Caitlin Clark is being simultaneously sabotaged by:
*the media
*the WNBA at a League level
*the refs
*her own teammates
*her own coach
And she's still putting up MVP numbers.
Truly unprecedented in sports history.
Angel Reese follows up a dominant
8 pt, 2/12 Game 4 with an equally dominant 8 pt, 2/8 Game 5.
Beast mode 😤😤😤
Finals MVP form
44 FG attempts so far for the Valkyries.
Only 3 FT attempts (vs. ATL's 11)
They are playing (and winning!) vs. the Atlanta Dream AND the officials. The FT advantage is now +56 through less than 5 games 😂
"Reese crossing over Thornton, taking it herself..."
😂
Angel showing you why she is the WNBA's season-record holder for getting her shot blocked (97 times!) in Game 5 of the WNBA Finals
Wow, the quality of basketball from GS vs ATL in the WNBA Finals is pure 🔥🔥🔥
Particularly, this 4-minute stretch: beautiful basketball!
Miss, miss, miss, blocked, airball, missed layup, miss, miss, miss, MAKE, miss, miss, turnover, miss, miss, turnover
Angel gets away with murder 😂
She has Aja's offensive whistle on the defensive / rebounding side, it's ridiculous.
As Sandy Brondello perfectly described, she's a protected species out there!
Indiana Fever offseason update:
GM Amber Cox FIRED 🔥
Team President Kelly Krauskopf RESIGNED.
Stephanie White will be getting fired or resigning next, no doubt.
Whoever comes into those positions will want a head coach whose offensive game plan doesn't clash with its generational star, Caitlin Clark.
Translation: The Indiana Fever might actually look like a professional basketball organization next year!
There have been zero wnba players in history that have averaged 20/8 for a whole month and she just did it for the year
Also she had 13 20/10 games this season which is more than any player has had in their entire career.
The fact Rhyne Howard 💩 on her loyal fan who got excited and posted a public pic of her before she got to do it, and was literally brought to tears.
Then she adopted the nickname “The Permission” over it, tells you everything you need to know about this WNBA.

Are you kidding me 😂😂 — Angel Reese blows 2 point blank, wide open layups under the rim. Pathetic.
Is she choking right now?
Through 4 games in the WNBA Finals:
ATL Dream have shot +48 more FTs, an average of 12 extra FTs per game, winning the FT battle in every game, with a high of +18 in game 4.
🤔
The GS Valkyries two best players, Veronica Burton and Gabby Williams, shot an awful combined 11 for 38 from the field, and 2 for 13 from 3pt in Game 4.
The officiating was even more lopsided this game, with a +18 FT disparity for ATL.
And somehow, GS still won - INCREDIBLE!
Angel Reese continues her WNBA finals dominance with another HUGE game despite the Dream losing:
8 pts
2/12 FG
6 Turnovers
WNBA Finals MVP numbers for sure!
Steph Curry has just started his age 39 season on a HEATER
1st Quarter:
16 pts
7/9 FG
2/3 3pt
0 FT attempts despite multiple fouls on shots
2 PF called against Curry on weak touch fouls
The NBA officials really do treat Steph Curry like he's Caitlin Clark!
Wemby's defense is GENERATIONAL.
We all know this. But he just keeps demonstrating it.
In 35 years of watching basketball, I've never seen offenses morph for a defensive player like they do with Wemby.
For as bad as Wemby played last night, the Spurs were -2 with Wemby on the floor and -12 without Wemby on the floor
In approx 30.9 possessions off the floor, Spurs were -12 or -39.9 net rating off.
Wemby net rating ON OFF: +37.2
One game sample but it frequently happens and shows Wembys defense is bigger impact his offense.
Fact-checking this:
True.
Dan Patrick says Larry Bird was a better player than LeBron James 👀
"Larry Bird at his best was better than LeBron James. And I truly believe that."

Wilt and Kareem's games translate to any era of NBA basketball and equal Bonafide-superstar.
Bill Russell's game translates as a Ben Wallace/Dikembe Mutumbo type.
I'll never understand the argument for having him high on all-time lists for winning rings in an 8-team league.
Despite it being common practice for the WNBA for at least the past 6 seasons, it's turned into big news NOW.
Why?
Because no one watched or cared about the WNBA before Caitlin Clark 😂
It's been common practice for many WNBA teams over at least the past six seasons to leave the court right before "The Star-Spangled Banner" is played. trib.al/rNKEj1d

The WNBA is like a bratty little trust fund baby whose daddy is the NBA.
They act out, they throw tantrums, they create spectacles, and frankly, they're a little embarrassing, so they're largely ignored.
Until they're not. Case in point? The last two weeks. Instead of talking about the gravity of a second year expansion team making it to the finals, or a player having a historic game, we're talking about another complex social, political and cultural issue.🤦🏼♀️
They make this so much more difficult than it has to be.
