EKIGUMAAZA Pro Max!
When a nation's leadership fails to respect a constitution that determines how power's transitioned, you end up this way.Jostling for space at the feeding trough! Uganda’s future should not be negotiated through elite power-sharing deals with those who gang raped the constitution.

CDF Muhoozi Kainerugaba, "the Cabbage," should arrest himself. The very reasons he gives for picking up Elwelu, abuse of power and participation in subversive activities, are exactly what he is doing. PLU has continued to canvass for his presidency, hiding behind the law and disguising a political power game as a fight for freedom, against corruption, and for the rule of law. Very Subversive. They started with Anita Annet Among because she had built political power and was a political threat. It was never about corruption. If it were, they wouldn't have brutally arrested the youth who marched to Parliament. Subversive much. Then they launched an "anti-corruption" campaign through Balaam's office as Minister of Local Government. But they wear PLU shirts and hold cameras. He is now a content creator, marketing Muhoozi as the man who has come to fight corruption. Extremely Subversive. They picked up Elwelu because he doesn't support Muhoozi's presidential bid. Now they claim he led subversive activities in Teso, simply because he opposes Muhoozi's illegal candidacy. So Subversive. PLU should stop laundering its illegal presidential campaign. And Muhoozi Kainerugaba should arrest himself, because he is the one engaging in the most subversive activities. #FinishTheCabbages

"Do you have to use a teleprompter when speaking about Donald Trump, or are you able to just riff on your thoughts?" Jimmy Kimmel asked. Robert De Niro didn't laugh. "He's so stupid. I mean, look at the lame, inane things that he says," the legendary actor replied bluntly. "He's a moron." The audience chuckled, expecting a standard late-night comedy bit. But the tone quickly shifted from political banter to a raw, heavy dissection of power and devotion. "Do you think he pretends to be dumber than he is to confuse people?" Kimmel asked. De Niro shook his head, his face hardening into absolute disgust. "No. I don't think so." "I'm curious why you guess that there is a big group of people in this country who believe that he cares about them," Kimmel pressed. De Niro leaned forward, his voice heavy with disbelief. "I am totally dumbfounded. Baffled by that. I can't understand it. It's the same thing... 'give us your money, we'll save you.'" The late-night audience was waiting for a punchline. Instead, the actor delivered a chilling psychological autopsy of a man who commands millions, yet is completely hollow inside. "It's all out of insecurity," De Niro said, his voice dropping. "He is deeply, deeply insecure. He's a malignant narcissist. He's a socio-psychopath." Society sells us the delusion that massive influence is built on strength, intellect, and sheer force of will. We assume that to capture the absolute blind loyalty of millions, a leader must possess a brilliant, strategic mind. Robert De Niro exposed a terrifying truth about human nature. The loudest, most destructive people in the room are rarely strong. Often, they are just terrified, insecure children screaming to hide their internal void. The ultimate tragedy isn't that a broken man demands to be treated like a god - it's that millions of people will gladly drop to their knees and hand a terrified child the matches to watch the world burn down.

Ethiopia’s Giant Nile Dam That Egypt Hates Gets a Little Brother Down South on the Omo River! Ethiopia is building another massive hydropower project on the Omo River in the southwest, known as the Koysha Hydroelectric Project. Situated downstream of the Gilgel Gibe cascade, this $2.8 billion roller-compacted concrete gravity dam will soar 170 metres high and generate roughly 2,160 megawatts of clean electricity. Designed to exploit the massive natural flow of the 760-kilometre river basin, Koysha represents the next critical milestone in the country’s ambition to become Eastern Africa’s renewable energy powerhouse. This initiative follows the towering Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) on the Blue Nile. Financed largely through direct citizen contributions, government bonds, and diaspora fundraising, the $5 billion mega-structure reshaped the continent’s infrastructure landscape; even while drawing fierce diplomatic protests and legal challenges from downstream Egypt over freshwater security, and even threats at one point to bomb it. As Africa’s largest power station, GERD boasts an installed capacity of 5,150 megawatts across 13 turbines, delivering an annual output of roughly 15,700 gigawatt-hours from its 74-billion-cubic-metre reservoir. Together, these river developments do far more than light domestic homes; they anchor high-voltage regional power pools, fuel expanding industry, and underwrite Ethiopia’s aggressive shift toward electric transport and international data centres. -Image/ Engineering render of Koysha Dam by Studio Pietrangeli.

During Anita Among’s tenure as Speaker of Parliament, I considered doing my internship at Parliament. However, my first attempt to deliver my application letter was almost frustrated by the security personnel at the entrance gate. When I arrived, I presented my national ID, and they asked me what I had come to do. I told them straight away that I wanted to submit an application for an internship. A gentleman among the security personnel immediately responded, “The Speaker ordered that Parliament should no longer receive interns.” I was like, WHAT!!! Before then, I had tried calling someone who had referred me to his friend at Parliament, but his phone was unreachable. Honestly, I was tossed around like a chicken thief. Eventually, I managed to get some assistance and was allowed to enter. It was my first time stepping into the premises of Parliament, so I walked through almost every corner until I found the Human Resource office. The gentleman I found there was welcoming, but he seemed genuinely surprised by how I had managed to reach his office. His question was, “Who helped you get here?” The surprise in his voice was unmistakable. He then directed me to the office responsible for internships, headed by an elderly woman who appeared to be in her 60s or older. I waited in her office, but she asked me to sit outside. However, I could still hear what was happening inside. At some point, she made about seven phone calls, apparently making inquiries about internship placements. On the last call, someone told her to receive my application but make it clear to me that securing an internship there was impossible. Eventually, she called me in. I signed the necessary documents, and then she looked at me and said: “Rodgers, I won’t lie to you. You may try elsewhere because you cannot get an internship here.” Dear Anita Among, I did not celebrate your downfall because I was raised to respect my elders. However, honestly, I was happy

Editorial: Uganda’s future must not be negotiated behind closed doors Uganda cannot build lasting stability through private agreements among powerful politicians while leaving ordinary citizens outside the conversation. Opposition figures have entered government, alliances have shifted, and former adversaries have found common ground. But agreements among leaders do not automatically resolve the grievances of the people they claim to represent. A young graduate without employment gains little from a political handshake. Neither does a farmer facing a land dispute or a parent unable to afford decent schooling. Saleh’s document recognizes this contradiction. observer.ug/viewpoint/uganda…

🇺🇬 “They will go and breastfeed from the woman to get a charm.” Muzaid Khemis (Arua Central Division) told Parliament that boys involved in crime would breastfeed from a woman to obtain what they believed were charms giving them strength. Defending his claim that witchcraft contributes to insecurity, he said others tied charms around their waists before going out to steal. Watch here:
