Often times when someone is criticizing you by saying “you’re too sensitive” or “you’re too much” their subconscious is saying “this is too honest” and “I’m scared of this truth.”

“Old George Orwell got it backward. Big Brother isn’t watching. He’s singing and dancing. He’s pulling rabbits out of a hat. Big Brother’s busy holding your attention every moment you’re awake. He’s making sure you’re always distracted. He’s making sure you’re fully absorbed. He’s making sure your imagination withers. Until it’s as useful as your appendix. He’s making sure your attention is always filled. And this being fed, it’s worse than being watched. With the world always filling you, no one has to worry about what’s in your mind. With everyone’s imagination atrophied, no one will ever be a threat to the world.”

If they don’t recognize you as their person, they’re not your person.
If someone is for you, they will not require convincing, auditioning, or performing.

I don't know who needs to hear this but: it's time to be brave. Don't stay quiet. Don't think you're going to offend someone. Or get fired. Or be ostricized from some of your friends.
You can't change how you think until you say something new. Speaking comes first. So speak.

For ages it was assumed that only the young brain is plastic (can change). Incredible adult plasticity data from Merzenich, Recanzone, Kilgard et al. was ignored (& suppressed). We now know that the adult brain is quite plastic. It requires: intense focus, followed by deep rest.

What is the truth?
It's not some story about something that happened to you in the past. You describe how things are for you right now, or you are not telling the truth.
Truth can only be told if you are present in the telling and present to the person to whom you are talking.
