Why judge Biafra with Nigeria template?.. Always provoking one to be insulting.
As a woman, just find a way to leave this country. I don’t even want to imagine what life would be like for our women in a Biafra. Look at how women are treated in Nigeria, where men already feel entitled to control our lives, bodies and choices. Now imagine those same men having a country of their own, with the power to determine the laws, culture and values that govern us. I fear that the freedom they are fighting for could come at the expense of our women.

Selfish fellows.
You can’t be living abroad and then hold a position in a central-level organization. I challenge him (Festus Osifo) and the Nigerian immigration service to prove whether he has been in this country for four to five months this year -President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Joe Ajaero, challenges TUC president to prove his presence in Nigeria #CTVMorningBrief

They called it the "Third World" to make you feel like you came third. But you were not late. You were taken from. Your labor built the factories that built the machines that built the industrial economies that then turned around and called you "undeveloped." Your land grew the cotton, the sugar, the rubber, the cocoa that fed the capital accumulation of the "First World" before the First World had decided to call itself that. Your knowledge, of crops, of navigation, of medicine, of metallurgy, was extracted, renamed, and claimed. Your people were moved across oceans as instruments of production and their descendants are still, in many cases, living with the specific material consequences of that movement. None of this is grievance for its own sake. Grievance without analysis is just pain. This is analysis. The analysis says: the distance between the wealthy world and the poor world is not natural, not cultural, not civilizational. It is the accumulated result of specific choices, made by specific people, over specific centuries, for specific reasons. Which means it is not permanent. What was made can be unmade. What was taken can be accounted for, even if it cannot be returned exactly. History doesn’t run backwards. Restructured. Refused. The majority of humanity did not consent to the terms currently governing the world. It is becoming aware, slowly and then quickly, that it never had to.

The Supreme Court Governor knows he has shed so much blood. The human lives wasted in his government is alarmingly high.
Did you notice how Hope Uzodinma played mature politics today? He didn’t interfere; he provided a level playing field and even gave Peter Obi security to move around. That’s politics without bitterness! Thanks to my Owerri people! The welcome was loud and clear!

The word "Self-determination" translates to "Nnwere onwe" in Igbo. This is the right of an individual to make their own choices, or of a Nation or Group of people to freely choose their own political status, government, and economic or cultural path without outside interference.

Maternal mortality ratio in Nigeria is around 993 per 100,000 live births. Where did you get these figures?
In the whole of Japan, 23 women died from child birth in 2023. In Nigeria, it was about 75,000 women who lost their lives. This maternal deaths in Nigeria is not a natural phenomenon, it was mainly caused by poor health facilities and professionals. No Japanese woman would agree with you that pregnancy is a de@th sentence, it is only those from underprivileged countries like Nigeria that promotes this claim.

White folks have weak DNA... Africans have a stronger DNA to pull through adversity. What Africans need is to put into use our manufacturing and productive aspect of our gray matter and nobody will match us.
Do you know how absurd it is that 11,334 people died by suicide in Germany in just ONE YEAR??? Not 1,000. No! ELEVEN THOUSAND, THREE HUNDRED AND THIRTY-FOUR PEOPLE! 💔 Let me break it down for you. Germany has a population of approximately 83.5 million people. In 2025, 11,334 people died by suicide. That's approximately 31 people every single day! Of these, 7,846 were men and 3,488 were women. Think about that for a moment. Let those figures sink in. A country with one of the strongest economies in the world, excellent infrastructure, an advanced healthcare system and a relatively high standard of living is recording thousands of suicide deaths every year. And it's not Germany alone. Japan recorded 20,320 suicide deaths in 2024. 💔 South Korea recorded 14,872 in the same year, its highest figure in 13 years. Its suicide rate was 29.1 per 100,000 people, one of the highest among developed countries. Now, what do these countries have in common? They are among the world's leading producers of automobiles, technological innovations and engineering marvels. Germany gives us Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Volkswagen and Porsche. Japan gives us Toyota, Honda, Nissan and Mitsubishi. South Korea gives us Samsung, Hyundai and Kia. These are countries that have contributed enormously to technological advancement and industrial development. Yet, they are simultaneously battling serious suicide and mental-health challenges. How does one begin to reconcile these realities? Let's bring Nigeria into this conversation. We live in a country where: 1. The economy constantly puts people under pressure. 2. Bad governance makes everyday life unnecessarily difficult. 3. Infrastructure is in terrible condition. 4. Access to quality healthcare remains a serious challenge. 5. Millions struggle to afford basic necessities. 6. People are stressed, frustrated and constantly struggling to survive. Yet, despite all these challenges, Nigerians have an extraordinary capacity to keep pushing! We still have that indomitable spirit. We hustle, we improvise, we adapt, we relocate to Japa and we keep looking for opportunities to excel. Why is that? 🤔 Is it because we haven't had the luxury of experiencing the kind of comfort available in Germany, Japan and South Korea? Is it because we are still struggling to attain certain standards of living that people in those countries already enjoy and strive to experience it for ourselves? Is survival itself our biggest motivation? Because I find it genuinely difficult to reconcile the impressive economic and technological achievements of these countries with the scale of their suicide problems.💔 We in Nigeria often envy the lifestyles of Germans, Japanese, South Koreans and Europeans generally. We watch their movies, drive their automobiles, use their products and admire their infrastructure. We look at their economies, public transportation, healthcare systems and general standard of living and wonder: "GOD WHEN?" We imagine that life must be wonderful over there. But is that the complete picture? Have we been looking at only one side of the story? Has the Internet been giving us a carefully packaged version of what life in these societies actually looks like? Is the Internet lying to us? Is the Media lying to us? What are we missing? Could it be that economic prosperity, technological advancement and material comfort don't necessarily translate into happiness, fulfilment or emotional well-being? Because, honestly, this thing dey burst my brain.
