VIDEO | Mumbai: The Progressive Students Union (PSU) organised a candlelight march at Chaityabhoomi to demand justice in the case of the suicide of IIT Bombay student Sahil Wakode.
Protesters participating in the march were taken into custody. A heavy police force was deployed in the area as a precautionary measure.

12 years ago - Aniket Ambhore's parents also lost their son at IT Bombay. Aniket was also a dalit student who had died by suicide at IIT bombay at least 12 years ago, in 2014.

Mumbai, Maharashtra: On the IIT Suicide Case, Lawyer Representing Sahil Wakode’s Family, Siddharth Sonaji Ingle says, "On the completion of 30 days since Sahil’s alleged death, we went to the IIT campus. We had duly submitted a representation for it and had also received permission. All we wanted was to go to IIT Powai to pay our tributes and find out what happened to Sahil after 12:38, according to the CCTV footage we saw—where Sahil was, who was with him, who stopped him, who questioned him, and who compelled him, who forcefully compelled him, to write the apology letter. We wanted to know all of this. We wanted to know whom Sahil was seen with until his last moments, when he went to his room, and so on..."
