Ramon Ortiz was 40 when his elbow gave out on a pitch in San Diego in June 2013.
It was his last MLB game, and the crowd stood for him 💔

Kerry Wood was 20 years old and making his fifth big league start. 20 strikeouts, one hit, zero walks. He tied the nine inning record Roger Clemens set twice and Scherzer later matched in 2016. Hard to find a better single game by anyone.

Lamelo on Lonzo calling him out for the travel that wasn't called:
"He hatin. He hatin. See, I gotta give him a call right now, cause with the family, he know what you supposed to do. Even if I'm wrong, I'm right. That's how it go, I gotta teach that boy"

The fact that he stands by it is even worse for me. Infuriating.

Should #Argos have ran down the clock?
Argos head coach Mike Miller's strategy on the drive before Ottawa's winning touchdown is open to debate.
With the Argos down two and the ball at the Ottawa four-yard line, Isaiah Smith ran it in for a TD with 30 seconds left.
Instead of doing that, the Argos could have let time tick down by kneeling the ball and attempting a potential game-winning field goal that would have been a chip shot.
Miller stood by his call afterward. - @Mkor1980

99% vs maybe 75%? Very significant difference. Miller should own the mistake instead of doubling down. That’s accountability and a coach must have it to demand it from his charges.

I agree with that. Some CFL rules are rooted in a different time when Canadian players needed “help”

Hey man, i promise you we get it. You didn’t take school seriously, you were drunk and on drugs all the time. In the nfl it was the same. I promise we get it
Johnny Manziel says he drank lean thinking his birthday gave him a free pass from drug testing, only to fail a test the very next day
“I’ll never forget mine. Shout out to Dwayne Bowe. 2015 in Cleveland, on my birthday, we went out, and he mixed up some lean, a couple cups of lean.”
“And of course, I didn’t think they would test me the day after my birthday. I come in, like, December 7th, yada yada, fail my second test for promethazine.”
Albert Belle argues steroid-era players belong in the Hall of Fame, saying guys mostly used them for recovery and still had to execute
Albert Belle: "I could've gotten it, but at the time, I weighed 225. I didn't think I could perform at a high level weighing 250 or 260. I didn't want to put on that much weight because I didn't know the side effects. I was already putting up 40 HRs and 120 RBIs, so I was happy with that."
Albert Belle: "Most of the guys doing it, it was for recovery. It is such a beating on the body playing game after game. At some points, you had to play 28 straight games before you had an off day, so guys just wanted to recover faster."
Albert Belle: "No matter if you were throwing 90, 95, or 100, you still got to execute. If you're bigger, you still got to hit the ball."
Albert Belle: "I think those guys should be in the Hall of Fame. If people had a problem with it, they should've brought it up a lot sooner instead of waiting until it gets to a congressional hearing."

11 years sober! One of the best decisions I ever made on this day in 2015. Grateful for everyone who has supported me along the way to regain control and wake up every day a better version of myself as a father, husband, and friend. For anyone out there battling, just know you’re not alone and please speak up. There is a light at the end of the tunnel 🙏🏾

Pete Rose shares tons of baseball knowledge with A-Rod and Frank Thomas. It’s a 6 minute video, but I promise you, it’s the best thing you’ll see about Pete Rose today.
