei einem russischen Angriff auf den Dnipro-Bezirk verletzt wurde. Er starb an seinen Verletzungen. Der Hund lebte in der Nähe eines Auchan-Marktes. Dass die Retter nach einem Einschlag auch für ein Tier alles versuchen, zeigt, wie viel Menschlichkeit eine Stadt aufbringt, die jede Nacht um ihre Bewohner fürchten muss.

Вірніше все що від нього залишилось… Ми родиною хотіли б помилитись, але це точно він. Нажаль. Десь там, в купі цегли, лежать мої плакати донецького Шахтаря на всю стіну починаючи десь з 1997-року. Десь там лежать мої речі. Десь там була рідна моя кімната, де я робив шкільні уроки дивлячись в осіннє вікно. Знаєте, коли на вулиці вже холодно, а в хаті тепло і комфортно. Там була велика кухня, де ми всі збирались ввечері і обговорювали за їжею всі новини і робили плани. Шкода, що я вам нікому його більше не покажу. І ми з вами не посидимо там влітку у альтанці. Це був великий світлий будинок, який було видно здалеку… І ось тепер його немає. Його знищили росіяни. У мене в житті ще будуть і квартири і будинки, але рідного дому в Лимані, мого тихого раю, вже не буде ніколи… Бо його знищила Росія!
