You’re telling me Australia batted through a whole day extremely competently & responsibly without any major collapses? Like just a normal day of test cricket. Have I woken up in 2006?

First test since 2011 that Smith, Warner and Khawaja aren’t playing and we’re 4/330. So refreshing to see Australia bat well

The thing with Marnus is he’ll go back to Sheffield Shield and average about 80. So fkn infuriating

Very hard to defend on a road though. Got to go back to square 1

I reckon if a guy has 11,000 test runs and played professional cricket his whole life, he might have a clue on whether he’s ready to play 👍
"My understanding is there was a significant amount of frustration from within the (Australian) touring party, and in some cases anger that Smith decided not to play." @tommorris32 has the latest on Steve Smith not playing in Cape Town... #SAvAUS

Yep cheers lads. Turns out you can just switch it on at lunch and pick up 10/170
0/140 at lunch. Has anyone thought of using some sort of abrasive material? Don’t reckon anyone would notice

Yeah wow, if it goes badly against Chelsea I expect to see Wilcox sacked
🚨 BREAKING: Michael Carrick set to be given time to turn things in around. Expected to be in charge for Chelsea. Training is taking place as usual. #MUFC now looking for a response at Stamford Bridge.

I think Australia should just refuse to play in Cape Town. Problem solved

The Liberal candidate for South Coast thinks that yesterday’s investment in rail was a reaction to the dumped T4 timetable. Do these people have any idea how long it takes to develop policy?

A $1.5m review and $8.5m business case for the South Coast Line began in March 2023 and has been ongoing ever-since. Not to mention that all major party election policies are costed by the Parliamentary Budget Office

> Govt dumps T4 timetable on Saturday, Liberal Party shills on here: “there’s no long-term rail plan!!” > Govt announces investment in regional rail on Monday > The same people: “Noooo, it’s not a Metro!”

I almost certainly won’t vote Labor next March but this dichotomy is insane. A Metro will open on Friday, next year and in 2032. People in the outer-suburbs and regions deserve some $$$ too.

Okay what the fuck???? Did not expect this to happen so quickly
Replying to @samlutd
Less trains and the status quo is not a win for anyone. The government should duplicate Sutherland-Hurstville or at the very least build an extra platform at Wolli Creek so trains can run on the outer track

Minns is investing in rail? I’m shocked. Duplication b/w Sutherland and Hurstville will be transformational - not just for the South Coast but for the T4 line!! Will be costly with lots of earthworks through Janalli and Como but this is huge

Hearing some people on the TL unsure about $$$ on electrification from Kiama to Bomaderry but there’s 110k people that live in the Shoalhaven, this will allow these people to access rail and a later extension to over the river to Nowra
