Update: Surgery went perfectly, all of us are back home, and she is well on her way to a full recovery.
Praise God from whom all blessings flow!
Thank you for your prayers.
My wife took our oldest (12) to the ER at 2:30 AM. Doctors confirmed our suspicions: appendicitis. She'll have surgery today.
Just have to say: we are so blessed by our family and church! The pouring out of love, help, and prayer has been immediate and overwhelming.
The bride of Christ is truly a gift. I'm extremely grateful for God's means of grace in its many forms. SDG.
If you would, please pray for an uneventful surgery and quick recovery. We would be so thankful. 🙏

I just heard about the Red Barron man and I'm floored.
His anger, his family, @redbaronpizza's response, and the Gofundme
Every working man felt his words in their bones. The long hours, the kids at home, all of it
I hope he gets $1M+, pays off his house, & enjoys the extra

If you want to end slavery, preach the gospel.
Or…
You can be like William Wilberforce and do both: preach the gospel and work to end slavery.
Why not do the same with pursuing a nation that promotes true religion: Christianity? Preach the gospel and work toward a government that submits to Christ.
This is really great.
Now... start dismantling the leviathan that our federal government has become.
I took the family to DC in May and we marveled at the sheer scale of some of government buildings there. Marble, stone, beautiful architecture... and the monuments and museums! It's truly a stunning sight.
Then I realized: some of them are not far from being full-on temples for worshipping secularism and the state.
I get that we are a large and prosperous country; we need governance. But the federal government has become more than our founders envisioned.
Pare it down. A lot.

Young men are being told that love of people, place, and inheritance is itself morally suspicious. God’s Word never told them to become men from nowhere so they could love their neighbor.
You were born into a house somebody else built. Your fathers arrived first, and so did the language, the churches, the laws, the wars, the sins, and the graves. You did not make this nation. You were handed a debt, not an entitlement.
Inheritance bestows obligations. You are a steward standing between your grandfather and your grandson, and both have a right to something from you. Conserve what your fathers did faithfully. Confess what they did wickedly. Repair what they ruined. Build what the next generation will need. Do it all for the Lordship of Christ.
God “made from one man every nation of mankind” and set the boundaries of their dwelling place, that they should seek Him (Acts 17:26-27). Love your people. Keep your borders. Perform the stewardship Christ laid on you.
Pastors, give young men that vision before they take their questions somewhere poisonous.
Welp, now me and the boys will have to Patriarchy even harder
