Wes Rucker was one of the loudest voices calling for the return of the Beer Barrel. 🍻
We may have lost his voice, but his impact will never be forgotten. 🧡l

This is so crazy. There are former Rays players, currently on other MLB teams’ rosters, openly and in person, cheering for the Rays. I love this team so damn much and I can’t wait for the day that I watch us lift the World Series trophy

Worst case scenario, as I told my kid today, we get to watch our local @MLB team, predicted to finish last in their division, play one more baseball game tonight — on Oct. 27. Millions of fans of this beautiful game only wish they could say that. #RaysUp #Rays #WorldSeries

Trivia
Before it was Tropicana Field, it had the best name ever for a major league sports venue:
The Thunderdome.
It was home to the @TBLightning from 1993-96.
It still has the NHL record for the most people to ever attend a playoff game --28,183 against the Flyers in 1996.

We literally made the World Series with one of the smallest payrolls in the game. TF out of here.

Taco Bell not doing “Steal a Base, Steal a Taco” for the World Series is a recession indicator.

Genuine answer.
The Brewers have been around for over a half a century with a rich history. Think Robin Yount and Paul Molitor. Like the Rays, they have never won a WS.
Tampa Bay is a top vacation destination area. So much to do. People come here all the time to go to our beaches, golf, catch a local sporting event to root for their home town team.
More importantly, based on census data, there are about 50,000 to 60,000 people from Wisconsin that have transplanted here. Imagine growing up a Brewers fan and having the opportunity to see your hometown team win a WS. What do you do? You do everything in your power to snag tickets. Have a yard sale. Whatever. You are going to the game(s). And for the record, it was about a 70/30 Rays - Brewers split last night. About what you would expect. Expecting even more Brewers fans in the Trop tonight.

I feel like I’ve never seen a group of active players support a former team like I’ve seen with former Rays players in this year’s playoffs

Mike Tomlin ain’t fuckin around on TV. Absolutely LOVE how candid he is being. Industry went way too hard towards fluff - just afraid to piss people & sponsors off… but Tomlin is bringing REAL analysis back, where you are actually honest & upfront about the things you are saying & presenting
