Not really about Silver himself but still involving him. (Yes I know it's long, sorry.) Most of the hate people (twitter) has for Silver is due to it being a trend of the past. Back when Sonic 06 was released, everyone obviously reacted negatively towards it, but Silver was caught in the crossfire as that was his debut game. Then it became a trend to hate on Silver and treat him like the butt of the joke, the punching bag of the franchise. Recently as well in IDW during the Blackwood arc, there was a lot of people hating on Silver and blaming him for what happens to Blaze and how she is written despite the fact thats a writing issue, not Silver. I've seen people even state that Blackwood is better for Blaze then Silver, like bruh. They are choosing the mind controlling incel over the white boy. Thankfully Silver is starting to get the love he deserves recently, but there are still people that hate him because he is just there in a story rather then how Silver was written in that story. Example is Silver in the Archie comics when he was trying to find the traitor in the Freedom Fighters. This is a good reason to be annoyed at Silver because he was basically just pointing fingers with little to no concrete evidence, even pushing Sonic to his limits. Not saying everyone should like Silver, but Silver shouldn't be blamed for a story being bad, give that criticism to the writers.
