Ya really crazy people are overreacting to a suspect being treated at hospital for gunshot wounds, interviewed by police, and now can’t be found.
Add me to the list of people that are confused.
We want to address some confusion surrounding the investigation into the home invasion in the Bridle Path neighbourhood.
Investigators immediately recognized the potential connection between the home invasion and the individual who showed up at hospital with a gunshot wound.
But recognizing a potential suspect and having enough evidence to arrest them are two different things. Suspicion alone isn’t enough. Police need reasonable grounds, supported by evidence, to make an arrest.
We will continue to gather evidence and will go where the evidence takes us. We are grateful for the professionalism, tenacity and commitment of our investigators who continue this work.
Let’s keep the focus where it belongs: finding the outstanding suspects and holding those responsible for this violent home invasion accountable.
they must not know that crime is down
“While we are focused on recovery and supporting one another as a family, we are also deeply concerned about the increasing violence associated with home invasions and the safety of families throughout Toronto,” Morton said.“No family should ever have to experience this. People should be able to sleep peacefully in their homes without fear of armed individuals breaking in and threatening their lives.”

Toronto isn’t broken. It’s stuck.
But we’re on the cusp of change.
Tomorrow, we can choose a city that moves, a city we can afford and a city where we feel safe.
If you want to change the city, you have to change the Mayor.

Federal Liberal MP Jennifer McKelvie was the deputy mayor of Toronto under Olivia Chow.
After working closely with Chow, McKelvie is endorsing Brad Bradford.
Tells you something.
Toronto, we have two days left to vote for change.
Thank you to my friend and former Deputy Mayor of Toronto @mckelvieAJAX for backing our plan to get Toronto moving, keep taxes down and make our streets safer.
Now, let’s finish strong. Get your friends, family and everyone you know out to vote on Monday.

For too long, Toronto has been stuck in gridlock, on waitlists, and paying more while getting less.
Monday is our chance for change. But to change the city, you have to change the mayor.
Vote for change to help Toronto reach its full potential.

“[Chow] has failed to address the acute concerns of residents worried about public drug use and disorder and struggled to sow unity amid growing local strife over faraway wars. She has sometimes seemed to send the message that the modest rate of progress in her first term was good enough or that Queen’s Park and Ottawa alone are to blame for what ails the city.” thestar.com/opinion/editoria…

Last night, my wife had to take the subway late in the evening. I worried about her safety in a way I wouldn’t have in a pre-Chow era. We also had a break-in at our house a few months ago.
I don't follow municipal politics closely, but I know this much: a city can’t be great when its residents worry about their personal safety. By that measure, Chow has failed. I’ll be voting for @BradMBradford.

Scarborough deserves transit that actually gets people where they need to go, and so much more.
Thank you to Scarborough—Guildwood MPP @AndreaHazelll for your endorsement to get Scarborough moving.
On Monday, October 26, vote for real change and real results.

Obviously true. I’ve never seen someone smoke crack before I started taking the Queen street car to work, and now I see it once a week. Taking transit shouldn’t require staring at the ground while addicts scream at the walls. Toronto needs change. Vote for Brad.

Watching @CP24 Mayor's debate. IMO Chow looks uncertain &98 uncomfortable. One observation I'd make overall: Mayor Chow attracted broad support by governing as a pragmatic centrist. As the campaign has tightened these past few days she's lurched left to animate her base.

I now live in Toronto and was not going to comment on the Mayoral race until the Chow campaign turned very negative in the last two weeks. That negativity turned up in my mailbox today. It leads me to share my strong public support for Brad Bradford for many reasons. 1/4
