Scoring a half-century in 20 innings is hardly something to celebrate. Stop celebrating mediocrity and start celebrating performers.
Players like Nick Welch, Matt Welch, Matt Campbell and Jono Campbell, despite having superior numbers, continue to warm the bench.
Look at the situation:
Jono Campbell: Dropped after captaining Zimbabwe in his debut Test match. It's been more than 18 months since he last represented Zimbabwe.
Nick Welch: Played 8 Tests, scored 3 half-centuries against Bangladesh, Ireland and South Africa. He also has scores of 47* and 49 against Afghanistan and New Zealand respectively. Yet he was dropped, and it's been more than 12 months since his last appearance.
Matt Campbell & Matt Welch: Both are in the prime of their careers, boasting first-class averages of 40 and 35 respectively, yet neither has been given a Test debut.
And then we have Wesley Madhevere, who continues to receive consistent backing across all formats. Apparently, all he needs is one half-century every six months to keep his place in the Zimbabwe team.
I understand there might be nobody willing to ask the difficult questions, but social media gives us the right to raise them, and we will continue to do so.
No amount of bullying or intimidation from the likes of @FrankMawoza1 will stop genuine Zimbabwe cricket well-wishers from questioning selection policies.
We will keep asking questions. Questioning selection is not being anti-Zimbabwe cricket. It's demanding better for Zimbabwe cricket.
And Mr Flash has turned into Mr Sloth 🦥… scoring his 3rd Test 50! 😂😂
"If it’s easy, get a bat and score yours!"
In uncle @FrankMawoza1 Frank's voice 🤣🤣

Their competitive advantage is incentives 🤣🤣🤣💀😂
🔴 A setback for Varun’s ambitions to get incentives for a planned Carlsberg brewery:
The company has a deal with Carlsberg to test and distribute the beer locally, and eventually build a brewery.
Varun applied for Special Economic Zone (SEZ) status for a proposed 22ha brewery in Beatrice. SEZ status would give Varun tax breaks and duty-free imports of raw materials and equipment, incentives it enjoyed for its current operations.
But investment agency ZIDA has turned down the new application, pointing to land tenure issues and failure to meet export requirements.
To qualify for SEZ status, a manufacturer must show it will export at least 80% of its finished products.
ZIDA is still assessing a separate SEZ application for Varun’s new snacks and drinks factory.

Since women are reciprocators and not initiators, why not wait till men first ask you for money before asking them for it? 🫠🫠

kinda reminds me of how if you think about it for more than two seconds you realize that the entire economic system we live in was built around slavery and has been scrambling for slavery-replacement for like 150 years

Hefner understood whores better than damn near anybody and managed them appropriately. They still talking about him.
RIP to such an icon.
Holly Madison was one of the women in Hugh Hefner's bed twice a week at the Playboy Mansion. Every girlfriend took her turn, two minutes each, porn on giant screens, the others pretending to be busy while they waited. She says nobody wanted to be there and everyone just tried to get it over with. And Hefner handed out Quaaludes at clubs, telling her he had "a whole team" in case a girl overdosed.
In the video below, she finally explains how the Playboy Mansion really worked.
She moved in at 22. A girl from Oregon who thought it would be a fun year or two during college. She stayed 7 years.
Hefner barely had to do anything to find girls. They came from clubs, Playmate castings and parties. And in every group, she says, there was a "recruiter." Have another drink. Take this. Want to come upstairs?
There was no drink limit. Everyone got wasted.
She once asked him what would happen if a girl from a club had already taken something and he gave her a Quaalude on top. He admitted it was a concern. Then he kept handing them out.
Every woman who lived in the house long-term was one of his girlfriends. Every Wednesday and Friday after the club, it was the group night. "Your turn." Two minutes. Next girl.
It only stopped when "The Girls Next Door" started filming. Hefner was so high off the show and his new relevance that he no longer needed what she calls compulsive sex nights to feel wanted.
Then there were the rules. A 9 p.m. curfew. She couldn't visit her family for a week, even after years. She saw one girl leave for a few days and come back to find all her belongings packed in boxes outside the back gate.
He played the girls against each other so no one could ever team up against him. Girls listened at bedroom doors. She called the house cult-like.
She tried IVF with him. It didn't work. That was the moment she started thinking about leaving.
In front of everyone at dinner, he called her stupid. When she rolled her eyes once at work, he screamed a slur at her.
When she finally broke up with him, he left his will on her side of the bed so she could see what she'd get if she stayed. He printed out every tabloid story saying her career would be over without him.
She left anyway. She wrote a bestselling book about it. Hefner died in 2017 at 91.
The fantasy everyone envied had a schedule, a curfew and a two-minute timer.
Some lessons are written in other people's mistakes. Watch it once. Remember it forever.
