Two brothers once trained to heal people. Today, one fights crime as an IPS officer, while the other serves as an IAS officer.
Born and raised in Ludhiana, Punjab, Dr Ajay Pal Sharma and Dr Amit Pal Sharma took different routes into public service. Ajay studied dental surgery before becoming a 2011-batch IPS officer. Five years later, his younger brother Amit, an MBBS graduate from Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, joined the IAS in 2016.
Their father, Amarjit Pal, is a Punjabi lecturer at a government school, while their mother, Prem Sharma, raised the family. Both brothers received their early education in Ludhiana.
Today, their work reflects two sides of public service. Ajay has served in Shamli, Jaunpur, Noida and Rampur, earning recognition for his tough approach to law and order. He also played a key role in the crackdown on Atiq Ahmed’s mafia gang in Prayagraj. He currently serves as Additional Police Commissioner (DIG) in the Prayagraj Police Commissionerate.
Amit, meanwhile, has served as Municipal Commissioner of Meerut, Chief Development Officer of Sonbhadra, SDM Sadar of Ghaziabad and Vice Chairman of the Prayagraj Development Authority. Before becoming District Magistrate of Kaushambi, he also helped accelerate development work in Prayagraj.
For two brothers, perhaps there is no greater shared achievement than building lives dedicated to serving the nation.

ముందు #Maheshbabu తో #GunturKaram.. ఇప్పుడు వెంకీతో #AadarshaKutumbamAK47.. ఈ రెండు సినిమాల్లో మొద‌లైన‌పుడు ఉన్న క‌థ వేరు. చివరికి తెర‌పైకి వ‌చ్చింది వేరు. ఈ మార్పుల వ‌ల్ల ఆల‌స్యం, హ‌డావుడి త‌ప్ప‌లేదేమో. మొద‌లుపెట్టాం కాబ‌ట్టి, ఒక టైం లోప‌ల పూర్తి చేయ‌క త‌ప్ప‌దు అని ఏదో అలా లాగించేసిన సినిమాల్లాగే అనిపిస్తాయి.
రెండు సినిమాల్లో ఎంట‌ర్టైన్మెంట్ ఉంది. టైంపాస్ చేయిస్తాయి. కానీ త్రివిక్రమ్ స్థాయి రైట‌ర్ నుంచి మ‌రీ ఇంత బేసిక్ రైటింగ్ ఎక్స్‌పెక్ట్ చేయం. గుంటూరు కారంలో అయినా ఎమోష‌న్ ఉంది కానీ.. ఆదర్శ కుటుంబంలో మాత్రం ఎమోష‌న్ రవ్వంతైనా గుండెకు తాక‌దు. మొత్తం ఒక కృత్రిమ ప్ర‌పంచాన్ని చూస్తున్న ఫీలింగ్. కుటుంబం, బంధాలు అంటూ ప్రి రిలీజ్ ఈవెంట్లో ఇంత బారు స్పీచ్ ఇచ్చిన త్రివిక్రమ్.. సినిమాలో ఫ్యామిలీ సెట‌ప్‌తో రాబ‌ట్టిన ఎమోష‌న్ జీరో.
ఇలాంటి లాజిక్ లెస్ సెట‌ప్.. కృత్రిమ‌మైన క్యారెక్ట‌ర్లు.. సిల్లీ సిచువేష‌న్లు.. సాధారణ సన్నివేశాలు సన్నివేశాలు.. ఆయ‌న్నుంచి ఊహించ‌లేం. ఇది అసలు త్రివిక్రమ్ సినిమాలా కాదు.. అనిల్ రావిపూడి మూవీలా అనిపించింది. రావిపూడి అంటే తనకి ఉన్న పరిమితుల్లో సినిమా తీస్తాడు. దానికి ప్రిపేర్ అయ్యే వెళ్తాం. కానీ త్రివిక్రమ్ కి అపరిమిత జ్ఞానం ఉండి కూడా సరిగా వాడకుండా.. ఎఫర్ట్ పెట్టకుండా తేలిగ్గా సినిమాలు లాగించేస్తున్నాడనే బాధ. పైగా హింట్ ఇస్తే అల్లుకుపోయే వెంకీకి.. ర‌చ‌యిత‌గా నువ్వు నాకు న‌చ్చావ్, మ‌ల్లీశ్వ‌రి లాంటి క్లాసిక్స్ ఇచ్చిన ద‌ర్శ‌కుడు ఇలాంటి సాధార‌ణ‌మైన సినిమా ఇవ్వ‌డం వెరీ డిజ‌ప్పాయింటింగ్.
త్రివిక్రమ్ ఎంత మొక్కుబడిగా బండి లాగించేశాడో చెప్పడానికి ఉదాహరణ.. మ్యూజిక్ డైరెక్టర్ని మార్చడం. ముందు ఈ సినిమాకు హర్షవర్ధన్ రామేశ్వర్ ను తీసుకున్నాడు. అతనుంటే కొంచెం కొత్త పాటలు, స్కోర్ వినేవాళ్ళమేమో. కానీ కొత్తవాడైతే పక్కన కూర్చోవాలి, చెప్పాలి, చేయించుకోవాలి. టైమ్ పెట్టాలి. అంత ఓపిక లేకే అతన్ని తీసేసి డప్పుల వీరుడికి పని అప్పగించి రిలాక్స్ అయినట్లు ఉన్నాడు. ఇక్కడ కూర్చుని ఎన్నైనా అంటారు, డైరెక్టర్ కి తెలీదా తన సినిమాకు ఎవరు కరెక్టో అనొచ్చు. కానీ ఇప్పుడు ఆదర్శ కుటుంబానికి తమన్ ఏం గొప్ప మ్యూజిక్ ఇచ్చేశాడని? ఈ మాత్రం ఔట్ పుట్ హర్షవర్ధన్ ఇవ్వాలేడా? తన నుంచి #SandeepreddyVanga గొప్ప ఔట్ పుట్ తీసుకోవట్లేదా?
ఏదో హాలీవుడ్ మూవీ నుంచి #Blast టీమ్ తీసుకున్న పాయింటునే త్రివిక్రమ్ కూడా కాపీ కొట్టాడని.. రెంటికి పోలిక ఉండడంతో మధ్యలో స్క్రిప్టు మార్చి రీషూట్లు చేస్తున్నారని వార్తలు వచ్చినపుడు నమ్మలేదు. కానీ సినిమా చూస్తే నిజమే అనిపిస్తోంది. కాన్సెప్ట్ మీద కాపీ ముద్ర.. పాటల మీదా మరకలు.. ఇంతా చేసి చివరికి ఇచ్చింది వెరీ యావరేజ్ ప్రోడక్ట్. త్రివిక్రమ్ నుంచి ఆశించేది ఇది కాదు.
త్రివిక్రమ్ ప‌నైపోయింద‌ని ఇప్పుడు, ఎప్పుడూ అన‌లేం కానీ.. కానీ ఆయ‌న మ‌న‌సు పెట్టి రాయ‌ట్లేదు.. ఎఫర్ట్ పెట్టి తీయ‌ట్లేదు అన్న‌ది మాత్రం స్ప‌ష్టం.
#Godofwar లో అయినా ఇవి రెండూ ఉండాల‌ని, ఉంటాయ‌ని ఆశ.
(ఇంత చెప్పా కదా అని ఆదర్శ కుటుంబం ఎంట‌ర్టైన్ చేయ‌ద‌ని కాదు. పైసా వ‌సూల్ కామెడీ ఉంది అందులో. వెంకీ, స‌త్య.. ఈ ఇద్ద‌రి కోస‌మైనా చూడొచ్చు. కానీ వెంకీ, త్రివిక్రమ్ కాంబో నుంచి ఆశించే మూవీ మాత్రం ఇది కాదు)

#Jailer2 would’ve grossed ₹1,200–1,300 Cr if it had flexible ticket pricing. #2Point0 had flexible ticket pricing, whereas #LEO benefited from early morning shows. For #Jailer2, there were no early morning shows, and nearly 90% of the locations did not have fan shows, except for one or two areas. Shows started only after 9 AM, which affected the film’s overall gross by around ₹5–6 Cr. However, following the new government rule introduced by #ThalapathyVijay / #CMVijay, theatres can now screen early morning shows for seven days. Which benefitted the movie.Otherwise, multiplex chains like PVR wouldn’t have been able to run early morning shows.
While I was out walking, my friend called and told me that his daughter had conveyed her first-day premiere experience of #Jailer2 to him. She said the 1st half was superb, the 2nd half had a little lag, but the climax was excellent. Overall, she felt it was greater than #Jailer.
The very next minute, I sent a voice message to Rajini Sir, telling him that the film was extraordinary. I also told him that Kollywood audiences generally have a mindset that sequels are weaker than the original films, but #Jailer2 had broken that perception. I told him he had taken a risk, and it would turn out to be a blockbuster.
Within minutes, he replied with a voice message saying, “Romba Romba Sandhosham Mani Sir. Nalla Irukku. Very Good, Very Good!” I had conveyed the success message even before the Tamil Nadu release!
Generally, #Rajinikanth Sir expects a report from me. From #Thalapathy release. I share a close relationship with him, and he usually calls me to discuss things. In recent times, we have been communicating through voice messages, and he generally replies within 30 minutes with a voice message of his own.
He has remained the same person from the days of #Muthu to #Thalapathy. He understands his commercial star and knows that the people investing money in his films must make a profit. He doesn’t want to do experimental films that could result in losses.
#Jailer2 is a major success. Just look at #NamoNarayanan’s character. He makes fun of #Rajinikanth, a superstar who has ruled the industry for 50 years, and Rajini Sir is comfortable accepting it.
In #Padayappa, Senthil makes fun of Rajini. In #Sivaji, Vivek makes fun of him. In #Chandramukhi, Vadivelu makes fun of him. Despite having such a massive image, Rajini Sir creates space for other actors and allows them to shine. At the same time, he has his own image-defining moments.
Of course, no actor can deliver 100% success. There will always be failures. Nowadays, if another artist delivers a successful performance, some heroes are reluctant to accept it, perhaps thinking, “What if he scores more than me?”
But in #Jailer2, #NamoNarayanan’s character receives tremendous applause. We must understand that filmmaking is about surrendering ourselves to the story and performing realistically rather than worrying about individual image or screen presence.

#Rajinikanth and #Nelson come together to deliver an absolute 90s style mass masala entertainer.
It’s an unapologetic commercial film that picks from #Jailer left and takes the story forward. This time there are new villains. SJ Suryah leads the pack and he is a riot. Vidya Balan brings in freshness to the smugglers set up; it’s good to see her in this avtar. Veteran Mithun Chakraborty brings weight to the story.
However it’s Rajinikanth who leads the show, and how, and is practically in every scene for the film. He is especially starry and massy in the second half.
In fact the first half could have had lesser comedy and still would have been as entertaining. Also, the item songs are forced. However the scenes leading the interval block are perfect and post that there is no looking back. That’s why the second half is fast paced like a bullet and the cameo of Hrithik Roshan is superbly placed.
All of this is amazingly complimented by Aniruddh’s BGM which is a thoroughly accompanying partner of the film’s narrative; it fits in so well.
As for Sun Pictures, they have a blockbuster at hand here. The film will do well in Hindi too.
Go, watch, and have some full-on whistles and claps time in theatres! You will enjoy for sure.
