Ханчжоу -> Лондон (Алибаба -> Фейсбук): провел больше недели в воздухе за год, потренировался с регбистами в Барселоне и Амстердаме, получил оффер не написав кода, прошел 8 onsite собеседований за 8 рабочих дней в 5 разных странах, и в оказался в Лондоне.

И ещё если ездишь по колдобинам и иногда падаешь, то можно телефон разбить легко. А остаться без связи так себе
У велокомпа для меня два главных преимущества: отдельная батарея, которая обычно держит сильно лучше телефона и то, что я могу не видеть уведомление и отвлечься от телефона и реального мира🌚
По поводу аэродинамики - весь про пелотон ездит с ними, а они ватты считают

Yeah, luckily a few months of a break helped a lot :) I still don't regret about my adventure, I learned and explored a lot and met amazing people, but I'm way more conscious about work-life balance now
I worked in Alibaba's HQ in Hangzhou in 2015-2018, it was fun, but challenging
AFAIK I was the first software engineer that didn't speak Chinese, so I survived only because of my colleagues (all systems' interfaces and docs were in Chinese)
At the end 996 made me burnt out though
I played there vs Old Actonians (and grab a few pints with them after), we should be careful with kicks next time
