I swear people will spend anything before learning what their customers actually need
A single viral post brought Stan 1,200 signups with $0 marketing spend.
Meanwhile, we previously burned over $2,000,000 trying to force growth through paid ads.
Paid marketing masks weak product-market fit. Organic distribution forces you to understand your customer workflow so deeply that your content spreads on its own.
Yall deserve one season where everything actually goes right

2025: 1-5 start, Lamar injuries all season
2026: Lamar injuries, multiple QBs playing
I’m tired boys. Very tired 😭😭😭
I love when a growth strategy actually connects all the dots
the biggest issue with most marketing agencies is that they dont understand or they dont see the incentive in going deeper into product loops, icp, funnels and looking at distribution in a holistic manner - they act like short term task junkies and eventually end up doing the bare minimum
distribution is not just a launch or amp or ugc or ads or a referral loop or seo or cold outreach - it is a coordinnated motion wherein each intervention feeds to the larger growth flywheel
and trust me - add a tinge of data + logic and you will see those numbers soaring

How I'd spend $1,000 on UGC if I were starting today:
$300 on creators
- 2 creators for 5 hours each at $30 an hour
- 1 body and 20-30 hooks per format
- 100+ videos once your templates are dialed in
$100 on editing
- 1 editor running everything through 1 capcut template
- every file named so you know exactly which hook won
$600 on ad spend
- launch your 20 strongest videos
- give each one a few days before you judge it
- move spend toward the hooks that are working
What I'd film first:
- 1 body built around the biggest problem your product solves
- hooks spread across 4-5 different angles
- the "I messed up" format as a second body
- 10 minutes of B-roll at the end of every session
By the end of it, you know which problem your buyers care about and which hook gets them to stop.
And if you want more of the $1,000 going into ads, put your creators on commission so they get paid a % of ad spend instead of an hourly rate upfront.
I'd be stressed watching pipeline for those 30 days but honestly that's probably the best reality check
I challenge every B2B SaaS CMO to turn off paid ads for 30 days.
Whatever's left is your real marketing.
For most companies, that’s a scary experiment. 😂
I know… kinda crazy.
Pipeline drops the moment the spend stops, because the attention only lasts as long as the budget.
And buying is only one of three ways to get attention.
1/. Ads buy it. You pay for every click, and the meter never stops running.
2/. Content attracts it. A great post, page, or report keeps bringing people in after you hit publish. But on its own, it fades as soon as people stop seeing it.
3/. Distribution spreads it. Push that content into the places your buyers already spend time, and it starts getting linked, shared, cited by ChatGPT, and repeated in Slack groups. Each piece makes the next one easier to find.
The brands that would pass the 30-day test have that third layer. Their buyers search Google, scroll LinkedIn, or ask ChatGPT, and their name is already there before anyone opens a sales call. No ad required.
That's the layer we've spent years building for B2B SaaS companies at @FoundationIncCo, and it's why we built Distribution(dot)ai too.
Build a product, and you'll have customers. Build distribution, and you'll have a company.
Anything that helps apps keep people around without making the experience annoying is a win 😂

I appreciate when projects are clear about what's live and what's still coming
Two lines on Vangrid's Bounties page contain the words "will follow".
The first: a catalogue of already captured data will follow as coverage grows. Today, the page says, data moves by commission, meaning someone funds a request for a specific place.
The second: per stage progress inside an account, with a live status for each reconstruction, will follow. Today reconstruction typically takes 30 minutes or more, with no stage by stage view.
Small items, both stated plainly on the same page as the live features. That's the habit to look for in any project's docs: do the roadmap lines sit next to what exists, or instead of it?
Elsewhere, three verification layers are marked not live, and the token page says VAN isn't live. Ngl, a project that labels what hasn't shipped makes the things it says have shipped easier to weigh.
docs.vangrid.io/contribute/b… has the page, vangrid.io covers the product, and @vangrid_io is the account behind it.
Saving this for the next time I'm staring at a blank page trying to come up with ad ideas

The reps at Fin and Cresta seem way more bullish on AI than Salesforce's own reps
Salesforce is at it AGAIN. Buying Cresta at an estimated 20x ARR. Few thoughts:
Cresta is a conversation intelligence platform for contact centers. The play would be integrate what Salesforce knows about the customer with what's said on the call and deliver better, faster, cheaper customer management.
They recently acquired Fin, which is similar but more SMB focused vs. Cresta slightly more up market. Fin is digital first vs. Cresta voice first.
There are a number of other vendors in this space and despite Salesforce saying they will be vendor neutral, I have doubts (relevant for Salesforce customers who use
This brings up an interesting point for orgs like Gong who are also conversation intelligence, but more on the GTM vs. contact center side. So either this means they could take this tech and leverage for GTM or possibly a signal that a GTM voice agent platform could be a target. (Attention maybe one to watch here?)
This is the third (meaty) deal in like 2 weeks. Doesn't matter how big your corp dev/integration team is, it's a LOT to swallow.
The sellers at the two new acquired companies (Fin and Cresta) feel better about AI's impact on their product and sales velocity and also have a stronger sentiment around next 12 months GTM execution.
