Justices Alito and Thomas, both fine men, have now staked their legacy on the Court to the GOP winning the WH in 2028.
If both are replaced by a Dem. President, pretty much the entirety of the 6-3 victories they have led over the past decade will be wiped away by a 5-4 liberal court in the blink of an eye.
I admire both. But nothing entitles them to SCOTUS seats for life.
There is always context and responsibility in being entrusted with a SCOTUS seat.
They should have learned that lesson from RBG.
Anthony Kennedy and Stephen Breyer are doing just fine in their post-Court retirements. That is the lesson they should have followed.

Tonight isn’t the end of the world. Those of us who remember 2006, 2008, 2012, and 2020 can assure you that it’s not.
The data center build out was propping up the economy. It was also causing some of the inflation
Iran war likely contributed more to inflation but the data center build out was a huge part of it too
